Description
Chinese herbalist Chryssy Hua Williams never actually believed in the Hua family curse. But after Break-Up #9, Chryssy stopped laughing. Now she and her aunties run a special healing retreat center for the broken-hearted. After all, there’s nothing a proper cup of herbal tea can’t fix...but Chryssy’s innocent run-in with celebrity cellist and bad boy Vin Chao has everyone brewing about a different kind of tea. So he offers her a deal: they’ll fake-date, he’ll “break” her heart (and increase ticket sales), and in return, he’ll promote her business.
It’s like Chryssy’s whole cursed love life has been leading up to this moment. But all it takes is one kiss—and a whole lot of unexpected chemistry—to land both of them in hot water . . .

As a Chinese person, I LOVE the incorporation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Yin Yang Love Song. Like with all her books, Jessen does such a fantastic job incorporating all the elements of love, self-discovery/healing, and knowledge of the Asian culture.
Yin Yang Love Song marries two passions herbalist and cellist worlds which is contrasting (like Yin and Yang!) and does it well.
If you are a fan of subtle, slow burn, behind closed doors, fake dating love story - this will be the perfect read.
It features a family curse and slight meddling (those are always fun), a little bit of sleuthing, brotherly banter, and the barrier breakdown of one's expectations. My favorite scenes are the ones they showcase late night cooking and tea benefits talks.
I continue to advocate for healthy love awareness and this is a story that is a big giant checkmark for that.
