Dayal Singh is brilliant, handsome, quirky, and has
Asperger’s. The son of parents trafficked from India to
Africa after WWII, he knows he’s Sikh, African—
and has to stay in school as long as he has a scholar-
ship. He also knows calculus is the evidence of God.
Life happens: he becomes an accidental rockstar
and an inventor who resists having his young family
being assimilated into a Christian ethos. Dayal de-
cides to follow his heart.
“ A propulsive character driven story with high stakes,
exotic locations, and a ‘you are there’ feel to it that
keeps the reader personally invested in the outcome.
From romance to religion to tragedy and redemption,
the story manages to incorporate many topical issues
while addressing timeless themes.”
