A wonderful and emotional story! This book doesn’t come out until February, but I already have it on my list to get a physical copy as soon as it hits the shelves. This book hit me right in my mom soul. I am always wishing I could rewind or pause time. But also am so excited to see what kind of people my kids grow up to be. My kids loved the imagination and adventures in the pages. The story is written with such a nice rhythm which I always look for in children’s stories. The illustrations are gorgeous, swipe to see some of our favourite pages.

Absolutely adore this book! The words are honestly what every mama wishes they could articulate, but cannot. Linsey's text is just perfect and heat-melting! I cannot wait to buy this for our home library AND for gifts for others! The illustrations are beyond gorgeous!

This begins with a nighttime scene that is aimed at children, but is reminiscent of Van Gogh’s beauty in Starry Night, and it continues to share a touch of that in every page, making this a joy to read, and a joy, visually, as well.
’The sleepy sun is setting, and another day is done.
The lightning bugs have dimmed their lights and bedtime has begun.’
This is how the story begins, with the swirling nighttime sky as background, but it continues to share the love of a parent for their child, and to share the things that the parent will always remember and cherish, the things that make them unique, from the way they wake up each morning to the generosity of showing and sharing love, to the sound of something as sweetly innocent as their giggles.
This was such a joy to read, loved how this covers such a diverse topic of things and ways that show how each child is uniquely wonderful.
This beautiful book is the third book by news correspondent Linsey Davis. I loved this story as well as the illustrations, making this a must for me to buy as soon as possible for some of the youngest ones in my family. It is aimed at ages 4-8, but I think younger readers will enjoy it at their own level, and I think parents will love it for the lovely message on diversity and acceptance it shares.
