The Cinderella Princess was a playful short that came with a prince, an American commoner, and glass slipper and dreamy carriage as well. This charming story told the tale of a man and woman who found love in the strangest of ways. Clean chemistry and sweet romance guarantee that this book will be a happily ever after hit for the true romantic.

Reality Television. It’s everywhere these days. Even a Royal Family member is taking part in one… will wonders never cease?

Prince Lucas, the youngest prince of picturesque country of Alvernia, is considered the bad boy prince – always out late, partying with the most beautiful women, doing things princes should know better about not doing in public. Or so it seems on the surface.

Emily knows that men just cannot be trusted to stick. Marriage is for anyone else, not for her, she will never be gullible enough to trust her fate to a man. Her job as an ad executive is enough for her. And right now that job is to make certain that Prince Luc behaves and finds his future princess, on air, on schedule or else.

She didn’t expect to be charmed by Luc, in spite of her declarations of never needing happily ever after. He was prepared to do his duty or be disowned by his family so finding a princess to marry was his fate, even if he wished that the lovely, bossy American would put herself on that list of prospective brides.

The Cinderella Princess is the first of four new tales in the Royal Holiday series. This is a charming story of a Prince who is not at all like his public image. And a woman who is charmed, in spite of herself, by the true man behind the legend of bad boy Prince Luc. This novel is a short read so I really don’t want to give too much away – the synopsis pretty much gives you the heart of the story. Early on in the story we are made aware of just how not bad Luc really is. He has a heart as huge as his country and the way that he takes care of the children in his country is pure gold. It didn’t take me more than a chapter or two to fall in love with Prince Lucas. I’m betting you would too.

If you enjoy a love story, with Princes and Princesses and happily ever afters – you’re going to love The Cinderella Princess. Don’t always believe the press, look behind the headlines and get to know a true prince in this story. It gets a 4 outta 5 on my rating scale. I recommend this one for anyone who simply wants to fall in love and live happily ever after.

Who doesn't want to be a princess? I mean, other than the paparazzi, what are the downsides? I love that Emily is a no nonsense type of lady. The shell her past creates is believable. Somehow I knew that the hero, Luc, couldn't be all bad. I appreciated the author's reasoning for why he acts the way he does. The chemistry between the two was obvious. I liked that the ending added a bit of realism in this HEA story.

The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone is a sweet romance, with a reality TV theme that closely resembles The Bachelor television show. So if you are a fan of the series, you will absolutely love this book.

The bachelor in this story is Prince Lucas of Alvernia, and he must find a wife of royal descent, in order to keep his title, his money and the foundation he established to help children in need. Unfortunately, due to his shenanigans, many of the single princesses, baronesses and countesses, want no part of his quest for a wife. So the advertising company associated with the show's production, sends in their most accomplished closer, Emily Rodgers, to make the show a success and find a wife for the prince. A prince and a commoner, who would have thought they would be each others soul-mates.

This is a sexy short story that is extremely easy to enjoy. To begin with, I really liked the cover. Not only is it pretty, it is also beautifully royal. Secondly, the plot is totally engaging and I found myself cheering for Emily and Lucas to find a way to be together, without Lucas losing everything. Lastly, all the characters are likeable, fun and well-described. Overall, a solid read.

This is first book that I have ever read by this author. I really liked it!

The Cinderalla Princess was a new take on reality television something that is very common these days. Emily had a certain time to find prince Luc a bride but she had to be royal. Emily is a workaholic and gets the job done (like always) but finds that may be at great expense to herself. Luc is not the man he is portrayed to be which makes him all the more enduring. I also liked her BFF and her new husband.

The story wrapped up nicely with no hurt feelings and HEA.

I will also post my review on Facebook and Twitter.

3.5 stars. This is a cute, easy read that goes exactly as you’d expect it to. If you like a bit of made-up royalty, then you should enjoy this.

Full of flirting and a slow-building bond between the main characters, with the romance level never getting hotter than a kiss or two, this is light-hearted, easy-reading fun. With a successful, independent heroine and a hero with a really mushy softer side, as well as a bit of a bad-boy edge, it’s cute and quick and enjoyable. The ending is adorable.

Emily Rodgers is an ad executive that's been sent to the small European nation of Alvernia for damage control on a reality show entitled The Search for Cinderella. This isn't exactly her field but her boss' wife is the head of the production company behind the show and what her boss' wife wants, she gets, even if that means having her husband's employees pulling double duty. Emily's main reason for agreeing is the dream of finally being made partner, something that's been long postponed by her boss. She's a team player and she'll do her best to fix whatever needs to be fixed...but then she meets Prince Luc.

His Royal Highness Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimir von Rexburg is the youngest child in his family, making him neither the heir or the spare, and has been pressured by his father to find a wife. He's agreed to take part in this reality show that lines up royalty, a pre-requisite as far his father is concerned, deemed suitable to be his wife. If he isn't engaged in a few weeks, he'll be stripped of his title and his allowance, something he wouldn't really care about, but the money he receives goes to something far more important than the parties, dalliances, and vices he's been accused of engaging in for far too many years.

