The fourth edition of Schiffer Fashion Press’s (SFP) runway compendium tells the story of the Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week collections from “Atelier to Runway.” Sketches, inspirations, mementos, swatches, and mood boards from the studios of five top designers offer insights into the creative process behind the collections. The story further unfolds with compelling backstage coverage gathered before 10 runway shows. Here you’ll see the pre-runway excitement of hair stylists, makeup artists, and designers creating the final look. Finally, nearly 2,000 runway and presentation images from the collections of 78 designers complete this New York Fashion Week experience. Complementing this dramatic fashion narrative, this volume also presents street fashion photography and an expanded trend guide with more details and analysis, plus hair and makeup coverage. Come behind the scenes with us to experience everything that makes this week the most exciting time in American fashion. Please note, this is a low-resolution PDF to comply with NetGalley size restrictions due the large number of images in this title and larger-than-average file sizes.

What a stunning book, I am almost lost for words it was so much fun to look at. I was super excited when I got a copy through NetGalley in exchange for a review, which I am more than happy to provide. If you love fashion and are like me, I am pretty sure I will never get to go to one of the Fashion Shows in New York, than this book is the next best thing. You get a behind the scenes look at what goes on at a runway show, how the hair and make up looks are created, what inspires some designer, and lets not forget tons and tons of stunning pictures. This would make a great gift for any Fashionista, or would be designer, I know I felt inspired by it and I can't even sew very well. Loved the Book.

Book Review: The SFP LookBook Atelier to Runway: New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015
Disclosure: I’m a New York Fashion Week habitué since 2002.
That said, I can say with confidence that “The SFP LookBook: Atelier to Runway” by Andrea Kiliany Thatcher, Morgan Beye is a comprehensive coverage of New York Fashion Week, which during the Spring 2015 season is officially called Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
From experience, I know that covering fashion week with over 200 designers showing is always hectic and a lot of work. Between Andrea Kiliany Thatcher and Morgan Beye, they covered the front of house, backstage, hair and make-up, and they even had time to do interviews.
That they created a book out of that coverage is already exceptional; that they added trends and insights for the Spring/Summer 2015 season is an added bonus.
The SFP LookBook: Atelier to Runway is a great coffee table book for hardcore fashionistas and a good reference material for students of fashion.
