A beautiful fantasy adventure full of action and romance!

I love the main characters Raden and Keilah. Their bantering was reminiscent of the enemies-to-lovers trope and I’m a sucker for that type of romance—especially in a fantasy!

And this fantasy sucks you in with its beautiful world building reminiscent of Viking/Nordic culture (which I’m also a sucker for). The way the author writes is in that fairy-tale-classic-hero’s-journey-in-a-medieval-kind of setting that really gets you into the world shes created.

And I must say, it is a sort of refreshing take to go back to the classic male hero, princess needing help kind of fantasy as that isn’t seen much anymore these days and it almost feels like it truly is a classic fantasy novel right next to Lord of the Rings. It really reminded how much I enjoyed the classic fantasy tropes and character archetypes!

Can’t wait to see what book two has in store once it’s released!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. At times, I was confused by the characters’ motivations, but in the end, I think it resolved itself fairly well.

This is an enjoyable time travel , past lives , romantic read .
Fast paced and full of suspense with the characters that draw you in ,
the book takes you on a ride where battles are fought with uncertain
outcomes , where betrayal leads to obsession and vengeance .
I especially enjoyed the banter between the characters both major and minor .
I look forward to the next book in the series