When Emily first encounters Prince Luc, she's already made up her mind about what kind of person he is, but then realizes just how wrong she is when he shares with her a secret he's been keeping. She encourages him to use that secret to help bolster his reputation and to help bring in more good PR for the show. However, Luc refuses, and Emily complies with his wishes. As she does her job of finding better royalty for Luc to take on dates, they begin to develop feelings for one another. But Emily is a commoner and Luc has always put duty first. Are Emily and what they have worth sacrificing everything Luc has?

The Cinderella Princess is the first novella in the Royal Holiday series by Melissa McClone and was a super quick read. It was a sweet read about a no-nonsense workaholic of an ad executive and a charming prince, but both are more than what they seem. The tale of a royal and a commoner is something that's been written about many times over and isn't as foreign as it used to be (i.e. Charles and Diana, William and Kate). The idea of an actual prince agreeing to take part in a search for his royal wife may seem far-fetched but Luc's reasons show him as a sensitive and self-sacrificing type of young man.

The pacing was fast and while this wasn't a case of insta-love, the speed in which Luc and Emily fell in love does seem a bit far-fetched. But then, this is a novella and sometimes, things have to go much faster because of the limited number of pages. At least everything didn't develop in just a day or two and the fact that they were together all the time can be considered a factor as well. If you're looking for something short but sweet, The Cinderella Princess would be a good pick. It'll make you want your very own prince to sweep you off your feet, but then who's never wished for that before? ^.^ Four stars! ♥

Modern day fairytale story, where the prince is looking for his forever match via reality television.
The story is fun and entertaining. For the first time, someone, that being Emily, is giving it straight to Luc. No finesse, not what he would expect to hear, but the simple truth of the matter. The sparks are flying, the banter is constant, and as Emily and Luc get to know each other, while looking for a wife for him, Emily finds out that there's so much more into this prince than tabloids are saying. And maybe what they are saying are not true at all.
While predictable, this story is pleasant and enjoyable. It is a clean, lively, and witty romance, a look behind of making of the reality television, and the awkward situations with dysfunctional families. Perfect, quick read for the Easter holidays for the romance lovers

RATING 4.5 STARS

The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone is book one in the Royal Holiday series.

Doesn’t every girl dream of meeting her prince charming, getting swept off her feet, having that glass slipper fit her perfectly? Well, not Emily Rodgers. Her father abandoned her and her mother when she was little for another woman. Work is Emily’s life. She is determined to never allow herself to depend on someone else for survival. If she can accomplish this one task for the ad agency she works for, she can get the promotion of partner she has been working towards and sacrificing for for seven years.

His Royal Highness Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimic von Rexburg, or Prince Luc, is the youngest of the royal children of the King and Queen of Alvernia. He is known as the wild child. The one that can’t settle down, the one that is always in the tabloids. So his father has given him an ultimatum. He will participate in a reality show to find a wife, a wife who has a royal background, a wife fitting for a royal family. If he doesn’t choose a wife, he will be disowned and cut off. The show isn’t going well, though. There have been no suitable candidates. None of the princesses want a second date. So Emily Rodgers is sent in to save the show and find him a wife.

“I have a feeling if anyone can find me a princess bride, it’ll be you, Emily Rodgers.”

When Emily first met Prince Luc, he seemed to be everything she imagined him to be from the tabloids. But she should know more than anyone else not to believe everything you read. She soon discovered that Prince Luc was not who she thought he was at all. There was so much more to him. She couldn’t let herself be attracted to him, she has a job to do, find him a princess wife, get her promotion, end of story. But maybe that’s not the way this story is supposed to end.

“He’d been searching for a princess, but Cinderella was right here in his arms.”

Prince Luc is immediately smitten with Emily. But he is required to marry someone with a royal background. Otherwise he will lose everything. But the attraction is something he can’t ignore. And all it takes is one kiss to know that walking away from Emily Rodgers might not be so easy.

“What am I going to do about you?”

This was a lovely, sweet story of finding Mr. Right when you least expect it, when you think what you want and need is within your grasp, only to find out that isn’t what you need at all. It’s a story that keeps our dreams alive of finding our own prince charming and fairy tales coming true.

Very enjoyable read and the start of a great new series of books. The storyline of this book is very cute and the author did a fantastic job with it. I loved Luc and Emily and felt their characters were perfect for each other. Great book that I would definitely recommend.

Emily Rodgers is all-business--she gets things done. When she's sent to straighten out the reality show starring Prince Luc, she's ready to battle the "wayward" prince to set him on the right path for the show, and to earn her partnership. But the bad boy persona is not all it seems. Getting to the heart of the matter reveals a lot of good, unveils a lot of truths and secrets, and finds him worthy of any girl's, er princess's heart. Too bad the heart he seems to have taken is hers--it would mean him giving up his title. He chooses a princess for a wife to honor his commitment to his family and the show, but does he marry the princess? She's lost her prince, given up her job, and ready to start her life anew. When a carriage approaches the hotel, Emily finds a fairy tale come true--her Prince has come, and he wants her! He's willing to give her his heart and forgo his title for love! The best kind of Happily Ever After!

