This story was so sweet, and I absolutely loved everything about it. I loved Lanie and Noah’s characters and even though you could see how their story ended a million miles away, I still felt like their slow burn romance, was magical and had all the fluffy love stuff that just warms your heart. 😍

This was such a fun read! The story was able to pull me in so much so that my sudden happy tears were a complete surprise! When I thought I had this book figured out, it would completely blow through my expectations and drag me along for the ride. Not sure if this checks the box for slow burn but I personally enjoy those more than ‘all action all the time’ plots. Also it was such an easy read to get into if you need to pull yourself out of a reading slump.

Thank you to Net Galley and GP Putnam for a DRC in exchange for an honest review.

I liked all the characters. BD is a hoot, I want to be her when I grow up. Rufus and Meg are such good friends, they cater to Lanie's every need without questions even when she doesn't realize she needs them.
I adored the slow burn romance, the deep dialogues super charges with emotions. I enjoyed the depth of the characters feelings and their back stories, This story is cute and magical. I loved the simple but sweet ending.

I loved this book. I read it in one sitting. I’m all in for slow-burn, friends-enemies-to friends-to-lovers romance with great banter. It was like a love letter to writing, to New York City and to love. And to the women who raise and inspire us. It was also very low-angst, which is what I’m leaning towards right now. I loved all the details about writing. One of my favorite lines was: “I think what you’re talking about is the second draft effect . . . You know how the second draft is the point where things start to make sense?”
