Another great entry into this series. Each book is written by a different author yet they flow smoothly. Although the book was not very long, I did not feel cheated on story.

ARC received for review

He had come to her rescue one night along time ago, but no one knew it. Then Mardie's friend "buys" her Jett at an auction so he can fix up her house. Jett was sooooooo sweet it almost made your teeth hurt. Wow, she worked a lot plus had a toddler...Superwoman. This story moved so fast and there were so many people introduced it almost made my head spin. There are a lot of great secondary characters to more books. I was really hoping for a confrontation between Jett and her ex.

I really enjoyed this story! Jett and Mardie have excellent chemistry and their banter is very entertaining. And when the banter and innuendo are over and the sexy times start look out! Mardie is a single mom with a rough past and Jett is a world champion skier with the world at his feet. They have a painful history and in spite of they potential for trouble they fall in love and decide to go for a future together. This was a fun, fast paced, entertaining read and I am looking forward to the rest of the stories in this multi author series. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

This book made me feel good while reading it. It's just the type of feel good romance that everyone needs to experience. The characters go through real issues, and have real emotions, that you may be able to relate to. Needing repairs done on my house, but not having the money to cover it, is something I understand. So I was able to relate to Mardie in that aspect. I loved how Mardie had the strength to pick up the pieces of her life and move on after everything she went through. Jett makes sigh. Jett is a wonderful hero. He saw Mardie at her lowest, and treated her with respect and was up front with her from the beginning. I loved how this story played out and I absolutely adored the ending.

Love this mini series :). I have read 2 of the books so far and been transported into the storyline. on each. Kelly Hunter is a new favourite author for me and I really hope she returns and does a novel for each of Jett's brothers. So to start with this is Mardie and Jett's story. Mardie is a single mum working hard to pay the bills as a waitress shes just brought a Beautiful albeit rundown property that needs a lot of work and shes recovering from an abusive relationship that left her with a few emotional scars. Jett is a world class olympic skier with a competitive streak a mile wide. and then theres the bachelor auction for a little boy who got hurt on the mountain. Jett's auctioned of for charity and Mardies bestie buys him for her as a gift to do some work round the house. I don't think i can say anymore without giving the story away but I loved it and can't recommend the book enough.

Mardie's had a hard life, a unfulfilled career, a bad marriage, she seen it all. But now she's making a fresh start. She has a job to make ends meet and a not so new home for herself and her little girl. What she doesn't have is the money to get it fixed up. Enter Jett Casey, the golden boy of Marietta, who has been "bought" especially for her by her friend Emma. He has one week to fix up her home AND win her heart. But Mardie's afraid to let him in, because for one she doesn't trust men and two he knows her dirty little secret.

I'm really loving the Montana Born Bachelor Auction books. They are fun, hot, and sweet. Jett surprised me and I couldn't put it down. Mardie has had a rough time in her marriage. After one night Jett rescued her, she was never far from his mind and the same was for her.

Ella wins Jett at the acution for mardie. She knows her best friend could use help fixing up her home not only for herself but for her daughter as well.

this was just a really sweet read of two people getting what they want and falling in love.

Mardie is working hard to make a better life for her baby girl after going through hell. She sees a face she wants to run from but also run too. She is torn as to what to do but she know that the auction will be over soon and she will not have to see Jett Casey again after that or will she?
Jett wonders if Mardie remembers him, has always wonder what happened to her after there last run in and he she is happy to see her again. When she gets him as a gift for a week of handyman services he wonders if this is a way to make a wrong right? OMG I love this story, I love being able to catch up with the wonderful characters of Marrietta Montana. I love how this author talked about some tough issues but the book as a whole left you wanting more. I can honestly say there was not one thing I did not like about this book. While the book my be short its got a really good story and a way of drawing you into the book you find it hard to put down. Unlike the other books that have a ton of steamy hotness this book has a "little bit" of steamy hotness to it, but it is worth it because even with the little bit the story didn't need it all the much since there was so much chemistry through out the whole book. If you are looking for a fun series to read these set of books are for you.

The Bachelor Auction series from Tule Publishing has another winner on its list with Kelly Hunter's What a Bachelor Needs.

This is a lovely romance, and even though the speed at which it develops is quicker than I'm usually keen on, I loved that their connection and their shared story ran deeper and further back than the day of the auction.

Mardie has a real honesty and strength about her, and I loved that she didn't allow herself to become or stay a victim. Jett's a fun, happy guy on the surface, but still waters do run deep with him - he's a sweetheart and giving of himself and his time (and not because he has to, either). The chemistry between them is both genuine, and genuinely hot.

I thoroughly enjoyed their journey to their HEA, and I'm looking even more forward to the rest of the Bachelor Auction series now.

Definitely my favourite of this series so far – I love Jett! There’s no bad side to him - he really is gorgeously, playfully perfect. I liked Mardie too; a woman who’s been through some seriously bad things but has come out stronger.

Their relationship is adorable, with Mardie rebuilding her confidence to match Jett’s cheerful ways, while Jett keeps toning himself down until she’s ready to play at his level. The addition of a cute baby just added to the all-round sweetness.

Sweet and adorable with a hint of sexy and one perfect guy, this particular bachelor was definitely worth winning.

I loved this story! After dealing with an abusive husband and getting out of that bad relationship, Mardie Griffin is content in her little rundown home, just her and her baby. When her well intending friends buy her the handyman services of Jett Casey at the bachelor auction, she comes up with small things she can afford to get done while she has him but she isn't prepared for all he has to offer!

This is a wonderful heartwarming read and it will definitely leave you with a smile! I recommend this one.

