Description

Brenda Lou Benson, former exotic dancer, runs away from her cheating boyfriend and finds herself standing beside the road in the middle of nowhere, watching flames consume her old car. She counts the money she swiped from her boyfriend’s wallet and finds several drivers’ licenses, all with her boyfriend’s picture.

Police Chief Bob Ballard, in Montana recovering from a stab wound, finds the woman by the road. There’s a snowstorm on the way, so he takes her to the snow-covered cabin down the road, where he’s been staying. Her purse spills out. He sees the licenses and suspects her boyfriend is a criminal. Good thing he brought his gun along. If the man comes looking for Brenda, he might need it. In the meantime, he contacts his office in Winfield, Washington. His people dig a little, then notify the FBI. Brenda’s boyfriend is wanted for the murder of several women. Bob wants to leave, but they’re snowed in.