A beautifully written, heartwarming story of love I highly recommend!

This was a cute quick novella. I liked the characters and I felt their chemistry was real.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance. It's a great read for anyone looking to be distracted for a few hours from the reall world.

Despite concerning royalty of various imaginary countries, this story was easy to follow. It had a kind of The Bachelor/The Selection-esque background to it, though this wasn't the main story.

Our male lead, Luc, seemed at first glance to be very typical and predictable; however, he had a side to him that was surprising, and a more original background that explained how he had become the way he was. I enjoyed getting to figure him out alongside Emily, our main female lead.

Emily was delightful. She had a subplot to her aside from the romantic plot and was a strong-headed character with a lot to say. She was very successful and driven with her career, but also had a backstory that had shaped her personality. The moments where we saw her softer side made me fall in love with her, too.

Though there were no absolutely spectacular moments or novelties to this book, this was well-written and I recommend it for someone looking for something light and fun to read.

Emily has a dream, not of meeting a Prince Charming but instead becoming a partner in the advertising firm she has worked for years. The only way to do it is if she finds Prince Lucas, a playboy who has been in rehab, a Princess Bride via a TV show. Plus she thinks men are jerks and not worth her time after the things her father did to her mother. That is until she actually meets Lucas and is blown away not just by his looks and charm but also a few secrets he has. Emily wows Lucas with actually listening to him and seeing what he is looking for in the relationship he has to have on the screen. But neither realize while doing all this, they are creating their own romance off the screen as well. When it comes to the final show will there a new Princess for the country? Or will what Lucas proposes screw it all up and and make Emily realize why she didn't believe in love at all.

The Cinderella Princess is a perfect modern day twist on a classic fairytale. Emily has seen the first hand damage that love can do and vows not to let herself be a victim of the pain. Meeting Luc was never on her radar. Loved this story. It touches the heart and proves dreams can come true when you least expect them to. Was given this book for an honest review.

It was cute story about Alvernia Prince Alec looking for a princess through reality show. an american Emily who had to fix the situation. Alec seems like he is a playboy and a trouble maker but Emily finds out he is a warm, prince charming. But only problem is they fall in love and it becomes problem for both. I did like relationship between Emily and Alec. it was surprising to find Alec had different mind as far as his marriage and love. But it had a happy ending.

Playboy- check, fun-check heart of Gold- what in the world no way that is not something any one who knows Luc would describe him to have. Emily, is hardworking and is ready to be partners when she has one more task at hand or so she thinks.
I LOVED this book the storyline is amazing, its a real pager tuner, I had a hard time putting the book down. While the story is short the storyline is not its amazing and well written for sure. The chemistry with the characters was subtle but was jumping off the pages at every turn, to me that makes not only a great book but a great author to do something so hard but make it look so easy.

What an awesome take on a favorite fairy tale! Emily was a workaholic with a painful past. Prince Luc was his country's "bad boy" and in need of a royal bride. An unlikely pair....or are they? The romance was so sweet in this story. Prince Luc was sigh worthy almost from word one. Emily was a fabulous female character. Strong, independent, with just enough vulnerability to keep her from being an ice queen. There is, of course, a happy ending, just when you believe it can't possibly work out. This was a huge hit for me, I loved every second.

What woman wouldn't want a handsom over the top sexy Prince Charming? In this laugh out loud romance the answer will surprise you.
A totally enjoyable read that will keep you turning the pages with delightful charcaters and a royally entertaining story line.
Romance readers, don't miss this book. It will make you swoon!

Every once in a while a frog really does turn out to be a prince. The Cinderella Princess made a believer out of me. I was all ready to not like Prince Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimir von Rexburg since royalty and billionaires who feel entitled (yes, I know that they are popular right now) are not my favorite type of male main characters. However, in Melissa McClone’s capable hands, he truly did become princely. If he had owned a cowboy hat he would have been perfect! Nick is pretty perfect, too. Dylan is definitely a real frog.

Needless to say, but I will anyway - I love this novella. Short enough to read in an evening, it is a traditional sweet romance with a few interesting twists that cause anguish for the character before the happily ever after. Included are several female characters, Emily, Addie and Maria-Therese. I would want as friends. Caring, hardworking, honest and loyal, they are more alike than different no matter their social position. It’s a fun uplifting read.

The Cinderella Princess is the first book in the Royal Holiday series from Tule Publishing and I enjoyed reading it.

Emily Rodgers is not happy that she got stuck babysitting a reckless prince but she'll do anything in order to finally become a partner in the advertisement company she works in for the last 10 years.

Prince Lucas is a magnet for scandals and his dad gave him an an ultimatum—find a wife on a reality TV show or be disowned. The show isn't working well and it seems like Lucas will have a hard time finding a wife in the short amount of time he has on the showe but as soon as Emily arrives to help the show she turns things around and now it seems like maybe Lucas will be able to find a bride on the show.

Emily isn't looking for happily ever after and after all the stories she read about prince Lucas he's the last person she should be attracted to but as soon as they meet the chemistry between them is out of this world but Lucas' bride must be nobility and he's torn between his royal obligations and his feeling towards Emily.

