Such great reminders that we can CHOOSE JOY! Our circumstances don't have to dictate our attitudes. We can shine our light and bring the joy wherever we go. 101 wonderful ways to show people in your sphere that you love them, that God loves them and that they matter. Karen always has great tips and tricks for remembering who loves what, like using the note app on your phone. It's for more than just your grocery list.

The publisher sent me early access to read the book. I am so glad that they did! I love how Karen Ehman brings simple easy ways to show people you care about them. It could be something as easy and simple as bringing coffee to a friend just as they like it to giving a Mom the day off. This is a must read book for everyone. It will open your eyes to ways we can be kinder to everyone.

This was a delightful read! I appreciate the positive, uplifting, and care-centered theme of this book, certainly something we need as much of as we can during this season. "Make Their Day" is an easy and quick read, and great for referring to when you want to do something for someone but need some ideas. I love how scripture is woven throughout, though approachable and welcoming to where we could gift this book to someone who is perhaps new to their faith or still deciding on how they feel about it. There's a variety of things to do, budgets, and people to care for, definitely something for everyone at any time. Great message and one that is so easy to promote and cheer for! I look forward to making the day for many of my loved ones and acquaintances, as well as doing this with my friends and family to start new and great traditions and practices!

The publisher sent me early access to read the book, and I'm so glad they did! I truly loved it - as you can tell from this review

What many of our friends and family need most right now is an extra dose of kindness. What the world needs is an extra dose of kindness. Have you ever had the urge to do something nice for someone, but didn’t know what to do? I’ve been there many times. Karen has come to our rescue and created a book full of incredible ideas for making people feel special. Ideas for those nearby, far away, and those we haven’t met yet.

I’ve found that looking outward and finding people to encourage has helped me out of some of my darkest days. Thank you, Karen, for a wonderful tool for the days ahead!

Make Their Day by Karen Ehman is a wonderful collection of 101 delightful ideas of ways you can encourage others. Included are ideas such as leaving out treats for your delivery people, putting together a gift basket of items related around a book, and so many other creative ways to encourage. Some might think of Karen as the "queen of hospitality" who delights with her simple and practical ideas of showing hospitality to others, wherever it may be!

In Make Their Day, Karen shares ideas to encourage friends, your own family, throughout your day and around your town, across the miles or through the internet, those who are hurting or in need, within the church, through holidays as well at in your home. Karen even offers some fun printables.

After reading Make Their Day, you will be inspired by not only the ideas Karen includes but inspired to think of other ideas as well! I was given a free copy from the publisher for my honest review, which I was happy to do. I heartily recommend Make Their Day!

Make Their Day is full of wonderful ideas to touch other’s lives. Some are for hard times but many are just to reach out and say you care. during an ordinary day. Something we all need. A great book to keep on hand when you want to do a little extra for someone you know or even someone you don’t. I know I’ll be referring back to it for the ideas and recipes.

In the deceptively simple format of a list, Karen Ehman provides a wonderful testimony of the love of God in action which spurs the reader on to spread the love themselves. Practical ideas are shared with testimonies of how these ideas have been used to make peoples day by the author and those around her. I have never been so touched by a list before.

Karen Ehman seems to thrive by doing things for others and she wants to share her knowledge and insight with you. She enjoys spreading kindness to those around her – and wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all did that?
Make Their Day is basically a book of lists – ways to make someone’s day a little brighter, a little easier, a little more fun. The subtitle says it better – “101 simple, powerful ways to love others well.” Karen gives you 101 ways to spread love and kindness to those around you.
The book is broken down into groupings: In Your Circle of Friends, Within Your Own Family, Across the Miles or through the Screen and others. Some ideas are very simple like buying coffee for a friend or writing someone a handwritten note about how much they mean to you. Others are more elaborate and would take more planning – like planning a slumber party for you and your friends or creating a snack station at your office so people can stop by for a quick pick-me-up. I’d like to say the ideas are endless, but truly there are 101 of them – but they can spark a person’s creativity to come up with some of their own ideas too.
I really enjoyed this book and the ideas Karen shared! I hope to encourage my family to spread kindness now and throughout the new year. If you are tired of all the negativity and anger going around in the world today, get this book and follow the suggestions to bring more love and kindness to those around you. Maybe it will start a movement!
I was given an advanced reading copy of “Make Their Day” by Karen Ehman for an honest evaluation of the book.

I read this book and it has so many ways ideas I could take away and use on a daily basis. Karen gives practical ideas on how to focus on others and make them feel loved and appreciated. So often I think doing something for someone else has to take lots of time and effort but in reality I can do things that are easy, don't cost much if anything and really show someone else love. I would highly recommend this book.

I received a digital ARC of this book from the publisher as part of the book launch team. Gift Giving is my love language so joining this book launch was a no-brainer for me. Karen gives you 101 ways to bless others from simple to extravagant, from your friends and family to your neighbors and church members. Karen breaks up those 101 ideas into 8 categories and gives you ideas on how to make someone's day in that category. Karen even has recipes and gift tags included in the book that you can copy and put with the gift of choice. Not all gifts cost money, some are just giving of your time or talents. Most of these you can even do during our current pandemic. Who doesn't need a nice little surprise after the year we've had? I highly recommend buying this book! It's an easy read, and you don't even have to read the whole thing all at once, you can just have it as an idea book. Need an idea to bless a friend, go to that section. Need an idea to bless a neighbor, go to that section. What are you waiting for? Go "Make Their Day"!

