Brandon Lane Phillips is a "wish kid" who is so desperate to understand his health issues and parents' divorce that he prays to God asking for reassurance. Soon after, Brandon learns his wish to meet child actor Jeremy Miller from TV's Growing Pains will be granted. That meeting would be life changing for both of them.

Years later, just as Brandon is graduating from medical school, his and Jeremy's paths cross again. Jeremy ultimately shares previously untold "secrets" from his childhood that shock Brandon and bring him to tears. Only God could have predicted how Brandon's life and those of the stars of his favorite childhood TV show would intertwine. Both Jeremy and Brandon ultimately find God-inspired purpose for their lives and hope for their futures because of a prayer made by a young boy in search of answers.
