Alonso, the eldest son of a wealthy nobleman in sixteenth century Spain,is inadvertently caught in a compromising position with a scullery maid. The illegitimate Raul, younger and smaller than Alonso, makes a futile effort to avoid discovery only to be obliged to recreate what he saw Alonso do with the lass. That is only the beginning of Alonso’s mistreatment of Raul and those he cares for.

Stefano, an attractive manservant for whom Raul develops an immediate fondness, is harshly punished by Alonso for a minor mishap then expelled from the hacienda outside of Madrid. Heartsick over the loss of Stefano, Raul consoles himself with the one-sided carnal attentions of Pedro, a laborer in the stables who, although Raul’s age, is hirsute and brawny. When Alonso seeks sexual gratification outside an unsatisfactory marriage, he blackmails Raul for entrée with Pedro. Alonso’s jealous wife succeeds in having Pedro banished also.

Bereft over the loss of Stefano and Pedro and seeking to escape Alonso’s torments, Raul obtains a transfer to the port of Cadiz to work in a family-owned warehouse. This first of five stories in the series Spanish Seductions concludes with Raul searching for Stefano in order to resume their curtailed affair.
