I love this series of military men. Sharon Hamilton captures different couples uniquely so that it doesn't feel the same.

This book focuses on TJ who is an extraordinary womaniser and frankly comes across as a total arrogant chauvinist at first. His best friend and fellow SEAL is killed alongside him in combat and his dying wish is to take care and love his wife Shannon. I felt their consequent connection was too quick but this became part of their story. Enjoyable read.

Seal’s Promise was an interesting read from start to finish. Special Operator T.J. Talbot was a fun loving clown of a guy. Until, the last mission went astray and his friend with his last dyeing breath had T.J. promise to take care of his wife and unborn child. It was a promise that T.J. refused to break.
Shannon Moore was excited and actually waiting for the return of her husband when the knock at the door turned her life upside down. However, with the life she carries as a reminder of her dead husband she fights to get balance back in her life, even more so when T.J. shows up to make sure that she does.

Emotional and interesting and keeps you on your toes!! TJ is a sexy bad ass Navy SEAL and Frankie his BFF and brother in his SEAL team. TJ has a lot of demons in his past. Shannon is Frankie's bride and wife and now she is pregnant. Being sent on a mission that their team does not all come back from. TJ has a lot of obstacles but this read is awesome. I have not read the others in this series, but it was emotionally jam packed. The writing is good and descriptive. So worth the read!

This is part of the SEAL Brotherhood series but can be read as a stand alone. However, I think the set is much more enjoyable when you know the characters from the previous books since they are an integral part of each story. This book starts off with the wedding of Frank and Shannon. However, this story is not about Frank but about TJ and Shannon. While there are many books out there with the best friend falling for his buddy's widow, this one was a bit different. As Frank was dying, he made TJ promise him that he would look out for Shannon. The only problem, TJ and Shannon don't even like each other. I really enjoyed watching the characters evolve in their friendship and then later into a relationship, while still maintaining their promise to Frank. This was a great entry into the series featuring hot SEALS, suspense and definitely romance. Can't wait for the next one.

SEAL romance is my favorite kind of romance. I just love when these big, bad boys fall hard. It is a wonder to see them come to terms with that side of their personalities. In this romance, we get a lot in the way of people coming to terms with things they never expected. As this is #8 in a series, you should know that you don't need to read the others if you get this one. These SEALS are friends, but previous plots don't play a part in this story. This book is primarily a romance but it has a suspense plot that kicks in about 80% through.

Shannon and T.J. have a hate you on first sight relationship. Although, T.J. really didn't hate Shannon, he just enjoyed annoying the hell out of her. Shannon married T.J.'s best friend, Frankie. Frankie is killed in action and leaves Shannon a 6 month pregnant widow. Frankie also made T.J. promise to take care of her and the baby. It seems that Frankie knew that these two had been striking sparks and he wanted them together, if he couldn't live.

T.J. is a product of the foster system, a loner and loyal to his SEAL family, the only family he has ever known. He also man enough to admit that he wanted what Frankie had found with Shannon. He just didn't want it with Frankie dead. T.J. has a lot of unresolved issues regarding family and has to work through them to be the man that Shannon deserves.

I have had the pleasure of reading many books by Sharon Hamilton but this is the first time iv been given the honour of reviewing for her. Before I even started this book I new there was a certain calibre to this book before even opening it.

Special Operator T.J. Talbot had been watching from a distance as his best friend married the one woman he loves. He was raised in and out of the foster care system which very nearly ruined his chance to become a SEAL, He just figured that his Happily Ever After would never come. But then Death comes knocking not at his door but his best friends it plays an extremely heart wrenching trick on him and he winds up being the man’s father confessor, where he goes and makes a promise to the dying SEAL to look after his wife and baby. 

Shannon Moore is so grateful for the bundle of joy her unborn child, even though she is a constant reminder of the very man who no longer lives. She is just so not ready for any attention from the community where she lives, especially from him.... T.J. She’s made up her mind to honour her fallen husband by giving her whole being to the child that he has left behind. 

Recovering from his wounds, Talbot is plagued by the sheer depth of the very wounds that he still carries deep inside him, as now he is trying to perform the hardest mission of his life one he wishes he was never given. Pushed away at every single turn, he is struggling but he also understands his promise might not be able to be fulfilled. He has never wanted to take what was never his or given to him in the first place. 

But what starts out as an tragedy turns in to a heart-warming love story. As it begins to bloom and grow. When Shannon and the baby are in grave danger, he will never ever give up fighting for the very family that he knows he was meant to have and love forever.

This book brought me a heap load of emotions I was on a serious roller-coaster happy sad anxious nervous hot then scared ….. This story line is so deep so worthy and so real of today and what horrid things are going on in this world. The characters in this book are so real you eat breathe and sleep exactly what they do whilst you read this book its like your a part of them or watching this book play out as a seriously awesome action/romantic movie.

When we first meet TJ I was unsure how I felt about him but I soon warmed up to him when I seen why he was that way, he is a deep man with a so much terror surrounding him then he loses his best friend and his world comes crashing in feeling a new pain one he has never felt before.... like a part of his soul gets ripped out, Then there is his promise and his love for Shannon.

Shannon wow what an amazing stand up lady she thinks she has everything and then its ripped so cruelly away from her, war has such a wicked effect especially to those who are left behind to pick up the pieces,to carry on with life. Which is all Shannon wants to do, without help especially from the sexy TJ ,she is so not going to be apart of this promise. I found her stubborn yet resilient she has a great heart even though she has a world of pain surrounding her every waking moment she is a courageous lady.

I also loved Shannon's In Laws they were so sweet and touching through out the book they played a very special part in bringing these two together forever.

I just have to share my most favourite part from the book it had me in tears this little poem TJ wrote for the baby its so so sweet.

May you touch dragonflies and stars,
Dance with Fairies and talk to the moon.
May you grow up with love and gracious hearts, And people who care. Welcome to the world, little one.
Its been waiting for you. We've been waiting for you.

Cue the sobs isn't it heart-warming and heart wrenching at the same time.

Sharon Hamilton is such an awe inspiring author I so cannot wait for more of this series as I have my eye on a few of TJ Hot friends.
