This Christmas by Jeannie Moon is one of four new novella's from Tule Publishing's Christmas in New York series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but from what I understand, "This Christmas" provides the prologue to the series and "Goodness and Light" provides the epilogue. Since discovering Tule Publishing, I have been extremely excited about their books and their authors are some of the best that I have had the privilege to read.

This story is about Sabrina Gervais, a physical therapist and single mom to Charlie, her nine-year-old daughter. When Sabrina was nineteen, she fell in love with professional hockey player Jake Killen, and as a result of their love, Charlie was brought into this world. Jake never knew about Charlie, because Sabrina chose not to tell him after he broke her heart. Charlie is loved and well taken care for by Sabrina and Sabrina's parents. Predictably, Jake returns to New York and learns that he has a daughter. Of course he is angry, but his love for Sabrina and now Charlie, causes him to do whatever is necessary for them to become a family.

As in all of the books that I have read by Ms. Moon, the prologue is one of the best parts, because it is both exciting and captivating, which sets the tone for the rest of the story. As a result, I was instantly drawn into the lives of the characters that reside or spend some time in the small town of Holly Point, New York. I immediately connected with both Sabrina and Jake and was constantly cheering for them to rekindle the love they once shared. Overall, this is a fast-paced enjoyable read that will put you in the holiday spirit.

Yesterday I sat down to start this book and never stopped until I had finished! I'm a huge fan of the Second Chance at Love trope and Jeannie delivers on all points with this book. She tugs at your heart as you learn the story of Jake and Bree. You want to keep reading, hoping that yes these two can work through the obstacles in front of them. There's never a doubt that they still love each other, you feel that from the start. Then there is sweet Charlie aka Charlotte. Most of all you are rooting for Charlie! I love holiday romances and this was a great way to start The New York Holiday series!

I love this series of books and getting to know the characters on a deeper level, while they experience the magic of Christmas.
Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

This is a cute cuddle of a story about broken hearts and emotional fears, with a cute father-daughter relationship in the middle. The pacing is steady, allowing things to develop without too much of a rush, and I was worried that the ending might be too abrupt, but mostly it works.

Sweet and enjoyable, this is an easy winter read with a hint of Christmas. A lovely way to spend a cold night.

Four writer friends, love and laughter, families and festivities, Christmas and miracles……a magical Christmas In New York!!!!

Christmas In New York series is the compilation of four writer friends and their wonderful stories of lost love, second chances, friendships and relationships and the magical wishes of Christmas that gives four friends a future of love, trust and understanding.
This Christmas (Jake and Sabrina) – Jeannie Moon All I Want For Christmas (Cassandra and Sean) – Jennifer Gracen A Light In The Window (Jade and Ben) – Jolsye Barnett Goodness And Light (Elena and Lucas) – Patty Blount

Love reading Jeannie Moon!!!! And “This Christmas” takes you right into the hearts of Sabrina and Jake.

Sabrina Gervais is happy and content with her life as a single mother to Charlie and her professional career is at its peak as a sought after Physical Therapist. Circumstances bring her one and only love Jake Killen back into her life and she is left with a vortex of feelings of pain and hope.

Hockey pro Jake Killen comes back to Holly Point to recuperate from a sports injury and fate brings him face to face with a daughter he doesn’t know of and Sabrina, his life’s one regret for having lost her. But now they face off in the winter chills of Christmas and Jake wants his questions answered.

Both Jake and Sabrina are in love with each other, yet the past pain and choices made seem to surround them in a coat of insecurity and mistrust. This is a charming love story of two beautiful people who, so in love with each other that being together scares them as much. And all Charlie wishes for Christmas is to have her parents back together and become a family.

Jeannie Moon did an enchanting job of bringing Jake and Sabrina and a love that was lost a decade ago.

Fantastic story and one for the top of the holiday read list. Jake and Sabrina had a true and intense young love but when an old girlfriend claims to be pregnant, Jake leaves Sabrina thinking he is doing the right thing. But when the right thing turns out to be the biggest mistake of your life you do whatever is necessary to fix things. This is a beautiful tale of lost and rediscovered love. I highly recommend this book!

Sabrina (Bree to her family and friends) as a teenager never imagined that she would fall in love with Jake Gillen. He is older than her (25), her brother’s friend and recently broke it off with his fiancé Sydney. But during that wonderful summer she did and they both thought that it would work out in the end. Then everything came crashing down and a secret was created. A secret that would not be revealed for 10 years when Jake came back to Holly Point, divorced and trying to recover from an injury that could put a halt to his hockey career.