This is the second of the Bachelor Auction series I have read and enjoyed. It is a quick and easy read. Cute and sweet, this was a perfect diversion on a cold afternoon. I would have perhaps liked more of Mardie and Jett's relationship during the six month trial, but I did get the HEA I was rooting for. Both Mardie and Jett were likeable characters, and I enjoyed the interaction between Jett and Claire as well. I look foreward to reading other books in this series.

A fun and quick read about two lonely people. A sexy single mother and a sexy skier. Good chemestry and fun flirting. Love the little girl, she sounds like a sweetie! Would recommend if you want a light fun read, with a few sad undertones. The only thing I did not like was the awkwardness of the flashbacks in the beginning. Got a little confusing.

Jett and Mardie crossed paths at one of the lowest points in her life. He was their when she had no one to rely on in her time of need. Jett never forgot Mardie and wished he could have done more to help her. When their paths cross again at a bachelor auction, Jett finds himself recruited to help now single mom Mardie get her run residence in order for her and her daughter. Despite Mardie better judgement she agrees to allow him to help her. This time Jett is not willing to allow anything or anyone to harm Mardie or her daughter. He will keep them safe and maybe gain the family he never knew he wanted. I received an ARC of What a Bachelor Needs for an honest review. I found this story to be a cute, heartwarming read.

Mardie is a woman who has had a rough past. She's built a new life for herself and her daughter and she likes it just fine. Or does she...?

Jett is a world champion skier and a handyman to boot. Who wouldn't love a sexy man who loves speed and knows how to use his hands?

This story was sweet and hot in equal measure. The Marietta Bachelor Auction continues to bring passions to the forefront. The interactions between Mardie and Jett were fabulous. Jett was so careful to give Mardie what she needed without pushing her, it was awesome. Jett's scenes with Claire completely stole my heart. This one was a total winner in my book.

This was adorable. Loved both characters. Loved the fact that Mardie was able to see herself clearly. Loved the steam between Jett and Mardie. LOVED

Mardie was living a nightmare, and on the absolute worst night of her life she needed saved but didn’t expect to survive. Out of the darkness stepped a hero. A man who chased off her attacker, held her close while waiting for medical help to arrive and murmured the words she needed most to hear – that this wasn’t her fault, she was worth so much more than to be treated like this. Battered and bruised she walked away from her old life that night and the hero she never expected to see again…

…until her friends presented Jett to her at the Bachelor Auction taking place in the bar/diner where she worked, already bought and paid for – hired as a week long handyman to get her run down newly purchased house in a more liveable condition for her and her baby girl. This Olympic skier and her hero on that worst possible night – was going to fix up her house?! Impossible. Gifts from Heaven don’t happen to Mardie like this. Until Jett.

I have to admit that this one is my favorite novella of the Montana Born Bachelor Auction yet (there are 2 unreleased ones at this time so there might be more favorites)… but this one won my heart and I really didn’t want it to end.

Jett and Mardie had an attraction since high school. Oh, they never acted on it, but they were aware of each other. Then life moved in different directions for each of them. Jett lived his dream of ski champion and also was a silent partner in his brothers’ construction company – so he did know how to build and fix things up. Maybe even a lovely young mom and her adorable baby girl.

It is so tempting to tell you the entire story here because I just loved it that much. But I won’t. I do highly recommend What A Bachelor Needs. I give it a 4 outta 5 star rating. If you enjoy a truly loving, sexy, emotional, hot, at times tearful love story – pick this one up. This one is a Keeper for me. I could read this again without hesitation and probably enjoy it even more.

I fell in love with Jett Casey! What a beautiful man. I actually really like both characters - Jett and Mardie. How could you not root for these two. Ms. Hunter did a wonderful job of establishing that there had been a long brewing attraction between the two of them from when they were in high school. As well as Jett being Mardie's "hero" at the lowest point in her life. Sometimes what you need is someone to tell you and show you that you matter. This really is a beautifully written novella on so many levels. Ms. Hunter delves into some very hard topics - domestic abuse, pride, working-class challenges. She does a great job in balancing the romance with the rest of life's complicated aspects. I also loved how she included both Jett and Mardie's families in the story. Most of us have strong ties to our families and I find it difficult when novels ignore other members of the family when telling a story. Ms. Hunter is one of my favorite Tule writers.

4.5 Stars

The Bachelor Auction series is so much fun to read. Each book is a short and easy read – perfect for a rainy afternoon. This is the 4th book in the series. I am loving the bachelor auction theme. This time Olympic ski champ Jett Casey is “bought” by Mardie Griffin’s friends as a “handyman for a week” to help her fix up her old run down house. She has spent all of her money buying the place, so is slow in being able to fix it up. What Mardie’s friends don’t know is that Jett Casey has come to her rescue once before – in a severe time of need. He never forgot her, and of course, she remembers her savior. Here he is again. Fate must have a hand in this.

Kelly Hunter writes a gripping story, making use of every word. The main characters are well developed. You care about them. You find yourself wanting them to get together from the beginning. Mardie’s baby daughter is an adorable addition to the story and gives us a glimpse of what a good father Jett will be. They are taken with each other almost immediately - SO cute. Jett is a swoon-worthy hero…and he really IS a hero. I wish every single mom could have a Jett Casey. Mardie is a very lucky girl. He is smokin’ hot and a total sweetheart. You can’t help but fall in love with him.

Kelly Hunter pulls out all the stops in this highly enjoyable, insightful, and funny look at self-sacrifice and romantic entanglement. It is a sweet story and a fun, short trip back to Marietta. I really enjoyed it, and highly recommend!

