Description
I am The Rage by debut author Martina McGowan is an illustrated poetry collection that explores racial injustice from the raw, unfiltered viewpoint of a Black woman in America.
The title poem, I am The Rage, was written in June during the protests in the U.S. calling for justice for all, while people were being unlawfully murdered on the streets, and in their homes, without due process.
The entire collection of 30 poems was written in 2020 – many of the poems shortly after the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.
I am The Rage is meant to empower those looking for their voice to be heard and those looking to push their perspectives beyond their own.
