3.5 stars. This is more of an enrichment book than a story book, but bright, lively illustrations will definitely capture kids' interest as they read fun facts about a lot of different animals. Since animals are usually a very appealing topic for pre-K and elementary students , this could be an attractive prospect to get a reluctant reader to pick up a book.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
The graphics were very clear and the story overall was about teaching young children the different animals in the zoo. However, I would have liked to see the mother and daughter have a name. That helps connect with the character.
Overall, as a teaching book, it's great.
