Dictionary of Dinosaurs

This is a very cool book. While I'm not sure about the facts because I've never really looked into it, I know my daughter will enjoy this book. I love the photos in the book as well as how the book is put together. The fact sections are also good information.

It is a very informative book on the topic. A great book for dinosaur enthusiasts. Would be nicer if the illustrations were a bit more realistic.

This was easy to read and full of interesting facts about the A-Z of dinosaurs and I loved the illustrations.

I loved the illustrations in this book. Everything was so cohesive in style, but unique in coloring. The featured dinosaurs were a mix of classic favorites and new ones that I hadn’t heard of previously. I learned about a whole bunch of new dinosaurs. I’m looking forward to adding this to my collection when it’s available as a physical copy.

This book was so adorable, I loved everything about it, the illustrations were so well done, they suited the book perfectly, the story was amazing as well. This book was fantastic. My niece absolutely loves dinosaurs so this was a great chance to look at this book before I buy her the hard copy. The facts and illustrations were fantastic. I hope more books are made in this manner as I enjoyed the layout very much.

If you have a little one - I'd say between the ages of 5 and 12 - that love dinosaurs, than this is a must read. Written in encyclopedia style, this is a glossary of all the known and identified dinosaur types from A-Z.

The book opens with a discussion of the different periods and some Dino generic info. It's pretty in depth and a little over the head of the younger readers but it's what, I think, will keep the older ones engaged.

For each Dino, there is a little "chart" with info. It's Latin name, pronunciation, time period, etc. For at least two per page, there is also a little graphic that gives scale - the Dino standing next to a 6 ft human - and a brightly drawn picture of what we assume it looked like. Those were hands down our favorite part. We looked at "how tall the Dino would be next to daddy" since daddy is 6 ft (ish) tall. It gave a great, understandable size reference for my little guy...and for me too.

I would have loved that for each dinosaur, honestly.

We also found Dinosaurs we didn't know existed which was pretty fun. There are a lot more different types than we know of so we learned something fun.

This one just might end up on my son's shelf.

If you have a child interested at all in dinosaurs, this would be a perfect book for them. The art in this book is fantastic, the information is easy to read and understand, there is a great pronunciation guide to help with the names, as well as a little diagram to show you their size in comparison to humans. I loved this, and I know that when I was in the range for this book I would have been all over it.

I would say the target age for this book would not be much younger than 5-6, while not much older than 12-13. For younger children this would be a great book to sit with your child and read to them about whatever dinosaurs they're interested in. For an older child I would advise this as a kind of gift for them to be able to do their own dinosaur research. This would be a great book to go along with any typical "dinosaur" toys, so they can paly with that toy but also look it up and learn more information about the real life animal, as well.

The art of the dinosaurs and the background images in this book is beautiful, and is somehow simultaneously realistic while also simple It really allows you to imagine how they would have looked and lived in real life, while also not being so "realistic" to be boring to look at. This would be a fun book to simply flip through and occasionally stop on a page to read more, rather than simply reading from beginning to end.

I would absolutely purchase this for my child, or a child in my family who loves dinosaurs, as this book would be a great way to nurture that interest. This book is interesting, pretty, and informative enough that I also think it would be a good way to start an interest in dinosaurs for any child.

A beautifully illustrated guide to all things dinosaur! If you have kids like mine, that are obsessed with dinos, this would be a great addition to your library.

I love the pronunciation guide for each dinosaur, and it was cool to see how big they would have been compared to humans.

The timeline in the beginning is a useful tool for seeing when certain dinosaurs would have been around, and the how to use the book guide is a great reference, especially for kids just getting the hang out reading non-fiction and using the different text features.

Must have book for all the dinosaurs lovers out there!!!

The artsyle is amazing. I love the colour combination. I love the infographic. It's easily understandable. It gave us a compact information what we need to know along with the size illustration. Love it
