Betrayed was a book that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I was enthralled from the beginning all the way until the end of the book. I really liked the main characters, Nate and Kinsey, and enjoyed seeing them find their way to one another. I also enjoyed the character, Irene.

Irene Turner comes to Denver and approaches Detective Nate Paxton when she learns that the daughter she believed was stillborn is famous soccer player Kinsey Masters. As Nate begins to investigate, deceptions, betrayals, and danger come quickly to light.

Betrayed is suspenseful, and it kept me guessing. I liked the fast pace, and was happy with the romance between Kinsey and Nate. I look forward to more by this author.

Irene Turner has never forgotten her stillborn daughter; rarely a day goes by when she doesn’t cross Irene’s mind. Now she has discovered that her baby, is now a 28 year old woman and is alive and well. Kinsey Masters was raised by a wealthy, prominent Colorado family. She has never suspected that the people she calls her parents have been keeping a terrible secret from her. Irene asks detective Nate Paxton for help in determining who stole her daughter from her and why. Nate is more than happy to oblige – he is head over heels in love with Kinsey and will do anything to win her over. But the truth, when it comes out, may be more than anyone involved can bear.

A suspenseful story about the unbreakable bond between mother and child

This was a great mystery and was atmospheric enough to keep me going. I didn’t figure it out until it was “time”.
Many thanks to BelleBooks and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