I loved the acts of thoughtfulness and kindness used to win her heart. She's the single mom with a dark moment who catches a break. He's the Olympian turned handyman who fixes the little things because he recognizes she's perfect as she is. When novellas like to emphasize passion and Chemistry, this story reminds us that love can be expressed in other ways too-patience, kindness, respect, and thoughtfulness.

Jett is a sweetheart in this book and Mardie is pretty great too. They have had crushes on each other for years and one night two years ago Jett lended Mardie a hand and they never forgot each other.

This story begins at teh Murietta bachelor auction were Mardie's BFF wins Jett and give it away to single, mom Mardie for some handyman stuff.

Mardie is a single mom and she has this house thats falling apart and Jett saves the day.

I found this to be a happy story with some great characters. This book seems short but its a great story and romance.

Mr Hunter has created a terrific little scenario for her first novels around a bachelor auction to benefit a local family. I enjoyed her writing style, narrative and dialogue . I think she has the talent to become a very successful romance writer. Well done.

4 - "You like betting on dark horses." Stars.

The fourth book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series, is definitely one of my favorites so far.

"How do I measure up?"

Jett and Mardie, ticked all the boxes in relation to what I want to read in a romantic novella, loved the addition of her young baby daughter Claire into the mix, and the easy going development and nature of their relationship in the story. This is a low drama, sexy, easy read novella that will leave you with a little smile and a lighter heart!

I cannot recommend this series highly enough if you are looking for a couple of hours of entertainment, each novella can easily be read as a stand-alone, and every one of them has been pretty entertaining so far.

Each time I pick up a book from the Bachelor Auctions series I know I’ll be in for a treat.

Jett Casey aided Mardie Griffin during one of the worst moments in her life and neither has spoken to the other since. When Mardi discovers that her friend purchased Jett’s handyman skills for her benefit, Mardie’s a bit hesitant yet she knows her house could do with more than a sprucing up.

Jett’s always wondered what happened to Mardie. When he discovers that she’s now a single-mother working hard to make her own way, he’s more than willingly to help her out. Yet once he spends time with her and her young daughter, he starts to wonder if roaming the world chasing ski championships is worth it.

I loved Mardie. She’s been to hell and back yet she came out fighting and hasn’t stopped since. Her past has made her leery of men yet she knows that she can trust Jett.

Jett was the perfect hero. He knows what Mardie needs, what scars she carries from her past and he’s willing to work to make her and her daughter’s future as safe as possible.

This is the first time that I’ve read a book where the hero was a professional skier, and it was interesting to see how it shaped Jett’s character traits.

I loved that they knew each other in high school and almost shared a ‘moment’ which neither can stop thinking about. It made their chemistry so much more intense.

My one and only flaw with this book was that it was so short. While the plot flowed and the characters were well-developed, this book was so interesting it could have easily been made into a full-length novel.

Overall, What a Bachelor Needs left me smiling and feeling all warm and fuzzy. I was rooting Jett and cheering for Mardie as I read this book in one sitting.

Short and sweet. I liked the humor in this one and I loved that they both knew what they wanted and went for it. This series is full of sweet romances and I love it, there is no unnecessary drama. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This lovely romance is the story of Jett and Mardie. After rescuing Mardie from a difficult situation two years prior, she had never left Jett's mind. Now he's been purchased in a bachelor auction to be her handyman for a week and is determined to make up for what he sees as a personal failure from the past. Mardie knows not to look a gift horse in the mouth and having Jett around to help fix up her house is a godsend. But when Jett appears as interested in her as in his handyman job, will she be willing to open herself up to the possibility of something more?

I really enjoyed this story! Jett is the sweetest guy - strong, dependable, capable and flirtatious. He's pretty much always gotten what he wanted, with women and in life and being sidelined from his skiing has given him the chance to focus on what he really wants for his future. Much to his surprise, the quiet strength and beauty of Mardie calls to him like no other woman, and his attraction to her has not been diminished over time and their past history. I loved Mardie's character too - she's overcome a bad marriage, is raising a child on her own and has found the inner strength required to move forward. The sexual attraction between her and Jett is hard to deny and leads to some sweet and sexy scenes between them. I enjoyed the banter between them and the sexual tension heating up as the week progressed. Equally as interesting were the secondary characters, friends and family of Mardie and Jett who want only the best for each of them and realize that together they make a great pair. I don't always like stories with young children in them, but this one was done really well and the interaction of Jett with Mardie's daughter Claire was super sweet and lovable. For me, this was a truly enjoyable and entertaining read. 5 stars!

What a beautiful, well written, love story that doesn't leave you cold.
Mardie has gotten out of, and survived an abusive marriage to a son of a wealthy man. She escaped, but paid a price for it. She lost her sense of being safe, being able to trust, she might be a bit broken. But her reward was the freedom, and her daughter that she adored.
In the darkest moment of her life, her high school dream-boy, Jett steps in and saves her, supports her, keep her safe.
Now, because of the Bachelor Auction, they are back in each others life. And while helping Mardie renovate her old house, the attraction between them grows, deepens, and set on fire. Jett brings joy and fun in Mardie's life, makes her feel whole again, beautiful, worthy, and desirable. He doesn't do it by overpowering her, taking over her life, or diminishing her accomplishments in life. But by respecting her, being honest to her, and by recognizing her needs and wishes. This story had me in tears, because of the beauty of the moments Jett and Mardie shared, because of the triumphs in Mardie's life, and in their relationship. It was raw, real, and adorable novella of life and love

4 Exactly What I Wanted Stars * * * *

I love music... all types and sometimes, just like the books I read, I want to have a little something that just makes me feel good. Doesn't need a thumping beat to make my heart race; doesn't need to be a classical composition to make me think and ponder...although I like those too. No... sometimes the classification can be that easy listening type of thing where you kick back and just enjoy the moments around you and it is all good.