There are so many good, and some very creative, ideas how to bring joy and show love to others. What a great idea for a book! This is the book for you if you're looking for ways of how you can spread more kindness and love to the people around you. I loved all the ideas she had and it got me thinking of new ones of my own. I can't wait to try it out!

In Make Their Day, Karen Ehman presents creative ways to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others.
Some of my favorites were the book baskets, (which involve gathering things that were meaningful in a book to gift along with it, including baked goods and vintage stocking stuffers such as oranges), the sneak-a-snack stations, and the "carrot" strawberries. And I enjoyed the anecdotes of how the author saw the impact that kindness had on the people she and others reached out to.
This book would be a good resource for those looking for creative opportunities to be a blessing to someone. I now want to go bake a big batch of muffins to share. 😊

A sweet simple book with lots of suggestions about how to show love to everyone in your life: Whether they're friends, neighbors, family or even strangers. The book itself is much like the point it makes. It only takes a short time to read through the ideas and it doesn't take long to make someone's day. I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. My opinion is entirely my own.

This book was received as an ARC from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I see on social media all the time, the impact small deeds have on an individual and how their day is brightened no matter what kind of deed it is. I love the ideas Karen Ehman had in this book especially the deeds titled “send an un-birthday gift.” Being a Disney fan, everyone has 365 un-birthdays and why not celebrate it for fun. I loved the idea so much that I am inspired to do a library program based on the concept alone (thank you Karen). This book really exemplified how good everyone feels after they do a good deed and they go way beyond, paying for the person behind you in the drive through line. I know this book will do very well in our library and I can’t wait to see how our community will receive it.

We will consider adding this title to our B Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Make Their Day by Karen Ehman is 101 different ways to love others well. And this book surely follows through.

Inspirational, I loved how Karen took every day ways to bless others. It was amazing how little simple ideas generated creativity. Some at low or no cost. Yet they significantly show love to your family, friends, neighbors, even strangers.

Although it is not a big book, it was a quick read, and a handy reference to check back for reinforcement. My favorite one was "Notice the necessary people". Karen shares about Mr. Brown Day, when her family honored their post man. It was touching how she looked beyond herself and into the face of others who serve us faithfully.

I think Make Their Day would be a great book to give to friends and relatives. After all we could all use 101 ways to bring joy to someone's day.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Net Galley and the publisher. All views expressed are my

What a thoughtful and thought provoking book. I loved it immensely! Make Their Day talks about different ways you can enrich the lives of others. It is filled with creative ideas to make those around you feel loved and special.

I started this book and read it in one sitting. So many of the author's ideas had me pausing to think of a person that would love to be blessed by an action suggested in this book. There are also many ideas that the author covered that my best friend and I implemented in our lives throughout the years and that has rendered some of the best memories of my childhood with my friend.

If you have a giving heart and love to bless others around you, this book is for you!

Karen Ehman’s books are always joy-filled, and this book is no exception! As someone who isn’t very creative, this book is an incredible resource for anyone who is looking for ways to be a light in their corner of the world. Not only are there 101 ways to love those around you outlined in this book, but there are also variations laid out along with each method so that even someone lacking creativity can come up with something they’re comfortable doing.

This book had some really great ideas for how to bless and serve other people. For someone who is not creative, this would be invaluable. It's hard to think outside the box when it comes to gifts and blessing others and this does it for you. It's a great little book. If you're looking for ways to bless the world around you I highly recommend it. Thank you to #netgalley and #MakeTheirDay for allowing me to read this title in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say, this little book has really encouraged me to step out of my rut and to be kind to other people. Ehman does a great job of giving very practical and doable suggestions on how to love the people in your life. I also appreciate that she offers tips for those beyond the inner circle but also the people in your life that care and provide for you such as the grocery staff, pastors, and mail carriers.

There's something simple that we can do to change people's day. A lot of it comes down to noticing them and expressing your gratitude for them being present in your life. This book with 101 ways to love people is just the boost we need in the midst of this very late spring. Ehman doesn't just give ideas, she also provides some copy and print materials in the book to help make it even easier for you to love on all the people in your life.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for the purpose of review. I'm never required to say good things but I'm always thankful when I can.

This book was sent to me as an ARC on NetGalley. However all opinions are of my own.
I’ve been really looking for books related to religion (especially Christianity) & I feel this book was a great starting point. One thing I will point out is that it’s definitely more of a book for Americans with many more days to celebrate than the UK. However, it was a great book. I loved how the concept was around giving back, even when you don’t have to spend a penny. It’s more about the thought of things that go into the gestures. I always loved the quotes from the Bible for each section of the book!

I received an ARC from BethanyHouse Publishers, via NetGalley. This review is my personal opinion.

What an unexpected and lovely book, Karen Ehman did a lovely job with this creative and heartfelt book. Many times we want to either give a gift or many help someone and we don’t have a clue. These practical and easy-to-follow 101 ideas will help you with that, divide it into eight different sections you can see the specific group or moment that adjusts. I like that we have all types of ideas, easy, fun, elaborate, and the most important is that you have the opportunity not only to be a blessing but also to share beautiful moments and create new traditions.

We all could use a pick-me-up every now and then. Ehman gives 101 ways to love someone well in many different categories, across a variety of recipients, and a variety of price ranges (although, most are very reasonable, or free) This book is an excellent guide to out-of-the-box ways to surprise someone and to put a smile on their face, whether it be your spouse, child, neighbor, co-worker, or acquaintance. If you are looking for easy ways to bless someone, look no further.
