Description
High in the treetops, a mistle thrush sings of the wonders it sees. But when the trees are lost, its song must change—to one of hope, resilience, and the urgent call to protect our world.
A lyrical and beautifully illustrated children’s poem, The Last Song of the Mistle Thrush is a heartfelt tale about hope, love and fresh starts, and the responsibility we all share for nature’s future.
Shortlisted for the Hammond House International Literary Prize (2018).
A Note From the Publisher2>
Please note that this is a beautifully-illustrated children's picture book for ages 0-8. In the printed book, each illustration is spread across two pages which means that there are only 2 or 4 lines of verse on each page, making it highly accessible to children. We recommend checking out the paperback to enjoy Ruth's writing and Sarah Lovell's illustrations in their full, spectacular glory, as eBooks rarely live up to the amazingness of the 'real book'. If you experience any issues with this digital version please let us know rather than leave a bad review due to formatting/access issues.
