In the third book, Kikoo is happily surprised to find that there are several youngsters near his age who are among a group of 'rainbow children' who will join them for the most challenging mission yet. They will need to practice hard to insure the success of their mission to the dark and foggy world of Terraboddam. Although the children he are eager to begin their rescue mission and face the many dangers which await them in the rocky underworld, they will face conflicts that they couldn't prepare for. Kikoo's mother's concerns increase as she sees the changes in her son, but little does she know of the danger those worries pose for her.
