Description
In the bloody civil war against the tyrannical emperor Laomedon, the rebels' advance has stalled before the impregnable fortress of Gla. Perhaps Thallia, the daughter of its commander, might provide the means to engineer its fall? Harpalycus, the Mykerenaean military commander, attempts to use her but unlocks far more than he planned.
She is more important than is realised and finds herself a helpless pawn in dark and dangerous power plays. A straw borne on turbulent waters, she has no control over what will be her final destination.
Nor, for that matter, does he.

I really enjoyed reading. It was a bit daunting seeing the word count and worrying it would drag on but the story flowed beautifully and I enjoyed the descriptions. They really helped to immerse me in the story and characters.
