I loved this so much, I wasn’t sure if I would knowing it was about covid and usually I just want to forget about all of that while reading, but this was SO GOOD and I hope everyone reads it if you need something joyful

Kaye is shocked when Wen - an Insta celebrity they're a huge fan of - reaches out to them over the internet during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. The two grow closer in over the following months in this gorgeous short. This is the only YA I've read so far that deals with COVID-19 and it's going to be hard to improve on it! It's a super-cute romance with two utterly charming leads, and I read it with a massive smile on my face all the way through. The way it builds up, showing scenes from the two main characters' lives as they support each other throughout a traumatic year, is really sweet and perfectly-paced.. The dialogue is sparkling and both of the leads are adorable. Huge recommendation as a perfect pick-me-up for anyone who wants to read a story that will show a glimmer of hope to all of us trying to get through the current situation.
