I love this cute book showing new readers the power of the silent e! This is a concept some of my students have a hard time with. Adorable and educational! I highly recommend this for homes and classrooms for new readers!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced audio copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!

The Mighty Silent e! is a fantastic picture book about the letter e, who is missing from school one day. All of his letter friends realize that they can't make many words without him. This is a great way to introduce the concept of the silent e, and I loved that the had the quiet personality to match his "silent" functions. This is definitely a great book to help kiddos understand spelling!

Thanks to NetGalley, Familius, and Kimberlee Gard for the chance to read and review this advance copy!

This is a very sweet book about silent e. He knows that he was important. He hoped that some day he would come to the rescue. Little e didn’t have much to say at school and the other letters didn’t pay much attention to him. Until one day, letter e wasn’t at school. Miss Capital T asked the letters to join groups to make words. The letters realized they were lost without silent e. Turns out silent e was running late. The letters were so excited to have silent e back.

This is a really cute story. I can’t wait to get it and read it to my first graders, when we are studying silent e!

This book was so cute!!!!

First of all, the lesson is clearly taught and easy for kids to understand.
Second, the illustrations were so so cute!! I loved the pastels and the variety of all of the different letters.
Lastly, my favorite, the idea is truly creative. I mean, letters going to school and class where they make words together? Brilliant! And the fact that these letter characters are in stories to teach kids about aspects of language...it's just perfect!

Well done!

📚✏️📌📚As a preschool teacher, and a mom of four, I am always looking for stories that teach concepts quietly and are fun at the same time! I have these added to my Amazon cart, because these stories are just so cute! I wish I had these when teaching, and for my two oldest kids. They are colorful, the stories are fun and keeps the child wanting to find out what happens, and the importance of each concept is so important. I loved how each one was thorough in explaining the why, how, and when. Yet it was all apart of a story. My kids loved these books! I’m excited to add these to our set of learning books. Thank you @netgalley @kimberlee.gard @sandiesonke for the advance copies of this book. #learningbooks #educationbooks

I read this with my lower elementary school-aged child. We really enjoyed the vibrant colors. The story was cute, and I loved how the friends needed to come together to make words.

This book is simple enough; it doesn’t overload kids with phonics lessons. It’s a great introduction to the “magic e,” or “silent e” (this “e” has several nicknames). Parents and teachers could pivot after reading this book to open more discussions about the “silent e” rules (as appropriate), so it’s a great jumping-off point.

Kids k-3 would be well-suited to read this book.

Thank you to Familius, Kimberlee Gard, and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

This is a fabulous book for phonically geared students! I read to my 7-year-old who has dyslexia and putting context to spelling really helps him learn. I'm excited to find these books!

This is my absolute favorite of this series! I read it to my older child for the first time in 2021 the year after it was published and to this day when working on spelling if he misses an "e" I'll say "THE MIGHTY SILENT...." and he'll remember to add the e. We both loved this book and I now have a second emerging reader that I am using it with. The illustrations are playful, as is the story. It's fun to read and easy to remember.

I loved this book! It was a fantastic way to introduce this phonics concept to my elementary school students! I will definitely be reading the author's other books and adding this one and others to my classroom library. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to checkout this book!