Bree did not want Jake to know she was pregnant at the time, so she held it close to her broken heart. She also kept the father’s name a secret from a lot of those around her so they would not be quick to judge. Being a single parent is hard but Bree did it, going to school becoming a physical therapist and making sure Charlie had everything she needed.

When Jake returned to Holly Point he was already dealing with a lot on his plate. Finding out the child that he thought was his, the one he had taken responsibility for, giving up Bree, was really not his at all. He was also injured and that could mean the end to his career. What he found out next almost blew him away. That the best player on one of the local teams was his daughter Charlie (Charlotte). With everything in front of him, Jake now realized that Bree was his true love, so that meant he had to win back her heart. Making her see that together they were a family and would be forever if she gave him the chance.

This Christmas was a beautiful and heartwarming read, loved it.

Once I started This Christmas I couldn't put it down.

Loved Sabrina and Jake, they were both passionate and intense people. You felt their pain at being separated all these years, I cried, I laughed and I swooned. Jake was such a sweetheart with his little girl.
There were times I wanted to knock them both on the head but they did manage to get it together and find forgiveness and peace with the past to get their HEA =)

If you're looking for a good feel Christmas book then I highly recommend This Christmas by Jeannie Moon.

Thank you Netgalley and Tule Publishing for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Jeannie Moon has written the most wonderful Christmas book on second chance love, this is one book that you do not want to miss this holiday season.
Bree and Jake had a short relationship, that resulted in a pregnancy. Jake never knew, he now returns to Holly Point 10 years later to learn that he has a little girl by the name of Charlie. There is still a strong chemistry between Sabrina and Jake, but Sabrina is so afraid of opening her heart again. Charlie won my heart over immediately, all she has wished for every Christmas is for her father, that wish went into the wish box every year. Will this Christmas be magical for Sabrina, Jake and Charlie.
This is the first book of Christmas in New York of four friends that grew up together, I highly recommend reading them all.

I loved this book! My review is on the blog and I am posting my review on Amazon :)

This is something I haven’t done before. I’m saying the same thing at the beginning of each of this series reviews. I highly recommend reading all four of the stories. None is too long, but all fit together wonderfully.

This Christmas is part of the Christmas in New York series. In the past I have enjoyed the Montana series from this publisher. Then found the Southern series, which is also very good. However, I love, love, love this series.

I would be hard press to say which of these novellas is my favorite. The entire series is a true delight. Five girlfriends who mothers were best friends so they feel more like family than friends. While each has a different author, all are well written.

This Christmas concerns Sabrina the single mother of the group and hockey player Jake Killen. The story, like all the ones in this series, is a solid and well-written contemporary romance. Besides it being Sabrina and Jake’s story, it is as much a wishful mischievous 10-year-old’s, by the name of Charlie (Charlotte when she is in trouble), story too. The title comes from one of her wishes. What a wonderful creation this young character is. My only wish is that there had been an epilogue telling us a bit more after the proposal. Then of course, I hope when Charlie grows up she will have her own story. I’m sure Jake will be just as protective and mistrusting as Sabrina father.

I had read Jeannie Moon’s books before so I knew it would be a great read. It certainly is that!

This title is so full of Christmas magic, it took my breath away!
A fantastic, romantic story about first love, second chances, and yes, Christmas magic.
The romance is sensual, the connection between Sabrina and Jake is tangible and miraculous. Even with all the years, hurt, and damage done to their relationship in the past between them, they manage to find the affection and fondness towards each other again. And it is beautiful.
But Charlie, their daughter, takes the cake. Part of the story is told from her point of view, and it is just so touching to read the thoughts, hopes, wishes, and faith of the nine year old, that I recommend to get your tissues close by. And to see Sabrina and Jake work so hard to get past all the animosity, to be such awesome, loving, caring parents, is just amazing. So like I said, a story full of incredible Christmas magic

This was my favorite of the Christmas in New York series. I really loved all the characters in this one and felt it had a lot more interaction between the characters in the other books in this book. The other books I kinda just felt more focused on the main character.

This Christmas is book #1 in the Christmas in New York series.

This Christmas is a second chance in love story about Sabrina Gervais and Jake Killen.

