Babies on Board part 1 is the sixth book in the Grumpy the Iguana and Green Parrot Adventure series. It is a family beach day for our four friends, Grumpy, the Green Parrot, Mr. Squirrel and Little Mouse. When they arrive at the beach, they notice an unusual area that is protected by yellow tape and poles. It is a baby sea turtle nest and Little Mouse is very curious.
They also encounter an old friend at the beach and, they make a vow to work together and help their friend as he waits for the birth of his children.

Little Mouse puts his paw into his Wish Box and recovers a wish that says; BEACH DAY WITH YOUR FAMILY. Oh boy, it's going to be a great day now with his new family... a new adventure is on the horizon. He gathers Grumpy the Iguana, The Green Parrot, Mr. Squirrel and off they go to the beach for the day. Little did they know what would be in store for them.
They put on their beach attire, and Grumpy and Green Parrot bring along "a beach umbrella, snacks, water, and a huge paddle board." The happy family is all set to go.
While at the beach an unfortunate unexpected occurrence happens to Little Mouse. His scary mishap results in a reunion with an old friend, a sea turtle, who just happens to be in the area. This gives the thankful group an opportunity to help the sea turtle out as he awaits the birth of his hatchlings.
The author very cleverly introduces important environmental issues to kids as they engage in the story giving the book an educational element. I like that aspect of the book. The illustrations are simple, large and very kid-friendly. The book highlights friendship, diversity, acceptance and the love of family. It's a sweet book which I recommend.

This was a very cute very sweet book perfect for babies and little children. Feel like reminding your child of their days as a baby? This is perfect. This was sweet and exactly what I needed for a fast pace read I felt like was good enough for the children around me. I really did love this book and found myself smiling through it. It’s a perfect children’s board book. I can’t say much on it, but it’s definitely worth the purchase!