I enjoyed reading about Lucas and Emily, especially when we get to know the real Lucas and not his public persona. I enjoyed reading how much Lucas cared for all the kids that his foundations helps.

If you read The Honeymoon Prize we got to read a little bit about Nick and Adalaide since Nick is Lucas bodyguard and Adalaide works with Emily. I always enjoy reading about characters from other books and getting to see what's new with them.

The Cinderella Princess was a very enjoyable read and I read it in a few hours during a flight- I just couldn't stop reading it.

Book Review: The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone

The first book of the “Royal Holiday” series, “The Cinderella Princess” by Melissa McClone combines reality TV and royalty.

The premise is simple; find a bride for the youngest prince from a small European kingdom via a reality TV show.

Told in a whispery voice reserved for those nights when our parents tuck us in to bed and read us a fairy tale, “The Cinderella Princess” lives up to its titular character’s reputation of “one who unexpectedly achieves recognition or success after a period of obscurity and neglect.” Though, you will be surprised who Cinderella refers to in the story.

The book more than lived up to the allusions and tropes usually associated with Cinderella. For that, I would have given it 5 stars. But, I have to take down one star because an Edward VIII sacrifice was not needed nor warranted.

For everything they had gone through, the hero and heroine have earned their happily ever after fair and square. They did not need another event to prove their love to each other.

The Cinderella Princess is Rated PG 13 due to some adult situations. There are no sex scenes in this book.

The title indicates a fairy tale, and that's exactly what this is. A business woman is hired to make a royal heir ("so far down the line of succession he [was] a liability.").

Luc seems to be a drunken carouser but he has the heart of gold that every fairy tale needs.

I guess this won't be much of a spoiler if I write that this is a sweet story ending in happily ever after.

If you adore stories involving a disillusioned, hard working, feisty female finding her HEA despite herself and obstacles along the way, this is a brilliant book for you!

Advertising executive, Emily Rodgers has been sent by her boss to help salvage his wife’s reality television show endeavouring to find a wife for a real life prince! If she’s successful she’s hoping to be made a partner in the business but if she fails she knows it will never happen. A philandering father has made it difficult for her to believe in love and HEA, so she is now a total workaholic, her first task is to find and retrieve the missing prince who has ditched his ill security team and disappeared off set. Their first encounter is hilarious!

Prince Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimir von Rexburg - better known as Luc - has a reputation for being a rake, he’s handsome, charming and hot. He’s already met some potential royal brides but so far none of them would dream of having a second date with him, let alone marrying him. He has just a few weeks to find himself a bride on the show or his father has threatened to disown and disinherit him. Time is not on the side of him or Emily’s and their mutual attraction really isn’t helping, even if Emily tries to deny it even exists! When she starts uncovering what he is really like, his charity work and relationship with ill children can it help change her view on him?

You’ll have to read this yourself to find out what happens but I’ll tell you now it does involve a glass slipper! I thoroughly enjoyed this light hearted, delightful romance. It is well written, has great characters and a lovely easy read to relax with. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Cinderella Princess was another great read that I received through Netgalley. It is the story of a prince, Luc, who is the youngest of his family but is tasked with protecting the honor of his family and suffers a great deal emotionally when it seems that the only person in his family that cares for him is his mother, despite having many brothers and sisters and a father, the king. Emily is an ad exec tasked with swooping in and saving the reality show that is tasked with finding Prince Luc a wife. So far the show has been boring and none of the titled or royal ladies he has had a first date are interested.

Emily arrives in Italy and there is instant chemistry between them despite her task of finding Luc a wife. Along the way she does her job and they get to be pretty good friends. They get to know each other personally and Emily is an excellent task master and has her hands full with saving the show and finding Prince Luc a wife. In the meantime she learns more about herself and Luc. The Cinderella Princess is a great story about sacrifice and finding your true self even when faced with hard decisions. The Cinderella Princess is the first in a new series, Royal Holiday, and I am looking forward to the entire series!

This book is the first in the short format contemporary romance series "Royal Holiday" This is a very loosely linked series, linked by theme. I would consider this book more correctly as one of a series from author Melissa McClone, as the secondary couple in this book are the hero and heroine from The Honeymoon Prize. I loved this book. The heroine, Emily, is an ad exec brought in to revive a reality show. The reality show star, is the prince in question Luc. Luc is required to find a princess bride. Emily does a fine job getting to know Luc and quickly finding him princesses for first dates. Luc, on the other hand, does a fine job trying out all the dates on Emily first.
I loved that the prince had a charity that was basically his day job. But he wants to keep his charity out of the reality tv show. I loved the ending of this book, Luc finds his Cinderella Princess.
I received a complementary book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I think it was well written, it had a good balance of everything. I do want to read other books in this series, I really read about how her two friends got together. I think the author does a good job of showing how these two characters fall in love for each other without forcing it as it feels on the TV reality show in the story. I love the ending and having it filmed for their future children, I think that was great. I just really liked it. I think there should be more characters who are willing to give up security and comfort for greater things. I wonder who Melissa McClone will write about next, but I hope I get to read it!