Sabrina and Jake dated 10 years ago but when Jake found out his ex fiancee is pregnant he broke up with Sabrina in order to marry his ex fiancee.

A short time after Jake left Sabrina she found out she's pregnant and she decided to have the baby but not to tell Jake about her pregnancy.

10 years later Jake is back in New York and he and Sabrina see each other again and Jake is shocked to learn that he has a 9 year old daughter name Charlotte.

Sabrina never really got over her feeling towards Jake and when he come back into her life she's very confused and doesn't know if she should risk her heart again and be involved with Jake romantically.

I enjoyed reading This Christmas and seeing how Jake and Charlotte are bonding and getting to know one another on a deeper level. I also enjoyed reading about Sabrina and Jake and how they both try to deal with their past mistakes and to move forward .

This Christmas is a great holiday novella that I really enjoyed reading. It was full of emotions, holiday spirit and it was a fun and fast book to read.

This Christmas is the first novel in the Christmas in New York series - Four romantic festive novellas focussing around four lifelong friends. I've read the series a little back to front - I read the last novella first, but in fairness, whilst it contained an epilogue and this a prologue, they could be read as you wish.

A lovely story of second chance love, single mum Sabrina is doing a fabulous job of bringing up her nine year old daughter Charlie. But she has never gotten over her first and only love, her older brother's best friend Jake. The man who broke her heart and unbeknownst to him left her with a part of him forever and when Jake returns to Holly Point he gets the surprise of his life.

Sweet and romantic, I loved Bree and Jake together and their interaction with Charlie was lovely. You can't not want this family to find their HEA and Jeannie Moon has brought us a wonderful opener to the series.

"This Christmas" by Jeannie Moon is the first book in the multi-authored "Christmas in New York" series. The series tells the tale of a group of girlfriends and the men they fall in love with. I read all four books in one day. Once I started with book one, I just couldn't help myself and had to find out what was in store for the other friends. ^.^ While each book can be read as a standalone, I do recommend that they be read in order because the stories are loosely connected.

When she was just nineteen, Sabrina "Bree" Gervais found out she was pregnant. She swore her best friends to secrecy as to the identity of the baby's father and she refused to let him know about the pregnancy, especially after he decided to end things with her when his former fianceé informed him she was having their baby. With a very broken heart and her dreams put on hold, she went on with her life and created the best possible home for herself and her child. And then, ten years later, the only man she ever loved returns.

Jake Killen may have a successful career as a professional hockey player but he's very much aware that his personal life hasn't been anything to crow about. While recuperating from an injury, he returns to New York and makes a startling discovery that has him reeling with various emotions. He's never loved anyone as much as he did Bree and leaving her was the most difficult thing he had ever had to do. But now, finding out that he has a child, he can't help but feel angry and resentful at having lost nearly a decade of time he could have spent with his daughter Charlie.

Bree and Jake are forced to confront quite a number of issues. The fact that their love affair wasn't something that was known to those closest to Bree and the manner in which that affair ended makes Jake look like the bad guy, what with the age difference (he was twenty-five and she was eighteen) and some thinking he took advantage of Bree. Then there's Bree keeping Charlie a secret and her believing that Jake never wanted her, especially since he didn't even return to her after his divorce from his wife. These two appear to have the odds stacked against them, trust being just one of the greatest of their issues.

This was a sweet second chance romance about two people that seemed to truly have been in love the first time around, only to have a terrible lie drive them apart. Their second time around, you could see that they had never forgotten each other, even though ten years had already passed. I liked that things weren't so simple and easily solved when it came to their issues because you could see that they both had to work for redemption for the mistakes they both made. The dynamic between Jake and Bree was great and the addition of Charlie made them a family unit worth cheering for.

"This Christmas" is a quick read and you'll probably be able to get through it in an hour or so. I enjoyed the story and the characters and couldn't help but smile by the time I got to the end. It took this one book to get me hooked to the rest of the series so I hope my fellow bookaholics will like it as much as I did. With Christmas a little over a month away, the "Christmas in New York" books are perfect for some holiday reading. I'm giving this first book 4.5 stars out of five. ♥

Ok so right off the start the book gets good. The storyline is so cute and I just love Charlie. I can't say enough about the bond between Charlie and Bree. I love how it keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you wanting more with every turn on the page. This book will not disappoint. You can not go wrong reading this sweet christmas story with a wishing box and all.

