It's Christmas
Eve and Maddie eagerly awaits Santa's arrival. As Maddie's bedtime arrives mom
and dad remind Maddie that Santa will only visit the houses of sleeping
children, and they spark her imagination with the notion that her dreams can
become her nighttime adventures.
Maddie drifts off
to sleep and when she opens her eyes she discovers that she's in the magical
land of the North Pole. Excited to meet Santa's elves and reindeer, and filled
with the holiday spirit, she surprisingly discovers that something is amiss.
With little time before Santa makes his journey around the world, and with the
help of his reindeer, Maddie and her dog Murphy set out to solve a Christmas
mystery!

I read this book with my six year old daughter. We took turns reading it. Very cute story, completely appropriate for her age group. She really enjoyed it, and especially liked the ending. I didn't like the fact that some of it rhymed and some of it did not, but that didn't bother her. Overall a cute holiday story.

Maddie is an excited little girl on Christmas Eve night whose Mum and Dad tell her she needs to sleep so Santa will come to see her this night.
Her Dad tells her to have an adventure in her dreams. She wants to take Murphy with her He says that’s alright.
She closes her eyes and shuts them tight And is quickly off on an adventure that night!
This story is told in prose for the most part but when the elves speak they do so in rhyme.
This is a plus for me, every time!
A great Christmas Eve story that children will love, with Maddie the heroine and Murphy her dog Have an adventure saving a special elf who is lost - but not in the fog A story with lovely pictures young children will love too That make you wish this story is true
So go take a look at this great Christmas time book The ending is great and mysterious so go have a look!
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It is Christmas EVe and Maddie is excited. She knows that she has to be asleep for Santa to come and leave presents under the tree. She falls asleep and has a dream that she and her teddy, Murphy, are transported to Santa's workshop where they discover one of the elves has disappeared - and they are the ones responsible to go and find him...
I enjoyed reading this book. At times, the text rhymed and made the story have a rhythm and flow that was enjoyable. At other times, it was funny and silly and all the things that kids love reading.
The artwork was bright and colourful - everything you would expect from a Christmas story for children.
If you are looking for something a little different for your kids this year for Christmas, you wouldn't go too far wrong with this book.