OH what fun this was to read! Lucas and Emily were absolutely perfect for each other!
OK, so Emily has no 'Prince Charming' dreams what so ever in her head. Her father up and took off on her and her mom when she was just a little girl. She doesn't believe in happily ever afters. She has her work and that's all she cares about. It's her companion. It's the only thing she's driven for. She just needs this one promotion to solidify her future. Cue .... our very own Prince! :) Lucas is an actual Prince! But charming would not be the word I would use to describe him LOl He's the wild-child of the family. The troublemaker. The one who just won't settle down. So daddy has to give him an ultimatum! Find a wife of royal decent or lose everything! And HEY ... do it on a reality show! (ok, ya'll can start laughing now because the cuteness has begun!) You would think that every princess out there would be falling at Luc's feet, but no, not so much. None of them want to even contemplate a second date. SO here comes Emily to the rescue. This is the chance of a lifetime that will surely mark Emily's future. The job of all jobs! But I'm pretty sure that falling for Luc is NOT what she had in mind as the save the day campaign LOL

This was an incredibly sweet story. It's about not giving up on your dreams and knowing when your 'present' dreams are not your 'destiny' dreams at all! It's about believing in the power of love!!

what woman doesnt want to be a princess and find thier prince. for Emily its not that simple her job is to help the prince find his princess. alot is on the line for both of them but what happens when they find themselves falling for each other? will they choose love over everything else? This story has been well written and i can picture myself right there through the highs and lows and startling revelations. Melissa has done a great job of making you feel like you know these characters and can be happy with the ending.

The Cinderella Princess (Royal Holiday #1) This is absolutely a wonderful read. Emily Rodgers is sent to Alvernia to save the reality tv show. She is a workaholic with family issues.
Prince Luc is the royal "bad boy" who needs to find his bride. His is handsome and of course charming. He has a few secrets of his own.
There are few twist and turns before there is the HEA but so woth the read.

The Cinderella Princess is a sweet story told well. I particularly liked Melissa McGlone's depiction of advertising executive Emily, who is a somewhat harried workaholic committed to saving the reality TV show she has been brought in to work on at the last minute. Her reward for success is a partnership she has been hoping to secure. Emily is the consummate professional torn between her duty and her strong attraction to Luc. Luc was not quite as convincing. Once minute he was being depicted as the playboy prince and the next as a caring philanthropist. I had difficulty imagining the two sides to the one man. Despite minor misgivings about Luc I enjoyed this story. It moves well, is generally feel good and while the outcome is predictable this book was a good read.

This is a fun, modern take on a fairytale. It's entirely unbelievable as all the best fairy stories are but somehow still manages to make us care about the characters and suspend our disbelief. If you want to be swept away for a few hours to a land where everything is rich and abundant then this book will make you feel happy ever after.

A great read with a feel of a sweet romance. Kisses that knock your socks off and two lovely people who discover what is really important in life.

I forgot how wonderful it is to read a Harlequin type romance. I truly enjoyed this book, no heavy, grossly described sex scenes, just romance. This story had it all, a prince, a love story, kids, and laughter. Don't get me wrong, I like a good sex scene in a book, but it has to add to the story, not be the whole book. This author proved there is a time and place for romantic storytelling. Sometimes you just want to lose yourself in a happy ever after story, this book did that for me. I look forward to more, hopefully the prince's widowed brother, maybe the rest of the family. It would be nice to check back on how the people are doing, even on how some minor characters are faring. So glad I choose it. Reviewed on Amazon & GoodReads

4 4.5 the shoe fits stars

I am a sucker for a Cinderella story!!! I don’t know if anyone else is aware but this series (Royal Holiday) is so different. Because each book in the series has a different author! So you never know what you are going to get as far as style (unless you’ve read the individual authors) I rarely ever change my reviews but this book inspired me to collect the next two in the line (of 4) therefore it cant possibly be just a 4. This book is a Cinderella meets the bachelor! Emily is in line for a promotion and if her TV show about Prince Lucas finding a princess and getting married takes off she is going to get promoted. But the Prince makes it difficult dragging his feet and not trying to swoon the princesses/countesses etc . Emily’s goal is to find Prince Luc’s best qualities and make everyone fall in love with him. But Luc has lived as the familys bad child for so long he looks like he wont be the best catch amongst social gossip circles. Emily sets Luc up on many dates but they appear awkward, quiet and not at all romantic. When she asks Luc about them he has such a way with words and her making her dance amongst the garden and kissing her shattering her whole world.

Emily learns that Luc has a foundation for children and my heart swelled seeing the kindness and humility that Luc shows the children and even has a little princess. As Emily falls for Luc she realizes she has no chance in marrying Luc because he is royalty and she is the total opposite of royalty.

And Emily finds Luc the perfect wife in every way. Princess MariaTherese was what he needed in a wife, what is country needed in a queen and what the people needed. Emily ends up broken hearted, jobless and the last thing that she hears is
Would you like a happily ever after with that kiss?