This is the first book in the Christmas in New York series about the daughters of four sorority sisters. All grown up now, these close-knit daughters have forged lifelong friendships filled with unconditional love and fierce loyalty. In each book, one of their own comes face-to-face with someone special from their past. With the support and love for each other, these women find the courage in themselves to heal that which was broken and claim their happiness this Christmas.

THIS CHRISTMAS starts off with a prologue introducing us to Cass, Kara, Jade, Elena and Sabrina. Sabrina finds out she’s pregnant but the father is her brother’s best friend and hockey teammate, Jake. He’s also a man who recently dumped her, went back to his ex-fiancé, is now currently married and traded to a hockey team in Canada. Sabrina is heart-broken and swears all the women to secrecy about who fathered her baby. Sabrina decides not to tell Jake because she doesn’t want to be rejected a second time.

I was a little worried after I read the prologue. I thought this Jake guy was a flake and needed to be tarred, feathered and hung from the nearest tree. Come to find out there are two sides to every story and Sabrina finds that out. The story jumps 10 years later to the present and Jake is single and back in town. He meets Charlie—Sabrina’s daughter—and immediately starts doing the math in his head. He’s angry that Sabrina didn’t tell him he’s a father, but angrier at himself because he’s the one who left the woman he loved.

I really loved the story. Second chance romances are my favorite trope and when I saw that all the books had that, I jumped at the chance to read them! I thought that showing us glimpses of Sabrina and Jake’s past relationship was showcased beautifully through recollections rather than flashbacks. I really liked how we got both points of view and also a few scenes with Charlie’s point of view. I thought the story was engaging and entertaining and I highly recommend this heartfelt Christmas read.

I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own.

This Christmas made me cry. It is a gorgeous story of second chances for Bree and Jake, reunited ten years after they first fell in love. Unbeknownst to Jake, Bree was pregnant with their daughter Charlie when he left her to marry his former fiancée Sydney, who has told him she's pregnant. Ten years later, divorced and back in town Jake gets the surprise of his life when he comes face to face with his little girl for the first time. Jake and Bree both want the best for Charlie but there are a lot of trust issues for Bree to overcome if she's yo accept him back into her life. I loved Bree and Jake. Both came across as warm, caring, intelligent characters. I loved the setting and snow always asks me think of sparkly, shiny, pretty things. This book is well written and a sweet story. Enjoy! I did.

Sabrina Gervais fell in love at 17 to her brother's best friend Jake Killan. Though he was 8 years her senior, she felt that Jake was it for her. What she didn't expect is for him to break up with her and return to his ex-girlfriend. A couple weeks of months later she finds out that she's pregnant with his child. Deciding this is a secret she will never tell to her family and Jake, she realizes that all the dreams of medical school are now on hold. Fast forward 10 years, she has a wonderful daughter and a thriving business as a sport physical therapist. When Jake comes back to Long Island, to recover from a hockey injury, he runs into Sabrina's brother and this dynamic 10 year old girl that plays in a little league hockey team. Sabrina never thought she would see Jake again. The chemistry between Bree and Jake is so electrifying, you can actually feel it when you read it. This is a beautiful Christmas story about leaving bad memories of the past and moving forward with wonderou possibilities. I loved this book and highly recommend it

What I liked about the read....

This was a beautiful told romantic novella that is the first in this series. A love affair that had been broken up and from it a child was conceived. This situation had been kept a secret until ten years later after Jake comes back into play and he learns of the daughter, Charlie. Will these two Bree and Jake be able to reunite after all this passing time? Even though Bree still loved Jake will she be able to trust him and accept him back into her life? This will definitely be one of those stories of second chances. This author really gives the reader a very good sweet story of this second chance at love along with a beautiful description and setting of the snow, likable characters in this Christmas story. "This Christmas" is one of second chances in learning to forgive, rekindling of lost loves and then building a relationship with a daughter. I thought this was well written by this author and would definitely recommend it to you.

Very good story of love lost because of circumstances beyond ones doing. Jake & Sabrina had a relationship 10 yrs ago & it ended when Jake goes back to his pregnant ex-fiancée. Now divorced for a few hrs Jake comes back to New York to play hockey where he once found & lost the love of his life. He runs into Sabrina again when he helps out at a hockey clinic. Noticing an exceptional player he thinks it's his friends son but comes to find out it's a girl & that she belongs to Sabrina his friends sister & former girlfriend. Doing the math he also realizes that she's his daughter too. Now Jake has to make up for the lost yrs he wasn't with them & prove to Sabrina that he still loves her. Can he make this work? Can Sabrina believe in them again? Looking forward to the next book in this series..