This series, Montana Born Bachelor Auction and particularly this entry of What a Bachelor Wants by Kelly Hunter, did the trick and then some. There was ease to this reading... a sense of purpose and knowing you were in great hands and well taken care of...which was exactly what the main character Mardie needed and deserved.

Mardie is the focus of this installment. The basis of the series is a charity auction for a young local old boy who had a devastating accident leaving him wheelchair bound and his single mother burden with medical bills. Numerous local single men have been talked into participating in this auction with the proceeds going to the family in need. This gives us multiple stories tied together and a familiarity which helps the reader with each book. They can be read in any order.

Mardie is working at the Grey's Saloon, the location of the event. She has been dreading this day because she will have to see a person from her past which will bring up difficult memories. What's sad is Jett Casey is the only good of that night. But to worry about being around him and possibly interacting.... she just does not know how she can handle it.

For Mardie, since 15, had watched Jett from a distance. He was a year older and already driven to become the World Class Olympic Skier he is today. Then she would be like other girls...dream a little but put it aside. She ended up later making a mistake in her young adult life....falling for the wrong man. She learned the hard lesson at the end of his fists. But the biggest and best lesson she learned was when she was at her lowest ebb from Jett.

Jett had been in town between racing seasons and saw something in an alley, called out and ran over. There was Mardie, beaten, head bleeding, and almost unconscious. The man had run leaving her there and Jett moved in slowly as if she was a wounded animal. He inched forward; Mardie recognizing him and becoming concerned for him to leave her. Jett gathered her in his arms; told her an ambulance was coming...to hang on and she was worth living her life... to not let go...she deserved better. She never said who did this to her. Only when he saw the look of fear in her eyes telling him to stay back at the hospital, did he put together her old boyfriend did this. She expressed no to him while being led away by the boy's powerful father...and Jett decided to give her that.

Jett has always been haunted by those moments with Mardie... the feel of her against his chest... her clinging to him. He has dreamt of the girl turned woman and wondered... could he have done something different... should he have...Now he is seeing her years later. She moves along the Saloon sure of herself and strong. He likes watching her but becomes distracted as the auction is about to take place.

Mardie has just delivered drinks to her friends...one of them is teasing her about the needs of her new home where she and little Claire live. Mardie has worked to overcome her past. That night was the turning point. She confronted the husband's father, made sure to get her divorce and the son gone. Made sure they had no claim to her beautiful daughter when she was born. Made sure to feel good about her honest work and life she provided for them. She was stronger now and making her way. Yes, the house she just bought was a ugly duckling... but in her heart she knew it could become a swan with a lot of love and care. It was just going to take time and the cash was not there right now... She told her friends she had a list and was working through it.

The auction starts as planned and Jett is up for bid. He was supposed to do a ski trip with the winner but he recently became injured so the trip would have to be at a later date. As an alternative and help the bidding process, he shares his extreme talents in construction backed by the fact of his brother's company. The bidding starts and ends up at a healthy $2,300. Mardie's friends decided to pool resources and give her Jett to work on her house for a week. Mardie tries to get out of ii..doesn't work and now she is going to have Jett in her house. How will she stand it...for her mind has so much confusion about him... he saw her at her worst... what will he think...Yet her body loves the look of him and remembers the feel of him holding her close. What to do....

This tale took you on the sweetest of non rushed discovery. There was charm in abundance. There was character development and understanding of what each of them needed and wanted. There was a central truth to it... neither character playing games or posturing...just honestly dealing with all of the "stuff" between them open and freely. I absolutely loved how it played out.

There was also a couple of added bonuses... Claire, Mardie's 1 year old daughter. What a cutie... and perfect in the way the story developed. She was a perfect way to show how natural Jett became comfortable and accepted. It just worked.

Yes, there was a little spice and it was delicious...but over all the feeling after this read will be ahhhhh. So if you are looking for a little something to enjoy, something which will make you feel wrapped up in arms and safe, then this book for you.

What a Bachelor Needs is book #4 in The Montana bachelor auction series and it was an o.k read but not my fav in the series.

Mardie Griffin is a single mom that is working very hard as a waitress in order to pay the bills and try to fix her run down old house.

Jett Cassey is an Olympic ski champ and as part of the bachelor auction is offering a ski trip or a week of doing handyman jobs around the house.
Mardie's best friend Ella buy Jett at the bachelor auction and send him to fix u Mardie's house.

Mardie doesn't want Jett to fix her house since she has no money for all the materials but in the end she agree for Jett to help her fix the house.

Jett helped Mardie in during one of the worst moments in her life and he gave her hope that made her divorce her husband and make a good life for her and her baby daughter Claire.

Jett really wants to help Mardie by fixing her house but he needs to respect her Independence and not fix things she can't affort to pay for so he gets creative and ask his brother Seth for help.

The attraction between Mardie and Jett is very strong and they end u in bed together but Mardie think this is just a short time affair but the more time Jett spends with Mardie and her cute doughter Claire the more he realize that he wants to spend his life with them but it's going to be hard to convince Mardie that they belong together for life.

I enjoyed reading about Jett and Mardie but I felt like there was something missing for me in the story. I felt like Mardie was too stubborn in not asking for help from her friends. I could understand why it was important for her to be independent and not rely on other to help her but her house was in bad shape and with a baby living there she really couldn't say no to the help offered.

I loved Claire and the fact that Jett really loved her and wanted to spend time with her.

What a Bachelor Needs was an easy quick read.

Honestly, I haven’t read anything badly written that has been published by Tule Publishing Group. The romance books by this publisher are upbeat, solidly written stories that are not too long. They can be read in an evening or two. There are some series and books I have liked better than others.

