this was a really well done short read, I enjoyed that this was a modern retelling of a Christmas carol. It was great to have Washington and Marilyn Monroe be the ghosts. I had enjoyed what was going on and it worked as a retelling. Chadwick Bicknell does a great job in writing the story and I'm glad I was able to read this.

The donors backed out; we don’t have enough beds. The donors said they don’t like that you support Jason Blackwood.” Jason Blackwood. I dislike everything about him and his politics, but it seems heartless to not donate beds for homeless people because of the owner’s politics. As long as people in need are being helped, does it matter what they believe? Oh God … Jack said stuff like that to me before we broke up."