Ten years ago Jake left Bree heartbroken and alone. With her best friends, sisters really, supporting her, she goes on with her life, never forgetting about Jake. She never told him she was pregnant. Now he's back and has put two and two together. He has a daughter. With the woman he has never stopped loving.

Seeing Jake again is like a knife to Bree's heart. Shattered when he left her, she picked up the pieces for their daughter but hasn't been able to give her heart to anyone else. She knows they will have to be there for Charlie, their daughter, but she won't go through that heartbreak again.
But as Christmas approaches, Charlie's wish for this Christmas is for her mom and dad to be happy. Can Bree overcome her fear of being left again to go after what her heart wants? Will Jake be able to show Bree that he is going to be there for them forever?

"This Christmas" by Jeannie Moon - this is the story of Sabrina and Jake. I really wanted to like this one more but I found that Sabrina was a bit caught up with how Jake was only going to hurt her again and repeated that over and over that they didn't have a chance. She was a bit whiney and, to me, was still the 18 year old girl, instead of a more mature woman that was a mom with a career. Jake, while sexy and hot and sweet, was almost too forgiving. He had every right to be furious with her and yet, we never saw much of that anger. He just wanted to jump right back to where they were 10 years before. I really liked Charlie and loved how she and Jake connected. The lighthouse symbolism was wonderful - I love lighthouses and enjoyed seeing the significance in this story.

Pro hockey player left Bree ten years ago to marry a woman who was pregnant with his child, breaking her heart. Bree later found out she was pregnant with his child as well. Ten years later, Jake finds his way back to Bree only to discover he has a child, Charlie. The other woman had lied to him, so he was divorced and single. Jake and Bree were both hurt by each other. In this story, they have to sort through their past and all of their feelings.

I really enjoyed this novella. Bree, Jake, and Charlie are all great characters. The story was heartfelt and real. This is a great Christmas read!

3.5 - "I wished for you," ... "Every year at Christmas." Stars!

Jeannie Moon offers the reader an absolutely lovely start to the Christmas in New York series of novellas.

Sometimes a storyline, its characters and the authors writing style, just click with the reader, and I absolutely adored Sabrina and her daughter Charlie. The return of Jake Killen to her life after a decade, offers them both a few surprises, and although the storyline doesn't really offer up anything new, I still enjoyed every minute of this novella!

"I won't let you fall."

I loved Jake, the guy has a heart of gold, and though he has missed out on ten years of his daughters life through no fault of his own, he goes out of his way to make sure that he doesn't miss anymore. His attempts to prove to Bree that he wants to be a full-time father, and have a full-time family with her are sweet, sexy and heart felt.

"I don't want to lose anymore time."

Looking forward to reading the rest of the novellas in this series!

I need to confess I did something I hadn't done since way back when I first discovered the addictiveness of reading. I gorged on this book. Meaning that when I saw I had little time and no guarantee that I would have another reading break for an undetermined period and was unwilling to leave these characters and story to rest, at the 7% mark I started skimming over the book, reading bits and pieces of it until I got a partial picture and was somewhat appeased.

Don't judge, I know I shouldn't have done it. I wasn't even going to start this book for few days because I needed a break from reading. But once I picked this up I couldn't put it down.

Now that I have fully read this book, I feel free to say I loved it and I have a lot of things to say about it. Let’s see if I don’t mess up my original pre-review.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed reading this book. It was sweet, provocatively steamy, and absolutely swoony. It gave me some sad tears but mostly huge smiles. It was truly a celebration of the best emotions overcoming the sad, painful and ugly ones.

Let me start by saying this series was a holiday treat! All four books in the Christmas in New York series published by Tule Publishing thru their Holiday Books community of writers were fantastic. Each was unique yet held the same feel good holiday heart-warmth you want to read this time of year!
This Christmas is a story of second chances and redemption, family, friends and love! Basically, Jack comes home to New York to find he has a daughter with the woman he let go almost 10 years before but is now determined to have her back! His attempts to prove to Sabrina that he wants to be a full-time father, and have a full-time family with her are sweet, sexy and heart felt! The story is not exactly anything you haven't probably read a million times before, but it is just really well written and both Jake and Sabrina and little Charlie are just AWESOME!
Highly recommend!

