When an arrogant donkey asks you to let him into the White House, you might get duped into thinking it’s a good idea. But once he gets there, he’ll want to expand the government. And then before you know it, he will take you on a misguided adventure that will ruin your life. In this timely parody, readers young and old will either laugh or cry as they follow the story of a boy, a donkey, and unintended consequences.

This is an enjoyable book, though not a true children's book due to some old (not obscene or profane) language. This should read by anyone who enjoyed "There's a Liberal Under My Bed."

Fun riff off of the children's book "if You Give a Mouse a Cookie" Clever with good illustrations; innocuous and nonsensical. As a donkey I can say that none of it made sense to me but who cares when you get to have a chuckle or two.

A great spoof of the Numeroff children's books. Even though this book is amusing, it is also kind of sad because many things this book describes are actually happening now.
