Description

The 18th Shadow Second Edition Boxset comprises the first three phases of this cyberpunk action series by indie sci-fi author, Jon Lee Grafton.

Described as, "Blade Runner meets The Outlaw Josey Wales..." by fans; The 18th Shadow is set in a near future American universe where cannabis is the recreational drug of choice and alcohol is once again prohibited. In a totalitarian, late 21st century Kansas, the punishments for violating alcohol crimes are abstract and severe.

The tale centers around the lead character, Tara Dean, a rebellious telepath sentenced to be lobotomized for her alcohol crimes.  On the edge of doom, her powers begin to manifest during the first phase of the book as the deep complexities behind the seemingly simple, urbane world of middle America begin to evidence themselves all around her.

Cyborg canines roam the streets, drones float in the skies and the computer in every citizen's jaw tells them how to behave.  In the universe of The 18th Shadow, hackers and criminals are the only heroes left.
