Publishers Weekly #1 Summer Romance Read

"Filled with delectable delights and heart-tugging insights . . . Stunning." - Publishers Weekly, starred review

All bets are off in the City of Light . . . where life and love can change in less than a day

After calling off her engagement, Mira escapes on an all-expense paid business trip to Paris. Despite the delicious food and flowing wine, she can’t forget the ache of leaving her fiancé behind or the fact that she’s just blown up her personal life. And messing up simply isn’t Mira.

She’s used to being in control. Meticulously planning. But now she’s at the mercy of the travel gods, and they are not acting in her favor. Subways are missed. Trains don’t run. Flights are overbooked. And by the time she arrives at the airport to go home, there are no new flights to NYC until the next day. The worst part? She’s now stuck in Paris for twenty-four hours with her arrogant and insufferable co-worker Jake whose constant flirting and annoying optimism is more than she can handle.

But as they spend the next twenty-four hours in Paris, exploring the city in all its beauty, Mira realizes that she and Jake have more in common than they thought, and he may turn out to be the best thing she discovers in the City of Love.

This book was a perfect (I mean PERFECT) romance. When Mira misses her flight home from Paris, she and her colleague are left with 24 hours before their next flight. Before this day, they didn’t know each other…but they go on to have an adventure neither of them will forget. Slow burn, witty dialogue, hilarious moments mixed with real ones, and the characters even dealt with their inner demons…I cannot wait for the sequel.

Murder on the menu
This cozy mystery was a good read for me. Perhaps not a great one—but an enjoyable one. It definitely took a little while to get into, and I felt like it took me longer to get through than most cozy mysteries usually do.

I loved the concept of policewoman-turned-chef to follow her passions, and was excited to see where that storyline led. What I didn’t expect was that cooking would become such a fractional part of the story as Nosey turned toward investigating, that there would be so little info or background on her love of cooking, or whether she even left the police force of her own will. (Read and judge for yourself!)

DCI Withers was difficult to figure out—and even up until the end I couldn’t tell if he was being insufferable because he found her annoying, or petulant, or the story was building to a slow burn. I was disappointed in this story arc’s ending…as well as the storyline with Tony’s ending. But I’ll read the second book in this series to see if they go further with either of them as the series continues.

I really liked the complex mystery written into this book. Yes, there was some shoddy investigating (not all of it!), but there were a handful of twists I didn’t see coming! While this story wrapped up at the end of the book, there are many loose ends hanging around. I hope they get tied up in the next book!! I would say this was a 3-star read for me…but the loose ends and the writing was enough to hook me for the rest of the series, which I look forward to reading.

I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of great character development. I like that it gave names of the cafes and places they stopped during the 24 hours in Paris.

Thank you go net galley and Wattpad Books for this ARC!

24 Hours in Paris was a cute read! The two main characters, Jake and Mira, are stuck in Paris together after missing their flight home from a business trip. Mira has a whole bucket list of sights to see and Jake ends up along for the ride.

I did not like Mira at first because she is very negative and rigid, but those do become endearing qualities by the end. Jake is adorable, end of story. They do have good chemistry together too. I also liked the side characters, especially Eloise and Alexandre with their scheming to help get Mira and Jake together.

The plot was sweet, but the idea of going to 24 hours worth of sight, bars, and parties without sleep made me tired. The ending was sweet, but left me wanting more. Hopefully there is more to Jake and Mira's story in another book down the line.

Loved the way this book covered so much in a sort of fast paced way. It didn’t feel like it was dragging on at any point and kept me interested with their love story and their plans for the rest of the day. I loved both of their personalities. How it went from ‘opposites attract’ to ‘maybe we’re not that different after all.’ Enemies to lovers was a brief trope, so brief I would not truthfully consider it that, but I wouldn’t really say that it was strangers to lovers either. There were multiple tropes that this book delved into, just enough that you should want to pick it up!

I love a getaway romance, and this one reminded me so much of why I do. The escapism was perfect, and I think we all could use some more of it in our lives.

Talk about swoon-worthy! I enjoyed the story and looked forward to what came next. Yes, predictable can be fun and exciting as well. Don't put this book down.

Mira is a mood. Her snark hit so good! She’s on a business trip in Paris- a city she has basically had dream-board for for years- and yet she’s stuck going to tourist trap restaurants with her awful co-workers. So yeah, she’s salty. And not to mention she’s avoiding an arranged marriage as well. After a series of annoyances (I personally have been stuck in both Paris and in Italy due to strikes and/or broken trains, so I really felt for our heroine) she’s stuck in Paris for an additional 24 hours, on a super tight budget annnnnddddd stuck with her office nemesis, Jake. Mira is on a mission to strike out her Paris bucket list. I feel this deeply girl. I too am a compulsive planner/dreamer. She not only will have a place in mind, she knows the history of said place, as well as trivial information. Hi, it’s me. Mira would be my dream travel companion. And if I’m honest- we aren’t many peoples dream travel companions. But what a dream Jake is to so cooly and easily go along and LISTEN to Mira’s chatter. It’s subtle, but Jake is dreamy little by little. I mean, he’s charming about her sniffing old books in a Parisian bookshop for goodness sake! *le sigh*

This sweet little book really exceeded my expectations! It was really relatable with all the right cheesy romance you want in a rom-com. And I was happy to see a little author’s note mentioning how Mira and Jake’s story isn’t over yet….

24 Hours in Paris by Romi Moondi was a quirky but swoon worthy read. Mira calls off her engagement and heads to Paris on a work trip where everything is paid for by the company. Through all the wining and dining, Mira realizes she has royally messed up her perfect life which is something she doesn't normally do. This was a fun rom-com. While predictable, it sucks the reader in and you keep wanting to know more.

great story of spending one day in paris . I loved that they eat food and got to know one another. I loved that they sizzled and talked alot during the time. I liked that they really didn't like another but slowly grew to romance . I liked that they found things to talk about.

This was a cute and quick read. Mira is a fun main character. She is on a Paris business trip right after calling of her engagement. She is having a great time until she misses her flight. Her coworker also misses his flight. Someone she despises. What could go wrong?! She and Jake spend the hours waiting for another flight together. She discovers they have more in common than they believed.