3.5 stars This is the first of a combined series of laypeople becoming involved one way or another with Royals. Each is written by different authors..so each has a distinctly different flavor. As the first, we have a very ambitious Ad executive stuck working for a company which keeps promising her a partnership... but never delivers. She is now stuck fixing a mess... a reality TV show of a Prince finding his Royal wife...yup.. like that is actually going to happen.

What does happen is a connection between this woman and the Royal... it is at first banter and pushing him to straighten up and fly right... then it blossoms into a real friendship with attraction. She sees the real him... not the persona his family has maintains... that he is a playboy, party boy who has no cares in the world...She sees a man who has mission to help others and he keeps it hidden for the good of the ones he helps. There are Princesses, dates and possible marriage material...although the real interest is between these two...
And what to do when life dictates one thing and the heart wants something unattainable....
This was a read which had some very lovely moments and was read as an escape during my workday... and it took me exactly where I wanted to go.

I am off to the next Royal Holiday book... and have a feeling I may start looking around the corner for my own Prince Charming :DDDD

Prince Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimic von Rexburg was on the hunt for his bride to be, his better half, his princess. The Royal Family of Alvernia was sick and tired of his happy-go-lucky party-all-night attitude, so they set an ultimatum for the prince. To find a princess who would be his fiance and marry him in two weeks, through a reality TV show. Great, just great! As if well-groomed princesses would want to get associated with the prince’s not-so-great reputation!

Enter Emily Rodgers, ad exec expert, extra-ordinaire. She’s a genius in the advertising scene. Whatever she touched, it turned to gold. Whatever TV show presented to her, its ratings sure would skyrocket to stardom. She’s the perfect guy/girl for Prince Luc’s reality show. Until they finally met each other. Until they kissed.. Until they imagined living in a fairytale. Until they realized, they don’t have any happily ever after.

This is a short, sassy read and a perfect bedtime story. The Cinderella Princess is Melissa McClone’s latest romantic offering and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to read it. Since Cinderella has always been my favorite Disney princess, I wasn’t disappointed with this latest modern retelling. Actually, I can see this book being turned into a movie, given the right director and actors and actresses to portray Prince Luc & Emily.

I enjoyed reading this book. It’s exactly the kind of book I would want to read when I want to get rid of stress or just daydream about my own prince. (Not that I’m looking for him, I’m already married to my King).

“He’d been searching for a princess, but Cinderella was right here in his arms.”

I recently began reading the Royal Holiday Series by Tule Publishing, which features short romances from different authors, but with a royal theme. The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone is the first one in the series and got me hooked on it from the start. While this story is a modern-day fairytale - do not read this, if you want the most realistic version of contemporary romance - it was set beautifully and the now. I love how the main female character, Emily Rodgers is not a weak character at all (a theme that repeats itself in this series and makes it even more appealing to me), instead she is a woman with her own career, her own ambition, and her own skills. She is not looking for a prince, yet finds him in Luc, who is as charming as he is wounded. While I would have read a longer story by this author, I am glad she kept it short, anything beyond the length of the book would have made it drawn out. Very nicely done!

The Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone was a cute story. Luc made such a bad first impression when he met Emily that I couldn't help but laughing out loud as I was reading. I enjoyed watching their love unfold while Emily was focused on helping Luc find his future wife. The entire concept of this story was a great one. Spoiler Alert: there were a couple of things I would have liked to read tho: 1. Luc renouncing his title in front of his parents and their reactions; 2. A wedding or a little more beyond where the story ended; 3. At least 1 sex scene. I feel that they can enhance the story and this one was a little too G rated for my personal preferences. Overall, I did enjoy the story and it's one I could see myself picking up again. I give this book 4 stars and look forward to more from this author.

Reading this book was like a waking dream. The story is not the most original, but it was still nice to read about Emily and Luc although for a few pages. Yes, my biggest gripe is the shortness of the novel, it would have been better more substance and more characterization in the characters.

Emily is a woman marked because of his father, a penitent philandering. For the behavior of the parent she does not have confidence in men and love.
Luc can seem like a spoiled prince devoted only fun but looks can be deceiving and after his reckless attitudes hides a generous and sensitive heart.
She finally be able to trust a man and he will be able to prove that "happily ever after" is possible?

The McClone still has a beautiful style, and if she had depth the history, perhaps I would have appreciated it more. I'd love to read more of her in the future but for now I recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a fairy tale for a moment and to those who are looking for light reading to pass an afternoon.

Who doesn’t love a fairytale with a romantic happily ever after???? Well, this girl does, and I was so excited to dive into the Royal Holiday series. This series is unique because each book is written by a different author. Book one is the Cinderella Princess!

Emily Rodgers is a very driven and ambitious ad executive. She comes from a broken home where her father left her mother for another women. Emily is jaded when it comes to true love, and chooses to focus on her career instead of her love life. She has worked her way up in her company and is promised a partnership, but she has to jump through some loops to get it. She ends up having to fly across the world to try an clean up a reality tv show fiasco. The show is about a Prince finding his royal princess, but his hard partying ways aren’t making things easy. Emily just has to fix things, and she will get her promotion.

