Enjoyed this quick and colorful read. Definitely fits in with the current times of learning to embrace people of all backgrounds and identities. Children need to learn about teamwork and felt that words of wisdom were beautifully articulated in this book. Wish I could get a hardcover copy to own now!

This book is lovely in every way. The concept of the book is wonderful, and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. I love all of the examples she provides of people’s unique gifts and how all of those gifts work together to create something amazing. I read this story to my children, and they loved it as well. I look forward to sharing about this book on my social media account!

This is another beautifully illustrated story about being yourself and accepting others and their differences. Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper has penned a sweet story about a group of children creating hot air balloons. The story highlights the different ways the children work, their different strengths as well as working and learning together. I loved the illustrations showing all the children busy participating in their tasks. The text was simple, and had a good cadence for reading aloud. The final couple of pages, tied it all together with a heartfelt message. I love that she used a task for the children, but balloons need fire and hot air to fly and this was difficult to explain to my granddaughter. Overall a good book about acceptance and being yourself that can be used in classrooms and schools. The illustrations by Julianna Swaney were gorgeous. They had muted pastel colours, yet were still vibrant and eye catching. The expressions on the faces of the children showed emotions as well. I also loved that they were diverse and showed what an actual neighbourhood or classroom of students would look like.
