Set in the fictional town of Marietta, Montana, “Cowboy, It’s Cold Outside” is a steamy novella that began during a snowstorm. Marietta native Trey Scott who was coming home for Christmas took shelter in his brother’s empty house only to find Lucy DeMarco, a Marietta transplant from San Francisco also staying over for the night.

There were sparks between them from the beginning; it was supposed to be a no-strings and temporary relationship. But, the more time they spend together, the deeper their feelings become. And with all the baggage that both of them carries plus their dichotomous careers, a happily ever after for Trey and Lucy is a long shot at best

Now, the question is, can Marietta do its magic again to these new lovers?

“Cowboy, It’s Cold Outside” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.

when a chance meeting at her neighbor's house(who happens to be his brother's house) turns into something more for two people who are lost in this Christmas tale. She finds out that she is adopted and moves to Marietta, Montana to start anew and he comes home for his brothers' wedding and is just used to touching down and then leaving. What they find is their own HEA and it's a wonderful story to get you in gear for the holiday season.

COWBOY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE will warm you up like a cup of hot cocoa. It is the 4th book in the Montana Born Christmas series. Trey Scott, photo journalist is in town for the holidays – only to find nobody home. Lucy DeMarco is staying in Trey’s brother’s house because her pipes froze. Sparks between these two are almost instantaneous. Since they are together in the same place, why not make the best of it?

Aside from the heat between the sheets, Trey and Lucy find they have some other things in common. There are also issues that they each have to work out. Together maybe they can help each other find their way, as well as fan the flames of their new relationship,

COWBOY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE is the perfect story to put you in a holiday mood. Catherine Garbera has a unique writing style that grabs you and pulls you in. Step out of the winter chill and into the warmth of Marietta, Montana and the charming small-town setting for a new holiday novella.

This is a cute book. I haven't read the others in the series (wasn't aware this was a series when I requested it) but I thought it was a cute book with great characters.

I thought this book from the very beginning was pretty you it gets your attention with in the first few pages and doesn't disappoint at all in the book. The book has a lot of sexual tension but OMG its HOT HOT HOT and its really a fun book. I would not say the whole book is about sex but it does has some over all the book is fun and worth the read. It was a quick read that doesn't disappoint and that will also put you into the holiday mood. It deals with some heavy some in a lighthearted way so its not all mushy mushy.

Cowboy, It's Cold Outside is the fourth book in the Montana Born Christmas series. It is a well written and professionally edited romance novella.

Trey and Lucy are forced to spend the night together when a snow storm traps them in Trey's brother's house. Lucy has recently moved to Montana to open up a cafe while she works out her feelings towards her family. On his death bed her father revealed that she was adopted. Trey has returned home from wandering the world as a photo journalist. Neither feels they are settled enough to commit to a relationship, but they fall in love anyways.

The characters are nicely developed and easy to empathize with and the plot is a gently paced romance. For a novella the characters and plot are surprisingly complex.

Cowboy… ends with a HEA. It is a good, short read for a weekend.

Cowboy, It's Cold Outside is book #4 in the Montana Born Christmas series and I really enjoyed reading it.

Trey Scott, photo journalist is in town for the holidays and when he stopped at his brother's house instead of an empty house he finds a woman that just got out of the shower.

Lucy moved to Marietta, Montana after her father's death and she opened a breakfast restaurant in town.

Lucy is spending the night at her neighbor's house since her pipes froze but it turns out that she isn't home alone.

As soon as Trey and Lucy see one another the sparks fly and they are very attracted to one another but neither of them is looking for a lasting relationship so they plan to have fun during the holidays.

I enjoyed reading about Lucy and how she is trying to de with a big fily secret her father told her a very short time before he died.

I thought that Lucy and Trey had a great chemistry between them and Enjoyed reading how they learn to know one another while trying to move forward and see if they can have a real relationship after the holidays.

Cowboy, It's cold Outside is a sexy, emotional and fun holiday novella to read.

I loved this book! What happens when two people end up in the same house without knowing either one is there? A great romance, not easy for a man not wanting to stay in his home town just home for the Holidays! The attraction is HOT! The book heartfelt

was a great book, loved how 2 people can change the path of each others lives when they find each other. Trey is lost because he doesn't feel he fits in his hometown so he stays away except for Christmas. Lucy is lost because on his death bed her father told she was adopted. Not knowing who her family is she moves to Marietta to find out who she is. Trey & Lucy are good together right from the beginning & can definitely help each other. Another great series written by different authors that keeps the flow going from one book to the next.

Cowboy, It's Cold Outside is a fantastic romance novel that will heat up your night. Readers will love the chemistry that builds up between the two main characters. At first there is a no strings attachment type of relationship that is going on, but then things between them get deeper and hotter. Lucy DeMarco finds out she is adopted and Trey comes or his brother's wedding only to meet Lucy. These two get closer than what they wanted to and fate has a way of spinning them together.

I loved reading this delightful and beautifully woven plot. Katherine Garbera knows how to hook and lure in her readers. I couldn't put the book down. It was one of the best novels that I have read so far. I would definitely recommend others to read this brilliant book. A five out of five stars, Cowboy, Its Cold Outside is a must read for all.

