Description

Inspired by an abandoned box of mementos, The Museum of Ordinary People is a poignant and uplifting story that celebrates everyday lives and encourages us to cherish those around us and appreciate ordinary moments.

Still reeling from the sudden death of her mother, Jess is about to do the hardest thing she's ever done: empty her childhood home so that it can be sold.  But while in the process Jess meets the mysterious Alex, and together they become custodians of an extraordinary archive of letters, photographs, and curios known as The Museum of Ordinary People.

As they begin to delve into the history of the objects in their care, Alex and Jess unravel heartbreaking and heartwarming stories that span generations and continents.  Together they learn that deep loss and great love are two sides of the same coin and are inspired to keep their dreams alive.

A celebration of the extraordinary in the ordinary, The Museum of Ordinary People is a keenly observed novel on grief, the power of memories, and the importance of connectedness.

Well this was just lovely. A redemption story of ordinary people looking for connection, of desperately needed found family, and an old set of encyclopedias that sets the plot in motion.
