The Beaches of Cheyenne is quite a short story, I think I'd call it that rather than a novella. Despite it being a very quick read, it was still enjoyable and I liked seeing Alex and Brody rekindle their romance. As I say this is very short and it's for that reason that I don't give it more stars. I assume that this is a start to a series and I think it works very well like that. I'd be interested to see where the following books go, I hope that they will be a bit longer and develop the storylines further.
I'm not really sure what 'The Beaches of Cheyenne' in the title and referred to in the story was about. I've googled and there is a song by that name apparently, I'm sure that there is some significance and perhaps if you know the track you might understand. Perhaps the author could have added some explanation for those of us that haven't a clue?
I'd like to see what's next in Cannon Creek and I'll be keeping an eye out for more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
