This was such a fresh and interesting take on the vampire story! I will admit, I didn't read the tags on Goodreads, and I love how the synopsis skirted around vampirism because when I got to a very telling part in the book I was genuinely surprised. I was already interested but my interest little skyrocketed after that.
I am very excited for the sequel!