This Christmas was a beautifully told romance and a wonderful start to the Christmas in New York series.

Sabrina was nineteen when she fell in love with Jake Killen, professional hockey player, and as a result of their relationship their daughter was conceived. Jake never knew about Charlie, his daughter, because Sabrina chose not to tell him after he broke her heart.

Jake has loved Sabrina since he met her 10 years ago, but he lost her when he leaves her to return to his ex-fiancée who tells him she's pregnant with his child. Now Jake is back in New York to play hockey again, but he is now divorced after learning the child he thought was his wasn't. Jake is angry when he finds out about Charlie being his daughter and that Sabrina didn’t tell him he was a father.

This Christmas is about second chances at love and about learning how to deal with lost love, forgiveness, and rekindling the love that never died between them. We also get to see Charlie build a relationship with Jake, her dad that she has always dreamed about meeting, and all Charlie wants is for her parents to be together again.

The books in tho series are about a central group of characters, but each is written by a different author. It was a nice way to be introduced to different authors, and I liked that each and a slightly different style. The characters were strong, and the story lines were interesting

Summary (goodreads): Single mother Sabrina Gervais has built a happy life with her daughter Charlotte in their eastern Long Island hometown of Holly Point. Having Charlie meant putting some of her own dreams on hold, but Sabrina is content to surround herself with family and friends, safe from the realities of the outside world. She had enough of that when the man she loved broke her heart.

Jake Killen’s career in professional hockey has brought him many rewards on and off the ice, but returning to New York brings back a flood of memories. When he sees Sabrina again, he discovers that he didn’t just away from her ten years ago, but also from their unborn child.

Struggling with anger, guilt, and chemistry that’s off the chart, Sabrina and Jake wonder if they can find love again and, this Christmas, make all their wishes come true.

My Thoughts: Secret baby plots are one of my catnips, so when I read the summary for this story I was all over it. I was surprised to realize that this is actually part of an anthology of sorts, which tells the story of four friends around Christmas, that was interesting (particularly as each story was written by a different author) but since I read it as a stand alone I can say that I both perfectly understood the story... and I still felt like I was missing something of context.

But none the less, This Christmas was a sweet story. Sabrina and Jake both made many mistakes when they were young but when they met again, they don't beat around the bush. Jack can quickly tell that Sabrina's daughter is his and wants in immediately, and Sabrina doesn't deny it or him.

They dealt with the situation pretty maturely, I thought, and I appreciated that. The bonding between Charlotte and Jake was a bit too quick for my taste, but at the same time this is a novella and that was a bit to be expected.

A part of the best friend's Christmas set featuring Bree, Jade, Cassie, Kara and Elena, This Christmas focuses on Bree. This was one of my favorites in this series, but I'm a sucker for feisty kids. Bree's daughter wants to know who her dad is, but the problem is Bree never told him she was pregnant. And that's where the problems begin, but not where they end. This is one of those life lesson stories that smacks you in the face, reminding us that even when you have the best intentions sometimes you still make the wrong choice. A great story any time of year, "This Christmas" will sit on my virtual shelf as a warm reminder of the reasons for the Christmas season. Family, love, and life. Really enjoyed this read.

I've read several books in this series. This book is about Sabrina and Jake. Sabrina is a single mother because Jake was afraid of his feeling for Sabrina 10 years ago. Now they are back in the same town and Jake discovers his daughter. He has some serious fence mending to do so they can become a family.

This is one of those Christmas Miracles / Second Chance Romances type story. Ten years ago Sabrina "Bree" Gervais fell in love with Jake Killen, but a lie tore them apart and forced Jake to choose between love and doing the honorable thing.

Now, Bree leads a happy and content life with her daughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Gervais. Jake has no idea that when he walked out on Bree, he not only walked out on her, but on his unborn daughter. A fateful encounter will have him seeking a second chance and a better life.

The story was a sweet, lightweight, romance that center around the Christmas time and a happily ever-after. This story is book one in the Christmas in New York Series; which follows four life-long friends as they find true love or second chance loves in the most magical time of the year.

I really enjoyed this Christmas story! I really connected with both Sabrina and Jake, and I loved watching them basically fall in love again. This was a super fast, super cute read, and I would definitely recommend it.

Nice Holiday Read
This is a nice fast-paced holiday read. The best part of the whole story is the daughter’s character. She is engaging and loveable and happily gets what she asks for “this Christmas”.