His Royal Highness Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimic von Rexburg (what a name), or Prince Luc as he is known, is the youngest and wildest member of his family. He is far enough down the line in succession that he doesn’t have to worry about having any real responsibility. His father the king has decided that it is time for Prince Luc to settle down, and find a himself a royal wife or he will be cut off. So he sets him up for the reality tv show, but things don’t go as planned. None of the princesses what to date him, because of his terrible reputation. So, Emily shows up in his hotel room to save the day.

I loved the connection between these two characters. Their dialogue was fantastic, and they develop a real connection and attraction. Emily begins to see that Prince Luc is not the person the tabloids make him out to be. Emily fights her attraction to Prince Luc and sets out to try and find him a wife. Prince Luc is required to marry someone from a royal background or he will be cut off. Emily is not a royal, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Fate has a way of changing things sometimes.

“He’d been searching for a princess, but Cinderella was right here in his arms.”

Overall, I thought this was a perfect Cinderella fairytale. It was sweet, romantic and very very charming. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, and more from this author in the future.

I wasn’t sure how my psyche was going to take reading a true romance story. I have been reading so much paranormal and heavy romances, that I didn’t know how I was going to react to true, unadulterated romance. Well, my heart swelled and I shed a few tears but I made it through this amazing book about true love and Cinderella finding her Prince Charming.
First impressions are just wonderful things. And Emily’s first impression of Prince Luc is a hysterical. Hung over, naked and a woman’s voice making its way through his fog filled brain has him wondering just what he did last night and why there was a woman demanding he get up and get dressed. As he rolls over, as he sees the vision in front of him and as he goads this uptight, straight-laced demanding woman, he can’t but wonder what it would take to get her to relax and have fun.
Emily is a woman on a mission. It’s up to her to get the Reality TV show back on line after its star, Prince Luc, just disappeared. With no Princesses lined up to date the playboy, bad-assed Prince, she has her work cut out for her. The last thing that she needs is a stubborn, hung-over Prince being defiant and ignorant. Her job is on the line, her promotion is on the line and she will not allow this arrogant man to throw her off course.
As the story unfolds and you see just what kind of a man Prince Luc really is and you watch Emily fall in love with him, your heart breaks and a tear slips your eye. She’s not a Princess, she’s not royalty. He will lose his inheritance, his title; he will be disowned by the King if he doesn’t bring home a Princess Bride. She has to find him the perfect woman to stand by his side or he could lose everything that he worked so hard for. All this at the expense of breaking her own heart.
OMG, what an ending to this story. So much is revealed about who Emily and Luc really are and why they do what they do. And, I absolutely love strong, empowered woman that stand up for what they want and move forward in life with a purpose. Emily was that and so much more. The book actually took me by surprise with how much I enjoyed it and how entertained it kept me. There were humorous times, loving times and heart-breaking times. The story flowed from one scene to another without any breaks or hiccups. Lake Como and Alvernia were brilliantly described and the characters were brought to life.
With references to The Bachelor, a reluctant Prince, an adamant woman and a family that demands obedience, The Cinderella Princess had the perfect recipe for a true to life romance.

Trust issues, twisted families with black sheep, skeletons in closets? Oh yeah you will get a good dose of that right here. Emily Rodgers has worked damned hard for her company but has borne the burden of a thankless job for a while. When the chance to make partner comes up she is all on board to do whatever it takes, even if it means putting up with a spoiled brat, playboy, party animal, scandal-magnet royal. Prince Lucas Alexander Leopold Casimir von Rexburg of Alvernia has 2 weeks to clean up his act and find some princess who would be willing to marry him otherwise he must face being disowned by his father, the King of Alvernia. And that would be fine with him except Luc has been living a secret life and more than him, it is the work he does for sick children that will be affected. But Emily knows about the children and Luc doesn't want anyone to know about the charity and so it cannot be used as a selling point to attract a princess bride his father would approve of. And then he realizes he's in love with Emily and the feeling is mutual. But their future is doomed. So Emily must find him the perfect princess bride and give up her dreams of finding love and happiness with Luc.

A romantic modern Cinderella story. A prince to fall in love with an an ending that will bring a smile to your lips.

This story is about a modern day business woman trying to get a promotion at her place of work and her boss has told her if she pulls off this job he has given her to achieve then he will make her a partner. The job she has to do is to try and marry off a prince with a bad reputation on a reality TV show. Because of his terrible reputation, it makes it difficult for her to find enough royal women willing to go on a date with him - much less consider a royal wedding.

Along the way for finding Prince Luc dates she finds out that he is not at all like his reputation perceives and she sees him for the real person he is.

Needless to say, there are some good dates and some really bad dates with the "contestants" but eventually Prince Luc loses his heart to the right woman, he just has to win her over..

Melissa McClone's The Cinderella Princess is a wonderful launch for the Royal Holiday series. Emily Rodgers and Prince Lucas shine in this modern fairytale romance. The reality television show and all business Emily give a freshness to the story that kept me turning the pages. And I loved that we revisit with previous McClone characters, Nick and Addie.