This was a great, quick holiday read!

I enjoyed every single one of " A Marietta Christmas" series. This book was such as wonderful as all the other ones. I loved it!

This is the last book about the Scott brothers of Marietta. (I swear, this place just keeps getting bigger and bigger!) Trey is home for Christmas but feeling left out in the cold. All his brothers have paired up, leaving him, the globetrotting photojournalist all by his lonesome. Sure, he's got the wandering gene, but sheesh, isn't there someone out there to call home?

Lucy's just trying to get through the holidays. Her world has been turned upside down by a deathbed confession. She's adopted and now she is questioning her place in the world. When they meet quite by accident at Trey's brother's house, they are willing to have a holiday fling.

But the more time they spend together the more they heal each other. Lucy feels like home to Trey and Trey is giving Lucy back her sense of family and her love for her adoptive parents (both dead now).

It's a sweet holiday with the Scotts and DeMarcos.

A great festive themed read that is a great book to escape into at any time of year!

Lucy and Trey are both running - until they run into each other. Lucy isn't sure she has a family any more after finding out she was adopted and Trey is returning to his family for the weddings of his two brothers. The two end up snowbound in a cottage which belongs to one of Trey's brothers who is also Lucy's neighbour . Can love heal their wounds and help them find love and peace together this Christmas?

Set in Marietta, Montana, this is the fourth book in the series but you don't have to read them all to enjoy this one. It is an amazing setting, brought to life by vivid descriptions. The characters are strong, empathically portrayed so you understand their angst, trials and tribulations and can relate to them. This is a great story of family relationships, how time and other influences change these, but, at their heart, they remain firm foundations upon which to build. Running sometimes is not just a way to escape but it can be a great way to find yourself, if only you'll "just be!"

Lucy and Trey had an interesting introduction, and it gets better from there. Trey is in town for just a few weeks over the holidays, and Lucy isn’t interested in a relationship that could distract her from what she feels her life needs to be right now – perfect makings for a one-night stand. Fortunately for them both, when the morning rolls around, neither is really interested in walking away. While Trey seems committed to leaving, he admits Lucy intrigues him and he wants to get to know her better. As for Lucy, well, she liked him – the sound of his voice, she found comfort in his arms – she just really liked him and wanted more time with him.

While they fall into an easy relationship, there are things they are both holding back on. He is good to her and good for her, but she is holding back. She is damaged, but he is too in his own way. One good fight sends Trey packing and suddenly their comfy relationship is … no more?

I really enjoyed this heartwarming story, and I don’t think it matters much what time of year it is read. It brought a smile to my face and a bit of happy to my heart.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was a sweet love story for the holidays, but the characters also had a depth that I appreciated that you don't always find in contemporary romance books. I would definitely read titles from this author in the future!

I'm back in Marietta, Montana ..... yippeeeeeee LOL

This the FUN story of Lucy and Trey :) Lucy basically doesn't know who she is any more after finding out a huge secret about her past so she leaves her old life behind and runs to Marietta to start anew (but is this really the first time she's been here?) and Trey is coming back to Marietta for his brother's double wedding. They meet, they lust and WHAM :) ... very sexy indeed! lol I really loved reading how these two came together. They shared their fears and their pain. It was very heart-warming as they started to each heal (Trey has a few demons of his own) and ultimately really care for each other! Katherine Garbera has a wonderful way of developing her characters. I felt connected to them. Marietta ALWAYS provides the perfect backdrop for love and happiness. :)
If you haven't picked up any of these little stories, you are really missing out!

Cowboy, It's Cold Outside is a fabulous book by Katherine Garbera. In fact, I recently had read another book by her and did not enjoy it nearly as much as this one. You can see the review of that one but why bother, read Cowboy, It's Cold Outside instead. I think it is more than the setting of Marietta, Montana, even though that is in one of my favorite place to visit. The story is sensitive, insightful and just plain old fun to read.

I found these two characters Trey and Lucy to be very approachable as well as believable. I did think Lucy dwelt on her father’s last words too long but I know many in the real world who have done something similar so it is entirely believable. Obsessing is her coping mechanism while running is Trey’s. Boy, that really does sound like some people I know! I found Lucy and Trey to be endearing anyway. I kept reading to see if they could find their way past the fleeting instant attraction to a true lasting relationship. Then, I looked up to see if the other brothers had books. Cowboy, It's Cold Outside is so good I wanted more about this Scott family. Happily I can say that they are three more published. Straightway I added them to my book collection.

This was a very sweet holiday read; Lucy DeMarco has turned into a semi-grinch following some shocking revelations by her father on his deathbed. When Lucy finds herself needing a place to crash after her pipes freeze (I am still so unclear how that is possible) her friend Lane Scott lets her stay at his cottage and there she meets another looking for a place to crash.

When a storm makes it impossible for Trey Scott to continue to the gathering his family is having, he decides what the hell, he'll crash at his brother's place. Trey and Lucy find a way to pass the night and from there what started as fun turns into two sad hearts finding the one person that makes them smile.

The story was really sweet and when Trey finally get's his head out of his lens, well that was just icing on the cake.
