Description

All Fired Up is the follow-up to New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Madelynne Ellis’ scorching rock star romance novel, All Night Long.

Ginny Walters always knew her weakness for bad boys would get her into trouble. Her one night stand with Black Halo’s lead guitarist, Ash Gore, was only supposed to be a fun, not the prelude to the sort of relationship that’d scorch holes in her heart as well as her bed sheets. She’d be the happiest woman in the world if Ash wasn’t so determined to keep their connection off radar.

Ash Gore knows girlfriends are bad news for bands, which is why he’s resolved to keep his attachment to Ginny a secret. He and the guys have enough on their stages as they try to piece themselves back together after the band’s split. But when new drummer, Iain Willows, starts taking an active interest in Ginny, tensions quickly mount. Soon, Ash is not only at risk of losing Ginny, but everything he holds dearest—including life itself.

A good hot read. I liked the characters. I enjoyed reading about them. Will totally looked for the next book in the series when released.

I enjoyed this one and love how it follows the story through, once again the characters are very well written, the story line is easy to follow. Making the book a fast read. The struggles are real, they pull with your emotions and make you feel apart of it all. Huge Black Halo fan coming out in me. I love the band and all there issues.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I realized this was the second book in a series (Black Halo) and the fifth book in an ongoing story (Rock Hard + Black Halo) right before beginning this book. It is a pet peeve of mine to start a book mid-series so I went back and read all the books in both series before beginning this one. I am glad I did because it allowed me to be fully invested in all the characters and grow to love the main characters of this story. This book does a pretty good job on grazing over the facts you missed so you don’t necessarily have to do go back and read the prior books but it is highly recommended. I absolutely love the heroine (Ginny) in this book and the hero (Ash) is such a cutie. She’s that outspoken friend that always pulls you into the craziest situations that you wouldn’t dare be in on your own but when you look back later and realize how much fun you had your grateful she was there. Ash has the type of personality that makes you want to give him a pat on the head and get nasty with him all in the same conversation lol. This story picked up right in the middle of the drama that was unfolding in the last book from Madelynne’s other series (Come Together). There were plenty of scenes that overlapped with scenes from the previous book, however I am really happy that the author didn’t just copy the same words and paste a different name on the end of the sentence. I have seen it done before and it was a complete drag! Ugh! I appreciated the fact that I was able to relieve the experience through another person’s eyes and focus on different aspects of what was going down. I gave this book 3 stars because it didn’t hold my attention like the first book and I was so annoyed at Ash and Iain throughout so much of the book that I walked around in a perpetual bad mood most of the day. I also wish I could’ve gotten more answers when the shit finally hit the fan. The characters faced some serious life altering issues and I was still left with unanswered questions and I am not even referring to the cliffhanger. Yes, there is a cliffhanger at the end of this one folks!

All in all, it’s a good series with relatable characters, heart melting bad ass rockers, great comedic moments, and blush worthy sex. Don’t get me wrong, I very much enjoyed this selection but it just left me feeling like “eh…”
