Description

Artist, story-teller, Ellen Diederich has done it again: Following my prize-winning children's book, "Where's Petunia?" and "Progressive Painting" an inspirational manual for artists and art enthusiasts, my latest publishing venture to be issued by Givinity Press (ISBN 978-0-9728654-6-3), "Samson's Gift" is a children's Christmas story that will be a delight to open any month of the year!

Samson is a lamb who has been orphaned and is adopted by Tedra, the shepherd's daughter. He has an extraordinary coat of wool that he gives up to protect the baby in the manger from the prickly straw. It is the most beautiful Christmas gift ever. "Samson's Gift" is a book about giving and giving for the right reasons. The book also includes a glossary of educational sheep facts.

Advance Praise

Samson's Gift is just beautiful. The artwork is outstanding and the text is written well especially for an early elementary child. It is a picture book that could generate much discussion between teacher/parent and child. It is not only for enjoyment but a great learning tool. Readers could talk about sheep, the story of Christmas, and other stories in the Bible about Samson, Jacob, and Joseph.
