Description

Green Rush Fever is the cannabis cultivation book that only a lawyer, author, and black hemp farmer could have written.

Green Rush Fever is about the author and his family's fascinating entrance into the nascent Florida hemp industry in 2019, when they grew more than a thousand industrial hemp plants on their family farmlands in the Red Hills region of northeast Leon County, Florida. Their historic achievement for black farming was accomplished by being a part of the first group of private farmers selected to participate in the Florida A&M University Industrial Hemp Pilot Project. Aside from the author's analysis about cultivating the cannabis plant of industrial hemp, the book also speaks about his family's tradition of having a strong conviction in their faith and a tenacious belief in the power of having the robust loving support of one's family members. From his family's humble cottage industry sugarcane syrup operation, to being issued a planting permit in the inaugural year for Florida’s industrial hemp pilot project, the book demonstrates the issues his small family farm encountered along their journey including the hemp genetics they chose to grow, their soil preparation and cultivation techniques, and how they ultimately harvested and dried the more than a thousand industrial hemp plants on their family farm.
