Description
As the son of a pastor, Matthew McKay has lived a sheltered life. He has little exposure to anything beyond the Boston mega-church where his father works and the local Christian school he attends. However, when his family decides to start a new church in Melbrook, Massachusetts, his entire life is turned upside down. He will now have to deal with small town living and the chaos of public education, yet none of that compares to his biggest challenge: there is something evil in his new home. Nightmares, ghostly visions and strange noises become a regular part of his life. But his parents refuse to accept that there is something dangerous among them, clinging instead to their strict religious teachings. So, Matthew is forced to seek answers on his own with the help of a Wiccan girl who becomes his new best friend--his secret best friend. Together, they will hunt down the truth until Matthew and his family are finally forced to come face-to-face with an evil that has been lurking for over three hundred years, an evil that will lead them into a disturbing crisis-of-faith.
