Illustrators' Sketchbooks

This was a fun look through sketchbooks of different illustrators, along with some background info about them and their careers.

I was fascinated while reading this book and seeing the sketches of these artists with different styles. It’s a beautiful read containing the artists' names, a short biography, and their illustrations which were all amazing and captivating.

I absolutely cannot wait to get a hard copy of this book for my classroom. This book of artists sketchbooks is so well organized, researched and put together. This will be an amazing classroom tool to give my students a look into the art and thought processes of other artists.

This was an interesting book to read. I enjoyed the sketches and illustrations and the various styles of art. It was also interesting to learn a little bit about each artist.

Illustrators' Sketchbooks gives anyone interested, students, artists, and admirers, a look into various artists' sketchbooks. These looks are accompanied by prose that places the sketchbook in a time and place within the illustrator's life and how that artist used their book to grow their career and start projects. This book would be great for any aspiring artist or student looking to get a glimpse into the creative process of people who are noted to be successful.

What an interesting book! I loved reading a bit about each illustrator and getting glimpses into their sketchbooks and seeing different artistic styles. It was quite remarkable.

I can’t wait to browse this amazing book in person! Definitely one for the shelf of an artist, illustrator or anyone who loves a book full of art!
The artists featured are varied and interesting and I discovered some illustrators new to me as well as some I recognized.

I was mesmerized by this book. I didn’t know most of the artists but I was so amazed at all the different styles and techniques. Some were simple sketches, while others were so extraordinary. This was wonderful and I don’t have enough words to describe how much some moved me.