The Bachelor Auctions ranks up as a favorite so far. This entire series has had interesting characters from varied backgrounds who have started out helping an injured boy and his mother, then branched off into their own stories. I do love that I’m getting to visit Marietta, Montana in this series. Like those potato chips that you can’t just eat one, this small western town keeps me coming back for more. This fourth auction story, What a Bachelor Needs by Kelly Hunter is now a favorite of mine. Mardie is a former abused wife who is staying strong while raising her young daughter. The author shows her setting goals and trying to stand completely on her own, which I completely admired.

Jett is such the perfect male and not just for Mardie. He is handsome, confident, and successful. He takes winning his sport competitions seriously but not himself. Plus, he truly is a handy man to have around. I loved the relationship building between these two and Claire’s input, she seemed to fall for Jett first. The ending is wonderful and romantic. This is an all-around great romance. It’s a gold medal winner!

Just like the potato chips, you can’t read one of the Jackson brothers’ stories without wanting another one. I found two more, Caleb’s and Eli’s. Hope Seth is up next.

Short, sweet, quick and quite romantic. That’s how I like my romance series these days. I’m well on my 4th Bachelor Auction Series and the stories just keep getting better.

Jett Casey is a handyman AND a famous ski athlete, and he’s a famewhore. He likes the attention and women thrown at his feet. But he isn’t a playboy. He can have any girl he wants, but that’s not what he needs. His eyes and heart is recently captured by Mardie, a shaken and beat-up girl he helped in an alley a few years back. Mardie, on the other hand, keeps her distance, knowing that Jett can tell anyone about what happened in her past. Their paths meet again during the Bachelor Auction Bidding, though this time, Mardie didn’t bid for him but her friend Ella. All along, Ella intends to bid for the handyman so that she can throw him at Mardie and have him fix her dump house. Floors, carpets, walls, babyseats and honesty kitchen later, they found themselves kissing and dreaming at the top of mountain slopes. Is there hope for Mardie for a second chance, knowing Jett’s only going to be with her in just a week?

Well, your guess is as good as mine.

I liked the story a lot. It’s not heavy drama and too sensual. Kelly Hunter wrote a romantic book with just the right flavours – sweet and hot and easy to devour. The next thing I knew, I’m on the last chapter of the book and can feel my jaw hurting because of all the smiles I did while reading. There’s this one scene that really cracked me up; the one where Mardie’s father went on a surprise visit to her daughter, and Jett tries very hard to hide the fact that he spent the night in her bed. And then poof, Married appeared on her doorway, sporting a tank top and panties, spouting words about their sleeping in together! That was totally humiliating (on Mardie’s part) yet I found it sweet and funny and cheesy. Ha Ha, I’m a goner! Can’t wait to read about the next Bachelor!

This is a very cute, short, no-frills but extremely sexy romantic read from a new author and publisher to me. Well developed characters in a realistic story line make this a great novella that is worth the read!

Mardie Griffin hasn't had a great life; on the outer fringes in high school and married to an abusive loser, she ends up alone with her 18-month old daughter. Now she's working as a waitress in her hometown in Montana and restoring an old house. A local family needs help, so the community rallies around and plans a bachelor auction at the bar she works at. She's working the night of the auction, and a friend asks for her recommendation on bidding. She knows and likes Jett so mentions him. Of course, that "friend" buys him for Mardie... However, no one but Mardie and Jett know about the secret past they share from two years ago.

Jett Casey is at loose ends. He's recovering from a small injury and can't ski, so he's got a lot of energy to work off. Participating in the auction is embarrassing, but he's willing to do it since it's for a good cause. He sees Mardie in the crowd and remembers both the times he noticed her in high school as well as the unfortunate incident from two years past. When the bidding starts and he is won, it's a surprise to find out that the winner plans to hand him over to Mardie!

Reluctantly, Mardie accepts Jett as her handyman for a week and he starts helping her with her "dream" house. With the chemistry between them, things quickly heat up. But will Mardie and Jett ever address the elephant in the room--the night he rescued her? Can Mardie ever let go of the past long enough to grab for a future with Jett? Is Jett ready for forever?

You're going to root for them both~

Another winner for the Bachelor series. This is the story of Jett and Mardie. Jett was bought by Ella, a week for handyman fixes, she gives her gift to Mardie. Mardie is a single mom, with a run down house. The chemistry and banter between these two are so enjoyable. A very sweet romance. You will not want to miss this book or the other books in the series.

Very cute romance with an emotionally wounded heroine and the fearless hero who makes her feel worthy again. And he's one heck of handyman, too! I need a hot guy to remodel my house in 5 days!

The 4th book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series, it functions well as stand-alone but reading the other books will certainly enhance your enjoyment of this. This book focuses on Mardie and Jett. She's struggling to make it as a single mom and he's an Olympic athlete...worlds away on the surface but they share a memory of a night that shaped her life and impacted his in a forever kind of way.

Likable and relatable characters, great supporting cast. A lot of steamy encounters to keep it interesting. Quick but satisfying read.

I loved this book!

Jett is a professional Skier who holds World Championship titles and he happens to be in Marietta when Molly was in search of "volunteers" for the Bachelor Auction in aid of charity.

Mardie is a single mum who works as a waitress where the event is being held but Jett is no stranger to her since he once came to her rescue. Mardie's life is not easy but she is determined to work hard to provide a decent life for her baby girl, Claire. Her friend wins the bid on Jett and gifts it to Mardie as the prize is the service of a handy man for one week, something Mardie is in desperate need of since her house requires a lot of work but she doesn't have the budget.

Jett is very respectable, hard working and down to earth despite his celebrity status and Mardie is very independent and doesn't like to be looked upon as a charity case but with some persuasion, she agrees to Jett's help. It's a very well written and convincing romance, developing at a steady pace.

