This rhyming picture book tells the story of a lemon trying to find a party but he stumbles upon lots of strange scenes on the way. The illustrations in this book are really unique, they are made up of a variety of real objects as well as clay and paper objects put together with backdrops as well as what appears to be some natural outdoor photos. It really shows that anything can be used to make something else, to create art and to tell a story. I would use this book as an inspiration for lessons on photography and art. The story is random and fun and I think that kids would enjoy it. It is also a bit of an I-Spy type book with lots of random items to check out in the background. Definitely a unique and interesting book that I would recommend parents and teachers of children in the age 3-1o range check out! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

This delightful rhyming picture book uses an adorable lemon as the main character. She is looking for a party and sets off on a mission to find one with her friends. The readers, of course, are invited to join in on the celebration. Want to go?

The illustrations are amazing and each additional character is created out of something unique: combs with wigs, fruit in suits, and dogs made out of bread, just to name a few. The eclectic crowd will have kids giggling and wanting to join in for sure.

The rhymes and illustrations are a perfect marriage making this playful and whimsical book a winner. It touts diversity, inclusivity, friendship, problem solving and tons of creativity. I love it and kids will too. I highly recommend, "Come on in: There's a Party in This Book!

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a lot of fun, like a big I spy game, my 6 years old thought it was very neat to see the picture and especially the words formed by objects. A great book to show kids about different mediums that could be used to create art.
