This book is full of urban legends that are perfect as campfire stories. When Nate moves to a new town and joins a small group of legend chasers, superstition comes to life. Nate appears to be the spirit magnet, and Max, Tyler and Seb excitedly invite him into their clique. Where once the group discussed local urban legends, they now actively pursue the summoning of spirits. Harmless fun takes a dangerous turn when Nate becomes a conduit to the otherworld. This is a spooky story indeed! The urban legends are scary, the friends are a fun and lively group, and their quest for adventure in a small town is authentic. The town's Bloodbath was an exciting element and a great addition to the story. Even seeing things from different points of view, the ending surprised me. This tale is on par with any spooky teen movie! Loved it!

A special thanks to NetGalley for this free electronic ARC. I really enjoyed this book all the way through. This was an easy read with short and entertaining chapters that left you unable to put the book down.

All the main characters were intriguing, as was the unknown reason why Nate and his family were on the run. I can honestly say I had no idea where this book was going but I enjoyed the ride. A lot of the events that occurred were extremely creepy and kept me questioning what was going to happen next. I loved the idea of the different urban legends and could not figured out how they all connected to Nate and his family.

I loved the ending and enjoyed where this story went. I am hoping this is not the end of Nate and his family’s story. Definitely recommend for a spooky read.

This was FANTASTIC! I stumbled upon Vincent Ralph a few months ago in Barnes and Noble and quickly became an instant fan. One House Left was the perfect combination of urban legends meets R.L. Stien. It brought me back to my Goosebump days and I wasn't mad about it! The mystery and creepiness of the urban legend was amazing! Ralph's newest book just solidified why he's an auto buy author for me!

This is a fantastically creepy novel about a cursed boy and a family who can't escape the terrors of their past.

They call it Murder Road. A street in a small town where brutal and unexplained murders happen each year on a certain day tinside different houses. It's an urban legend about the "Hiding Boy" and a curse he placed on the street after the death of his mother.

Nate and his family are running from place to place trying to outrun this curse. They know it's very real and with good reason.

Nate is in high school and reluctantly makes friends with a trio who like to test urban legends.

This is the setup to what is going to be a horrifying narrative. The author has done a great job of setting up all the pieces and saving the most dark twisted secrets until the end.

Part coming of age, part family trauma, and terrifying supernatural encounters will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I highly recommend this book.

This is my fourth book by the author and I have to say, they just keep getting better and better. I like the slow burn of the new kid in town, not really wanting to make friends with anyone. And then slowly letting people in. I could never have guessed where this story was going. It's definitely a bit darker than his prior books.
I feel like I can't say too much without spoiling anything, but if you like YA Horror definitely give this one a try.

This book is scary good. Listed as young adult, but I think all age groups would enjoy it. How do you run away from a nightmare, especially when the entire family has the same one? High schoolers looking to prove/disprove local legends get way more than they bargained for. I received this from Net Galley.

I grew up reading Goosebumps and Fear Street; this author's writing style while uniquely his gives that same nostalgic spooky vibe. This was definitely an unputdownable read for me, I binged "One House Left" in a few hours.

I found the premise of this book intriguing, I really enjoy reading horror novels that are centered around Urban Legends. There were portions of this story that's took me by surprise which I really appreciated, especially towards the end.

This is the type of book you pick up with you want a bingeable YA Horror story that's going to keep you guessing until the end. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Thank you Vincent Ralph, Net Galley and St. Martin's Press- Wednesday Books for providing me with an ARC of this book!

"One House Left" by Vincent Ralph, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This paranormal thriller had me hooked from start to finish, and I found myself staying up until 2:30 am to see how the story would unfold.

As a fan of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series as a child, I was thrilled to discover that this book captured the same eerie atmosphere and sense of unease. The plot twists and turns in unexpected ways, keeping you on the edge of your seat and guessing until the very end.

What I loved most about "One House Left" is how it lingered in my mind long after I finished reading. I couldn't stop thinking about the characters, the plot, and the subtle clues that I might have missed the first time around. The ending, in particular, left me with a "WTF?" moment that has me itching to re-read the book just to see what I might have missed.

If you're a fan of paranormal thrillers or just looking for a book that will keep you up all night, "One House Left" is a must-read. Just be prepared to sleep with the lights on afterwards!

One House Left is an incredible, unputdownable, gut punch of a novel! Any fans of Urban Legends should pick this up as soon as its published!

One House Left follows Nate and his family as they move to a new town, again, in attempts to escape the nightmares and legends that follow them from Murder Road. Nate is attempting to blend into the background and keep his head down, which should be easy in his new high school.

Max and her friends are a part of a secret club that go out looking for urban legends and local lore, but when they befriend the new kid, Nate, they may stumble upon a legend that's best left untested.

One House Left is a story about family ties, friendships, and ghosts from the past. Ralph brought together some of my favorite aspects of the horror genre into one truly amazing novel.