I like everything about this novella and would recommend to those who like a good romance with great characters.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Jett Casey, world renowned downhill ski racer, Marietta native, and all-around gorgeous and good guy bachelor, agrees to be auctioned off as a date in order to raise money to support an injured boy and his mom. Mardie Griffin, single mom of a beautiful one year old, struggling to make ends meet as a waitress at Grey’s Saloon, and owner of a home in need of significant maintenance and updating, is awarded Jett Casey’s date as a gift from her friend. Jett is offering either a ski trip or his services as a handyman for one week, and her need for a handyman wins out. Jett is efficient, thorough, and very talented in his handyman duties, and completely charms Mardie’s daughter Claire, not to mention Mardie herself, along the way. When Mardie’s week of handyman services ends, Jett’s injury rehab time is nearly at an end too, meaning he needs to hit the road again. Mardie doesn’t welcome the thought of Jett not a part of her life, but she is also not willing to jump too far too soon with a new relationship. Will absence make the heart grow fonder?

This book is a great addition to the Marietta bachelor auction series – I definitely recommend it.

Thank you to the author and publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

**I received an ARC in exchange for my opinion**

Mardie doesn't have time for love, so when her well-meaning friend "buys" her a bachelor at the auction fundraiser, she opts for the "handyman" projects rather than a date with playboy skier Jett. Jett knows a secret about Mardie and her past, and he goes above and beyond the project list to make her house safe for her little girl. As they spend time together, the attraction is mutual, but are they each able to take the risk on the next step for romance. Taking things slow, learning there can be love without hurt, leads these two into a love for a lifetime.

Mardie Griffin survived being married to an abusive man and while she has to scrimp and save every dollar she earns, she's much happier being a single mom to her daughter Claire and living in a house that needs a great deal of TLC. While her family knows bits and pieces of what she endured with her ex, the one man who saw just how low she was after a particular beating was the very same man that Mardie used to fantasize about when she was younger and, if she's honest about it, still thinks about up to now.

Jett Casey has always been competitive and knows what it feels like to win championships and medals. Life has been good but he's never forgotten the woman he saved in an alley two years ago. When his path crosses with hers again, it's at the bachelor auction in Marietta, Montana and her friend has just bought him as a gift. His injury may prevent him from doing anything skiing-wise but he comes from a family that's good with their hands and he's ready to be her handyman or anything else she may need.

Mardie welcomes Casey's help but makes sure that he doesn't do more than he's supposed to, something he can't seem (or refuses) to understand. Casey sees that Mardie needs more help than she's able to pay for and does what he can, looking for bargains and discounts because he knows she'll refuse anything that's given to her for free. In the span of a week, the two become even closer and the bond they shared two years ago grows to something more, but is Mardie ready for someone like Casey in her life?

Written by Kelly Hunter, What a Bachelor Needs is the fourth, and my personal favorite, book in the multi-authored Bachelor Auction series. I loved Mardie and Casey, especially because Mardie was independent but knew when she needed help and because Casey respected Mardie's need to pay for the materials used in the makeover of her home while still doing whatever he could to help. These two were sweet and funny and such a joy to read in a light-hearted story about second chances and survival.

For those who are interested in reading the story of Ella Grace Emerson and Cam Sawyer, both friends of Mardie and Ella being the one who placed the highest bid on Casey, I've just added What a Bride Wants on my TBR list. Looks like I've got another series that will be keeping me occupied once I get through all the books I need to read and review this March and April. ^.^ For now, I highly recommend you check out What a Bachelor Needs because it fulfills what romance readers want. Five stars for this gem of a book! ♥

Kelly Hunter has written a winner in What A Bachelor Needs! This is the fourth book in the Bachelor Auction series and while it works really well on its own it is worth reading the other books as well. Each is written by a different author but with a common theme.
Back to this book and we have single mother Mardie Griffin working her tail off to pay a massive mortgage and repair snd renovate the once beautiful old house she has bought. Mardie's ex-husband has left her with a deep distrust of men and despite having had a crush on Jett Casey since the age of fifteen she's always felt he was out of her league. Besides, she really doesn't want him to know how she feels, particularly since the last time he saw her she was at her very lowest. When her friend Ella buys Jett's handyman services for Mardie for a week she resists with all her might.
Jett hasn't forgotten Mardie. He remembers thinking she looked pretty cute at school and he remembers how she made him feel when he rescued her and held her in his arms. He's a flirt, friendly kind of guy but he's got a social conscience snd he really wants to make Mardie feel safe in her home.
The attraction between these two fairly sizzles yet for both of them it's about more than just sex. Having said that the sex is well written and smouldering, and the admiration each feels for the other's bodies is a thread through the book. I think Kelly Hunter must have chuckled and smiled an awful lot as she wrote this book. It is light, fun, fast paved and there's a lot of tongue in cheek admiration for Jett's beautiful body. I really enjoyed reading What A Bachelor Needs and while I flew through the pages i didn't want it to end. Definitely recommended!

I received this book as an ARC for my honest review from Net Galley.

Somehow I stumbled upon this excellent series about a bunch of sexy Bachelors that are being auctioned off for a great cause. I love the idea of the series although it is about the same town and the same auction the books are written by different Authors. With it being written this way you are getting a fresh look from different points of view but all with the same beautiful result. Great idea, Great series!

I want to start by saying great job Kelly Hunter for touching on some great issues in this novel, you addressed it and showed that even when life is at its worst a person can come back from the bottom and sail to the top!

Mardie and Jett were a couple after my heart. Mardie has a hard time trusting men but after Jett saved her life on one of the worst nights of her life she cant help but open up to him a little .

