Just finished reading Replay, a second chance, sports related romance novel. I have to admit, this trope is one that I love, and Ms. Rossi has done a nice job. I like Aria a lot and am so glad she made a good life for herself when Niall dropped her after high school. While, I like Niall now, I did have issues with his younger self and had a hard time reconciling what we found out about how he ended things with Aria and how he acted now. I guess the way his relationship with Renee played out made him take a long hard look at himself and he didn’t like what he saw. Good book, but I’ve read others that were better, so a strong 4 stars. Thank you NetGalley for for an advanced copy!

This book was amazing, it had romance, steamy chemistry, drama, action, and a happily ever after. I strongly recommend you read this book, you won't be disappointed.

Aria and Niall were high school sweethearts with big plans for the future...until Niall became a celebrated college football player and found the temptations of life as a star too irresistible to pass up. Years later they meet again at the school where Aria teaches and Niall has come to fill his time as a substitute coach after an injury ends his pro career and his fiancee dumps in him spectacular fashion. Knowing now what he didn't know then, Niall regrets letting go of someone who truly loved him, but Aria has moved on and doesn't instead to risk her heart again.

This is a relatively low-angst, closed door romance, but unfortunately the writing style didn't quite work for me. The prose is very on-the-nose and tends to err on the side of telling vs showing. The story is narrated so briskly it doesn't always leave a lot of space for nuance or feelings. I had a hard time connecting and getting emotionally invested.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

A sweet second chance romance with a nice bit of sports added. These two connect again a little more quickly than seems likely, but it's a cute story with some laughs and drama :)

Quick Summary: A second chance at forever romance

My Review: Replay by Topaz Rossi was a first love to loss to forever love story.

Two high school sweethearts, Aria and Niall, were set to be together and to build a future. Unfortunately, Niall was lured away from his heart's truest desire and from the family he wanted. After a career ending injury, his life changed. He was granted a second chance to love the woman he should have always been with.

My Final Say: This story will appeal to those who like second chance romances. It does much to celebrate family bonds and reconciliation. The author addressed many issues, such as dementia, single parent families, gender equality in sports, rescue pets, military deployment, and adoption..

ARC provided by the publisher and Netgalley for my honest review and opinion. I was rooting for this romance from the beginning sensing the pain and anguish of the past. Topaz Rossi provided a great romance with many swoon-worthy moments. The detailed character build-up engrossed my heart from the beginning.

Overall I liked the story. I really liked how the characters were built up and backstory were established. There were a few odd moments particularly at the end (also when did something become "knuckle butted" instead of a fist bump? I like sports related romance and second chances so this book was right up my alley but the end felt really rushed. Also what girl in their right mind just automatically forgives someone after no contact for 2 months and bam gets engaged to them? No way. That part felt a little too unrealistic. Also the adoption bit felt off - especially if Jakes dad was the warrior he was portrayed to be.

I loved this book and I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. If you love a great sports romance book you will love this book. The chemistry and attraction was great and it fun seeing them try to hide there attraction towards each other.

I loved this book so much. There were so many swoon worthy moments & I was rooting for the main characters from the very beginning. I loved that the backstory was there, as well as the character development. My only complaint is that the ending felt rushed.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Aria and Niall. They have known each other all their lives. They dated in high school. Niall had a football scholarship and aria when to college to be a teacher. Niall injures his knee and has to retire. He comes back to his hometown to coach the local high school because his previous high school coach called and ask him to take over. While at the high school he runs into Aria.
