Description

*Published by our sister imprint, Beaming Books

Deep in the Caribbean Sea lived a tiny, timid whale named Will.

Will wants nothing more than a friend. But she is so teeny-tiny that no one ever seems to notice her. She is ignored at finball practice, never chosen to play in the orca-stra, and always forgotten in a game of shell-and-seek. After plucking up all her courage, she sets out to find a friend. But when she finally finds the friends she's been dreaming of, who will stick up for them?

Through enchanting, under-the-sea illustrations, Will and Krill tells a tale for shy and quiet kids, encouraging them to find where they belong--and use their voice when it really matters.

I'm really glad that I got the chance to get an ARC copy of this book. It's definitely a book that I would read to my own kids, aged 4 and 2.

The illustrations are simply stunning, the colors and the whole vibe they give is so dreamy. The story is beautiful and beautifully written, with many lessons to learn from it, such as the importance of friendship, of finding your own voice and fight for what you care for. The soft and sweet way are those important things are said is so heartwarming.

Oh my gosh, this book is too sweet. Will is a quiet, timid whale who doesn't have any friends and mostly keeps to herself. But when her usually comfortable quiet gets to be too much, she sets out in search of a true friend. She gets lost in her travels, and comes across a tiny krill. Can a whale be friends with a krill? Can they help her find her way home?

This is an adorably illustrated story with a beautiful lesson and even some funny ocean puns to boot! Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me with a free eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Very pretty colors. This book has a gentle feel to it. The message behind this book would be great for any shy kid out there. This book is a must have for ocean creature lovers.

Will and Krill is a short and sweet whale tale that inspires believing in yourself against all the odds, discovering you can be fiercely brave with the right motivation, and how you can sometimes find friendship even in the most unlikely places. The illustrations in the book are colorful and beautifully done leaving lots to look at and search for on every page. My son loved to spy all the different sea creatures and made his own “look and find” game throughout the whole book.

Thanks to the author and publisher for allowing us the opportunity to beta read this adorable story and for inviting us into a magical under-the-sea world where we got to see even the tiniest of us can accomplish big things.

Will and Krill. Such a cute read to my little one. Loved the illustrations with it as well. As I was reading this story to my little one, I thought, no matter small you may seem or how quiet you are, or as someone not being seen by others, you can still make an impact on someone who is willing to see you. Sometimes you just need the right friends to bring that out of you.