Jett has seen Mardie at her lowest but instead of thinking her weak he gives her words and support that only empowers her to do better and want better for herself and her child.

When Jett is given to Mardie as a gift to help her fix her first home, Mardie cant help but build a fortress around her heart to keep him out. Unfortunately for her Jett does not give up and skis right past her every defense to not only fix her home but hopefully her heart!

We definitely need more Jett Casey's in this world!!!

This was a smooth and well written short story with just enough romance.

World championship skier, part time handyman, Jett Casey can come work on my house anytime. His flirty demeanor and dimples won me over, just like they did for single mom Mardie. Jett and Mardie have a complex history from a couple of years before our story takes place. Mardie is initially reluctant to accept Jett's handyman services that her friend won in a bachelor's auction. Jett won't take no for an answer though, and not only works on the house, he gets Mardie to agree to try bring with him

Number four of six books has an Olympian skier doing handyman work for a single mom. A fun bachelor auction has six men up for bids offering adventure or services. Mardie was "given" Jett so he could get her older home up to par. One thing leads to another and we have a romance. I really enjoyed their history and shared past event that seemed to humble him, slightly. Great, sweet read. My copy was given by Netgalley for my honest review.

4.5 starts! In Grey's Saloon, Marietta, they're holding their first ever bachelor auction and this is one of six books concerning the bachelors up for sale. I've enjoyed them all! The auction is to raise money to help Molly Dekker pay for her eleven year old son, Josh, to continue getting the medical treatment he needs after a fall on Copper Mountain has left him in a wheelchair.

The first bachelor to be auctioned was Jett Casey - local hero, gold medal winning Olympic skier, hunk and a genuinely 'good' guy. Friends buy him to carry out much needed repairs on the home of Mardie Griffin - hardworking, bar tending, single Mum to Claire. Little did the friends know that Jett had been her secret crush whilst at school and had also come to her rescue after she was badly beaten up. She's fiercely independent and has little money to spare but her home does need repairing and between them, her friend and Jett convince her to let him help.

Jett never forgot Mardie. He remembers her from High School and from the night of that dreadful incident. He's kind, caring, jokey, fun and hot. She's reticent, sometimes jumpy, reluctant to trust but she does trust Jett. Their developing relationship is portrayed in a meaningful way, making it easy to relate to and empathise with them both as he woos her and she learns to love and trust again.

A fantastic addition to this series. It is great to keep meeting characters from the other books in the series and I still find it incredible that the books are written by different authors but work so well together as a cohesive unit, making this one of my favourite romance series set somewhere I'd now like to visit to see if it is truly as beautiful as portrayed!

Thanks to the author and publishers, too, for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the story between these characters. How they met in the past to how they meet again now is a sweet story, and the author does a great job of making you love the two of them. It's a great quick and fun read!

This is the third book that I have read in this series.

I liked that both characters were honest with themselves and each other and there was great dialog because of it! They had come together in the past under a horrible circumstance but Mardie especially was able to move on and grow. Jett was a big star but knew that he needed his family and then Mardie to keep him humble and down to earth. They were both great characters and even better when they got together.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I will post my review on Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon.

What a Bachelor Needs is the fourth in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series. I've loved other books by Kelly Hunter and was looking forward to reading her addition to the Bachelor Auction series. One of my favorite romances to read is one where the protagonists have a shared history and we get to see their relationship shift and change.

Mardie and Jett went to high school together and live very different lives. Mardie is a single mom just trying to make a life for herself and her daughter, with no time for love. Jett is a champion skier living a very different lifestyle. Mardie's friend, Ella buys Jett in the auction and gifts him to her for the week as her handyman.

I enjoyed reading Mardie and Jett's story, seeing how they develop their relationship and act on their mutual attraction.

Single mom Mardie Griffin has had it tough, she works like crazy and barely makes ends meets; she has no time for romance. Of course like that will deter her meddling best friend Ella Grace (if you love the Marietta Series you remember her from What a Bride Wants) from bidding on a man who is offering one week of handyman services.

Jett Casey remembers Mardie from a few years ago when he wished he could have helped her, now he gets a chance to help her despite her objections thanks to her meddling friend.

Mardie gradually opens up to Jett and they form a relationship. Jett knows Mardie has been seriously hurt in the past so he is willing to take things as slow as she wants to take them. I absolutely loved how Jett so easily fell Mardie and her little daughter Claire.

The characters were great and despite his very easygoing and laidback attitude, Jett is like the sweetest guy. Despite all her previous traumas, Mardie is still making a go at her life and giving her daughter everything she needs. The easy way the characters were with each other really made their story believable.

What a Bachelor Needs is another great addition to the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series. Jett and Mardie are a great couple with a natural chemistry and brought everything I could ask for from a romantic short read.

"There must always be flirting."

Light, sweet, sexy and touching plus a good dose of cute injected by Mardie's little girl and humour from Jett's brothers, What a Bachelor Needs is one of those reads that just leaves you in a happy place with a smile firmly in place.

"Sometimes it's about finding my way home."

So we are back with the bachelor auctions,This is the fourth book in the bachelor auction series.

In this book we meet single and stubborn mum Mardie Griffin she has this rather run-down old house you may even call it an antique ..... and its in great need of fixing. and it gets just in the form of her saviour Jett Casey who helped her in a time of great need.

And when Mardie's friends decide there going to acquire Jett’s services at a bachelor auction and of course send him to fix up her house, Mardie has to set aside her mistrust of men and let him in.....

Jett Casey is an Elite athlete and it shows, he has the world at his very feet and no desire for stability at all. But then again there’s this one woman he has never ever forgotten and if he can help make her safe this time, maybe she will stop haunting him.... or will she?

