Another winner in the Codex Chronicles series, I had enjoyed the first book in the series and was excited about this book. Annie O'Connell does what I was looking for in this type of book and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the story. The characters were what I was hoping for and glad I got to read this again.

"As I made eye contact with Martin, he quickly replaced his jovial personality with an intensity that would cause the bravest man to crumble. Knowing that these witches were out of their wheelhouse, I put my hands up, momentarily stopping the forward progression of the bears."
