This is perfect! My daughter has recently started her reading journey, so I have added a few books to my ipad mini for her to read on kindle when on the go. The cover is so cute and I love the colors / illustrations!

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Up, UP, and Away. From the relatability of a story coming from a grandpa to his grandkids, to the very detailed history of aviation while not feeling bogged down with excessive words or details. The book keeps it fun with colorful and detailed pictures. I especially loved the recap page at the end to connect all we read nicely together. I highly recommend this book for any lovers of aviation young and old.

First off, I can really tell how passionate this author/illustrator is about aviation. It is a beautiful and informative book that I think any kid who has an interest in aviation would love.

The book follows Grandpa Edward and his curious grandkids, Molly and Simon, as they explore the history of flight. Grandpa and the kids are nice additions to make the book more lighthearted and relatable but is by no means the focus of the book. It helps the reader feel like they are getting a nice history lesson from Grandpa (in a good endearing way!)

The star of the book are its illustrations. They are absolutely beautiful. Each page is filled with them, accompanied by intriguing facts. The illustrations really enhance the reading experience and also makes the engineering aspects of the book more engaging and simple to understand for kids.

I think this book is great for young aviation fans and would make a great addition to any classroom or home library.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC!