Surely it can’t be that difficult to work for her without anything hands on .....

a well written fast paced cute romance story with a great twist to it,

I was so drawn to sexy Jett yes he has that devil may care attitude but underneath everything he was a hot sweetie who wants nothing else but to protect Mardie at all costs which he does so well.

Fourth in the series of Montana born bachelors and I am still loving these storys, delightfully sweet romances that just leave you feeling happy when your done with them .

Maddie Griffen is hard working single mom, a fairly new home owner of a true fixer upper. Marie works at Grey's saloon were the bachelor auction is being held , so she has a birds eye view of all the happenings . Her girlfreind wants to buy a bachelor to support the fundraising cause and asks Mardie for her suggestion, for Mardie there is no one else except Jett Casey, sexy Olympic skier and winner and someone who helped her out previously at a very low point in her life.

Jett gladly volunteered his services for the auction, on offer a backwoods ski excursion for a group of four, with an alternate plan due to recent injury of a week of handyman service. The bidding was fast a furious and Mardie freind wins Jett , now the hard part getting Mardie to agree to accept Jett's services.

Mardie was reluctant to say the least but she finally caves and the next week is filled with Jett coming to her home doing the handiwork but more importantly building a lovely relationship , accepting of Mardie's choices and her daughter; gaining her full trust.

Lovely , lovely romance, these two are wonderful together.
I can not recommend this series enough, they just leave you happy!

This was another great book in the series although I have not read them in order you don't really need to. Ms. Hunter does a phenomenal job developing all of the characters and background scenery for this book. From the beginning, you could see the friendship developing, then the love between Jett and Mardie. I love the way of Jett's feelings for little Claire come to part. (I love a man that "Gets" little ones.)
Jett's feelings for Mardie and she for him as well, started when they were still in high school although they never followed through with their feelings. When he found her in the alley after being assaulted by her now ex husband, his feelings of responsibility and guilt are well portrayed. Mardie asked him not to interfere because her ex's family had a lot of pull in the community, and she was afraid for Jett as well as herself if Jett did anything to help her.
I absolutely love this series. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Spin off with Jett's siblings????
Thank you for reading my review.

5 out of 5 stars!! Mardie's life might not be grand, but it is her own and she's proud of what she has accomplished. However, when her friend purchases Jett for her as a handyman for a week from the local bachelor auction, Mardie freaks out a bit. It's not that Jett isn't nice, because he is. It's not that he can't help her, because her home can definitely use the work. It's just that Jett is the one man who she has had a longtime crush on, and is the man who saved her from that frightening night years ago. Now Mardie's scared to loose herself to the one man who could hurt her and possibly loose her heart too.

This fast-paced novel keeps its readers on their toes just as much as Jett keeps Mardie on hers. Fun, heartwarming, and intense it was entertaining from beginning to end. I loved Jett, Mardie, Claire, Jett & Mardie's relationship, and the plot! In truth, there isn't one bad thing I could say about the novel. They are a wonderful pair!

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for a fast-paced contemporary romance!!

This has been my favorite in this series by far! Mardie and Jett knew each other through school and when her friends buy him at the auction - it doesn't take long for this waitress and athlete to realize their feelings for each other. I enjoyed Hunter's writing style and pace of this book.

Mardie and Jett, a sparkling and high energy combination, shone in this Bachelor Auction story. Mardie is a single mother working as a waitress. Jett is a skiing World Champion, golden boy. But they have a history that is incredbily painful, one that only they know about.

Mardie is back home in Marietta, raising her daughter, poor but rich in friendship and spirit. Once broken, now whole, she exudes a "I refuse to be a victim" mentality that infuses the book with a sense of strength. Jett saw her at her lowest and gave her the strength to get back up. Now, he sees a survivor, a wonderful mother, and someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Filled with wonderful secondary characters - Reese, Seth, and Ella to name a few - who add a great deal to the storyline and to the feel of Marietta, this book has something going for it. It's the little things like Seth being there for his baby brother Jett or Reese looking out for Mardie. The feeling is warm and tender.

What a Bachelor Needs is a bittersweet ride that just worked.

Jett Casey is a sexy skier recovering from an injury. He is offered up at a bachelor auction for his ability to use power tools. He is charming, sexy and easy going...and very used to getting what he wants. And he wants a life with Mardi Griffin and her baby girl. He is patient to the core and comes from a wonderful, supportive and loving family. Mardi is a single mother that knows life will be hard raising her daughter on her own but she is prepared to work hard and do all she can for her daughter. As Jett works on her house, he also works on winning her heart, This is a nice story of love and moving on and learning to trust. Jett is sexy and sweet and you will fall in love with him.

Oh, I have some things that Jett Casey can nail...

Two years after helping Mardie Griffen at her worst, Jett Casey is back in Marietta and on auction. Offering up his handyman services or a ski retreat to the highest bidder, he's not expecting to end up helping Mardie fix up her old, rundown house...or finding that this time around, helping her isn't the only thing he wants to do.

Jett is my favourite bachelor of this series so far! Flirty, fun Jett, who is sweet and a little devious, makes for a great hero to Mardie's brave, fighter heroine and I loved the chemistry these two had. Mardie is a little broken, but doesn't come across as a wilting flower and I enjoyed the way she took what she wanted, but had enough pride to say no -- and enough confidence to say yes.

The love runs a little 'insta-lovey', which I suspect may be an issue for some, but to me it was just another cute aspect to a story I throughly enjoyed reading. The pay-off is there in this one too, with a great epilogue to make even the hardest heart melt just a smidge.

Now, did I mention I have some work for Jett? ~ 4.5 stars
