Description
The
story is a political thriller, set in Washington and London. The
shooting of US Senator Charles McKinsey and the near fatal crash of
media tycoon John Rochester trigger an investigation by reporter Mike
McCabe. The story that unfolds is a thrilling contemporary tale of
violence, political intrigue, conspiracy and duplicity, involving
power, the banks, the security agencies and basic human frailty.
Apart from the basic theme, it raises
a number of other contemporary issues, principally the effect of the
banks on the US and the world economies, our frightening subservience
to that power and its influence when in the hands of the
irresponsible.
