This is a fun, action packed book for kids to read on their own. It has short chapters and short paragraphs so it’s not overwhelming for kids who may struggle. The illustrations were cute too!

My daughter LOVES this series so much and I am excited to leave a review for Saving Cosmo! The illustrations are so cute and fun. The story is full of action to keep young readers engaged and turning pages. I love how at the end there is "more to explore" with information on the origami cup used in the story, Sally Ride, Space X, and more! Such a nice addition to this sweet sci-fi for kids. The series inspires my kids so much to play with slime and call it their pet!

*Thanks Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

What a sweet, endearing adventure in this continuing story featuring Piper and her magical pet slime, Cosmo—this time in a strange and mysterious plot worked by the MaLa corporation.

Read and reviewed by seven-year-old Amy.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC copy of this book.
This is a very interesting chapter book. The main character of this book is Piper. Piper makes slime into a pet and calls it Cosmo. Piper and Cosmo are great friends and are very happy together. Everything in their life is good until one day when Cosmo falls ill. Will Piper be able to save Cosmo or lose it forever? Read this fun-filled adventure to find out.
I loved the themes of this book, which are friendship and never giving up.
I recommend this book to children five years and above.
I give this book 5/5 stars because it is fun to read, and I enjoyed it a lot. I would love to read more books in this series.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I got this book without reading the first two, so it took my kid a while to get into the story, I had to fill in on the gap for her using my imagination.

Overall, very cute story, Piper accidentally got very precious space dust on her pet slime, and it came to life. Now she's on the run with her ultra- cool scientist grandma, bestfriend and her pet slime of course. The adventures in this book included betrayal from Uncle Ricky, escaping from jail cell using origami art, sliding down the longest, most twisty slide ever, and rocket launch to Jupiter.

Mix with the story are dropped knowledge from Albert Einstein's "Energy equal mass x speed of light squared, Sally Ride, first American woman in space and the portfolio career of Da Vinci. I also love the wisdom of this paragraph "You dont have to apologize. You Trusted someone. There's nothing wrong with that. It's the sign of a good person".

Very good book.

Cosmo is really cute and I liked the action-adventure plot going on. I just wished there was more illustrations because they are all so cute! I think this is a fun book to read, especially for children. It has the right amount of action, plot, and adorableness.

This title is the third entry in the exciting children’s series about Piper and Cosmo. The books are best read in order as the adventures build. That said, readers new to the series are brought up to date in the first chapter.

Each chapter is fairly short, has illustrations and is engaging and entertaining. Beginning chapter book readers will delight in these stories. They have humor, suspense…and, of course, a rather surprising pet.

As this story opens, Piper, her grandmother, Cosmo (the pet slime), and Piper’s friend Claire are being held in at the headquarters of Ma La, a dangerous corporation. Will they escape? Who are the bad guys? Are there any good guys? How does Cosmo help the characters to figure this out? How do Piper and the others use their skills, including origami, to help themselves?

The novel will have readers racing through the chapters as they wait to see what happens. They will enjoy seeing how clever and empowered Piper is as she plots her escape. They will also be interested in what happens at Piper’s grandmother’s lab and more.

Adults will appreciate the bits of education in the novel. Children learn a little about Jackson Pollock and Banksy. They also find out a bit about Sally Ride, Albert Einstein and DaVinci. There are also science facts.

This book is recommended for young readers. It will entertain them as they also learn a little. In a section at the end of the book, kids will learn how a glass can help them to hear through walls, how to make an origami cup, who Sally Ride was and something about SpaceX.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

This is the third book in a series. When Piper finds out that her Pet Slime comes to life, everything turns weird!! She must make sure Cosmo stays alive and help everything else going in her life!! This would be a great read aloud for a classroom or just to have in a classroom library!!

This is a cute book that I think many of my students would enjoy. We use the epic! Platform all the time in my classroom, and I have seen many of my students read the other books in this series, so I know they would love this one as well. I like that the book is illustrated and that the chapters are short. This is great to keep kids’ attention. Another great thing about this book is the language, it is accessible and would be easy for many kids to read and comprehend. Overall, I think this is an awesome book that will hold the interest of many young readers!

This is the third book in the My Pet Slime series. I read the first one to my grandson, but missed the second. We read this one together and he enjoyed Piper and Cosmo's adventures. Cosmo is Piper's pet made from slime and when it was accidentally sprinkled with space dust, it comes alive. In the last book, Piper's grandma is kidnapped by an evil company MALA, but Piper and Cosmo help her escape. This book begins where the last one ends. Now they are on the run - Piper, cool scientist grandma, new bestfriend Clare and her pet slime of course. The adventures in this book included betrayal from Clare's Uncle Ricky, escaping from jail cell using origami, sliding down the longest, most twisty slide ever, a motorcycle race, and a rocket launch to Jupiter. Piper and Cosmo are wonderful friends, but Cosmo is sick. His color is fading and Piper figures the only way to save him is to ship him to Jupiter. Fortunately, they figure out what is wrong, so Cosmo will be around for another adventure. Each chapter is fairly short, has large, colourful, cute illustrations and is engaging and entertaining. Beginning chapter book readers will enjoy these stories. They have humor, suspense…and, of course, a rather surprising pet. I love the end pages that include "more to explore" with information on the origami cup used in the story, Sally Ride, Space X, and more! He enjoyed the idea that slime could become a pet and once again, we got out the recipe from the first book and made some slime to play with. We took turns reading pages of this one and he enjoyed using the pictures to figure out some of the vocabulary that was a bit difficult for him. I recommend this one for children as young as 5 (if an adult is reading it to them) and for independent readers as young as 7 or 8.
