Not like any book I’ve read before but loses nothing for that. I could not see where the story would go but I don’t want to reveal anything so will only add it probably had the only fair ending it could have. Heartbreaking in parts and no sugar coating of the very real mental health issues throughout.
The characters were finely drawn with as many flaws as we all have. I’m not sure I ever want to read this subject matter again but I did think the book was excellent.