While I wait for the next Melissa McClone book, I'll looking forward to the rest of the Royal Holiday series.

Tule publishing you have done it again you have picked another winner! Thank you NetGalley and Tule publishing for giving me access to Cinderella Princess by Melissa McClone, this was an amazing story! Emily is an ad executive working on an account for one of those reality TV shows, finding a bride for the prince. Luke is the youngest son of King Leopold. Luke is the family black sheep or so he wants his family and everyone else to think, but his father the king wants him to marry a royal and settle down.
Emily sees the side of Luke that he does not let many people see, he actually runs Dream Big Alvernia, a foundation that helps children. He uses his money that he gets through his family to fund the foundation however, his father the king threatened to cut him off unless he marries.

So Emily will help him find his princess's

I love the story, it really is a Cinderella story. Ms. McClone does a phenomenal job writing about her characters she brings emotions into it from beginning to end you will laugh you will cry.
Again, thank you NetGalley and Tule Publishing for giving me access to this book. In addition, for introducing me to another new author in Melissa McClone

★★★★★ I was hesitant to read this...mostly, I think, as I thought it may turn out to be cheesy. The whole Cinderella/Prince plot. But wow.. when I started reading, I just devoured it!! Couldn't put it down. It's the perfect short romantic story, The right amount of everything.. it was fast paced, and full without feeling rushed. Both characters were fun and amusing. Emily is an Ad executive, with a strong work ethic and just wants to get the job done. However, Prince Luc has other ideas. He was sweet and charming. The perfect hero in this story. This was the first book I have read by this author, and it won't be the last! I would to highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, fun fairy-tale romance.

A fun romantic read, with an enjoyable surprise twist ending, leading to the next in the series perhaps? I love that, as the author says, " the sexual tension in the book is that there isn't any sex" - although these characters certainly come close!

This book, I saw it on Netgalley and I instantly liked the cover. I also love the author, +Melissa McClone's, facebook giveaways so I gave this book a shot and I enjoyed it.

Emily Rogers is not disillusioned by life and knows that she does not need a man to make her life complete. She is strong and capable to do anything on her own, and right now, Emily had her sights set on becoming Partner in her firm.

Emily has done more than enough to earn the title of Partner, but the higher ups at work are making her jump through flaming hoops in order to get her rightful position.

In order to become Partner, Emily was given a new assignment but this recent assignment is torture for Emily since she is going to need all of her wits about her to find a wife for a real life prince.

Emily does not want to babysit a spoiled brat of a Prince, but she is determined to do this and achieve her dream of becoming Partner. Unfortunately, Prince Lucus disappears on the crew.

Prince Luc's name is a direct link to scandal. When the rumors associated with his son's name was too much, Luc's father put his foot down and made him an ultimatum. Either Luc got a wife or he would be disowned.

Since Luc is a Prince it is customary for him to marry a Princess and the way for him to do that is to make a television show about his quest for love. A few days into the show Luc could not take the shallowness and escapes to a place that he finds is safe. Unfortunately, it was not safe for long when the producers of the show sent an uptight American after him.

Luc knows that he must marry a Princess to escape his father's wrath and to save himself from being disowned, but the fiery American sets his heart and body on fire. Too bad she wants nothing to do with him outside of finding him a bride. Can Luc change Emily's mind? Find out in the first installment of the Royal Holiday Series, The Cinderella Bride.

This is my first book by +Melissa McClone and I enjoyed it. This book reminded me of a young adult book. It was sweet and cute and missing many of the qualities needed to make it into an adult book.

Emily was firm but, fair. She heard many rumors of Prince Lucas and was judging him as well. But after she got to know him, she did not stick with the world's bad opinion of him, she actually found out the truth about him. I suspected the truth early on in the book and I was happy to have my suspicions confirmed.

This is a surprising thing since based on Emily's background, she is supposed to make her distrustful of all men, but I am glad that she was a bigger person than that.

I fell in love with Prince Lucas from the very beginning. He was so charming and got on Emily's nerves. When he visited one of his princesses, my heart just melted.

The love story between Lucas and Emily is well written but still reminds me of a young adult book instead of an adult one. It was sweet, cute and adorable and I want to read the rest of the story.

HAPPY READING!

Quick, clean romantic read. Emily must save a dying reality tv show starring a real-life prince who's looking for a real-life princess. Emily and Luc's love story was sweet and so much fun to read. Luc's family treated him terribly. He truly was the spare heir that they tossed around for no reason. It was nice to see Emily let go of her pre-conceived notions and open herself to love. I'm so excited to find out that there are more books in this series.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Tule Publishing, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is quite a sweet book that is very clean with just some sexual innuendo and a little kissing.

Emily works hard to get where she wants and currently she wants to be named as a partner. But that title has so far eluded her no matter how hard she tries.

Prince Luc is the youngest son who has also been named as the trouble maker and scapegoat. He is resigned to his reputation, but must marry or lose the money he needs for his foundation.

Both have had hardship in their lives and find themselves inexplicitly drawn to each other right from the beginning.

Its a heartwarming cinderella story re-woven with the required HEA.
