She's so much like me. I'd rather read than do anything else (except eat). I wish I was a librarian.

I like a book where the man gets rejected.

Wish I had dreams like that...

Poor Trey!

I really relate to Troy's wanting to preserve something for future generations. I love history.

That is the worst, meanest judge ever. He has depression, you idiot!

Also, her parents sound delightful. NOT.

So, does the Judge get his loan after all? I hope not.

Loved this book from the start and didn't put it down once! The characters were relatable and felt like old friends. I enjoyed reading a romance that was about finding true love without all the sex scenes. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This was a cute short story centered around Valentine's Day. The story takes place in Marietta, Montana, a nice small town. I loved this story because it's part of what I have come to dub the Marietta Series; various talented authors write stories that have characters intertwining with each other in the town of Marietta. It's really great because when you read a story, you always go "I wonder what happened to ..." and because the stories continue, you get some questions answered.

Anyway, Taylor is the new librarian in Marietta, she's a quiet, responsible person trying to find her place in the world.

Troy is Marietta's golden boy; he's smart, talented and according to the whole town the best looking guy ever.

When he needs a date to the Valentine's Day ball, his friend Jane decides to play matchmaker and set him up with the new librarian. Taylor at first seems determined to keep him at arms length and Troy is intrigued.

The story almost has a Cinderella like feel, minus the wicked step-mother and sisters. I only wish it had been longer and I do hope to see more of Taylor and Troy in other Marietta titles.

Sweet Sexy Small Town Romance. Jane Porter takes us to Montana and pairs us with the Sheenans again in this lovely sweet romance. Though Beauty's Kiss is the second in the series, it reads well as a stand alone (I for one intend to seek out the series). Ms. Porter has created a very engaging cast of characters (including the town) and I felt very comfortable spending time there. The story was well plotted, a fast read, and had an extremely strong happily ever after.

What do you get when a bespectacled librarian is set up with Mr. Most Eligible Bachelor for a Valentine's Ball, with in a little historical WHIMSICALLINESS? A million smiles romance!

Taylor Harris has been in Marietta, Montana for 6 months & is the newest librarian, glasses & all. Troy Sheenan lives in San Francisco, where he is a mover & shaker of the technology world, but he is a down home boy at heart. This 2 meet after a snowstorm car wreck (no one was hurt in the writing of this tale), had a lost cell recover, a very warm & fluffy pig robe, a friend playing match make & a Cinderella moment at the Valentine's Ball. Can a big city man, with a small town boy inside, really love a bespectacled librarian? Will Taylor let her past hold her back from finding love? What Sheenan male is next to fall?

This book had such a small town heart written throughout its pages & also my 1st completed Jane Porter romance. I love how Ms. Porter had a little historical magic in this tale, with a true Wallflower at heart librarian & a wealth Duke in her hero. Both Taylor & Troy were creations of Ms. Porter's heart & soul & their warmth flowed into me & couldn't help but read it with a goofy smile on my face. I am a die hard historical romance fan, so this book smacked me upside my head & I embraced this romance with its Regency flair. I accept STEAMINESS in my reads, but Ms. Porter choose just precious kisses with Cinderella magic. I can't believe I am typing this, but baring it all would of taken away from this sweet romance. My score for this sweet, charming & small town flavor romance is 4 fingers up & 6 toes & I highly recommend it to all my romance peeps, who love a truly historical inspired contemporary that makes you embrace your inner Carebear!

Beauty’s kiss is the second volume of Taming of the Sheenans series. There are 4 brothers in the Shennan family. The first volume was published in November 2013 and is titled Christmas at Copper Mountain (this novel is also a part of a multi-author series).
I can’t wait to read Home to me and The kidnapped Christmas bride. We haven’t got a definitive date because I feel that Jane is a little late in her schedule.

I have been known Jane Porter for years but it has been a long time since my last reading.

I liked this novella a lot. At first, it was not easy. The heroine, Taylor Harris, was too withdrawn and she was only interested in books even though she isn’t 30-years-old yet. Moreover, we know that Taylor’s best friend has a big crush on our future hero. I don’t like that in a romance novel. I was happy because this problem is quickly resolved. As for Taylor, we understand when we read the book that she lacks self-confidence and her brother depends on her, that’s why she avoids any relationship with guys.
When the story begins, Taylor announces to her friend that she won’t go to the Valentine Ball, organized by the latter. That’s when Taylor learns that she is Troy Sheenan’s date. When they meet, she tells him her decision. However, our hero is intrigued by this woman who doesn’t want to succumb to his charms. And despite themselves, Taylor and Troy will spend time together, learn to know and trust each other, and tell their secrets. What will evolve into deep feelings.
I loved the way the author makes the feelings evolve between the characters. And when we close the book, we believe in their love. Moreover, the story ends with a HEA like I love them.

The secondary characters are important, especially Troy’s brothers. When I finished Beauty’s kiss, I just wanted to read the first volume and I can’t wait for the sequels, especially the one with Troy’s twin.

There aren’t any hot scenes nor tension between our main characters. So be aware of that if you are interested. I spent a good time reading the book and I recommend it.

"Well. we both know that most boys are fools. Let's just say I personally think book girls should rule the world." - Troy Sheenan

Troy Sheenan a technology tycoon and Marietta's Most Eligible Bachelor and Taylor Harris- Marietta, Montana's librarian and total opposites as night and day. You know what they say about opposites attract. Troy feels the spark with there first kiss, but decides to play Jane's game. Troy has also returned to Marietta due to his father's illness and he has heavily invested into The Graff Hotel. He has restored The Graff Hotel because his mother was the one that showed and made him understand "that beauty was transformative, and there was value in beautiful things.'
"Sometimes we do things because we think it's the right thing to do even when everyone else tells you you're wrong."

Taylor continues to ignore Troy. Bemused, Troy's little mouse has rejected him. She does not want to attend the ball with him.
This is an easy read. Characters have there own personal dilemmas to tend to. Well written, story easily flows. Main characters are appealing, alluring, and captivating.
