A Note From the Publisher

Kim Boykin was bitten by the romance bug early on, reading Love Story under the covers with a flashlight way before she was old enough for such things. A tomboy, she was raised in her South Carolina home with two girly sisters and great parents. She had a happy, boring childhood, which sucks if you’re a writer because you have to create your own crazy. PLUS after you’re published and you’re being interviewed, it’s very appealing when the author actually lived in Crazy Town or somewhere in the general vicinity.

Almost everything she learned about writing, she learned from her grandpa, an oral storyteller, who was a master teacher of pacing and sensory detail. He held court under an old mimosa tree on the family farm, and people used to come from all around to hear him tell stories about growing up in rural Georgia and share his unique take on the world.

As a stay-at-home mom, Kim started writing, grabbing snip-its of time in the car rider line or on the bleachers at swim practice. After her kids left the nest, she started submitting her work, sold her first novel at 53, and has been writing like crazy ever since.

Thanks to the lessons she learned under that mimosa tree, her books are well reviewed and, according to RT Book Reviews, feel like they’re being told across a kitchen table. She is the author of The Wisdom of Hair from Berkley, Steal Me, Cowboy and Sweet Home Carolina from Tule, and Palmetto Moon, also from Berkley 8/5/14. While her heart is always in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, she lives in the other Carolina in Charlotte.

Looking for a fun, flirty read with hints of Southern sass? Melissa is a matchmaker, a family gift, who stands firm in the matches that she sees before her. Shane pushes Melissa to question her instincts for a chance at a true match and the story that unfolds is great.

Melissa Bliss may have a day job to pay the bills, but her passion is her ability to match couples together for love and marriage. She’s already matched 49 couples successfully, one more will make an even 50. And she knows just the guy and girl. Shane and that beautiful new brunette in town will be perfect together. But Shane has other ideas, he knows Melissa is the only woman for him. Now he has to convince her of that.
The beautiful Isle of Palms is a gorgeous backdrop for this sweet and charming romance.

Melissa has a gift to match couple up and is working on her 50th couple with shane, but shane feels that's wrong. He's known her for a while and feels shes the one. Even though she has feel for him she cant let her sense go when they say the new women in town is his match. Can shane make her believe they should be together and can she let what she knows go to have love for herself?

This is the story of Melissa and Shane. Melissa is a realtor by day and matchmaker by night (her true passion) and Shane is her next match waiting ti happen. What Melissa doesn't realize is that Shane is the perfect match for HER! And Shane is going to pull all the stops to convince her!
The story is also full of secondary characters that add to the great read and hopefully some will appear in future books of this series ....
The story is so well written and fun to read that once you pick it up, you will not put it down. That's how I read it! The romance and friendship was quite magical and had just enough southern charm to be on the fantastic side LOL I loved it overall!

Great love story - Melissa has a gift of matching people with their mates but has no luck in her own life. She is drawn to two different men and questions her gift and whether it will help her to find her soul mate. She loves one of them and thinks she could live the rest of her life with him however her gift for for seeing the sparks fly when two people are meant to be together just happens to this guy when he is with his ex-girl friend. This story was sweet and romantic without graphic sex scenes. I would feel comfortable recommending this book to any of my friends reading romance novels. I would enjoy reading more by Ms. Kim Boykin.

Melissa has a gift, she's a matchmaker and comes from a long line of female matchmakers. She believes that if she finds her own match, she'll lose her gift of matchmaking. So even though sparks fly when she touches or is near Shane, she believes it is because of how wrong they are for each other. Shane knows that Melissa is his perfect match but he has to prove it to her. She may think he belongs with someone else, but even her matchmaking skills are telling her otherwise.

I think this story is cute. It is a nice quick read that has potential to become a series based on Melissa's ability to make matches. I have not read any of the other books in the Island Bliss series but it would be interesting to see which character's Kim Boykin expands on. I think this specific story gave you two in one. I found the couple that Melissa is in the middle of helping fix was also well written. It did not take away from the main story, it acted almost like filler.

A light story about a businesswoman/matchmaker trying to avoid LOVE until it hits her right in the heart. Cute story, light read, I finished in less than 4 hours.
